A few days later, Baek-Hyun noticed ji-ho was avoiding him, even in class, he did everything to get her attention or try to distract her from lessons, but she ignored him, at times they came in contact with each other in the corridors but she ignored him, even at home when lecturing him.
Baek-Hyun stared out from his inn window, he was surprised to see ji-ho with Dang-Geun outside the school gate laughing and chatting with each other, his body was boiling with anger and pain, then he saw them bide each other goodbyes and saw Dang-Geun enter his car and drove off. he tightened his fists and close the window bind. Ji-ho was walking to her office smiling to herself when suddenly a hand dragged her into a room and shut the door pressing her against the door.
“Baek-hyun”. she called surprisedly as she saw the angry look on his face. ” what are you doing? How dare you drag me in like that?”. she muttered angrily. Baek-Hyun scoffed and stared deeply into her eyes with his hands resting on the door to prevent her from escaping.
“Why are you doing this to me, little pumpkin? Why are you avoiding me?”.
” How do you mean? Will you just let me go”.
“Am I that ugly to you? Why can’t you see that I like you, do you think I was joking when I said I like you?”. ji-ho scoff.
” Are you kidding me right now”. she pushes him off a little and then folds her arms across her Brë@št. “Can you hear the word you are saying to me right now, do I look like a joke to you, for goodness sake Baek-hyun, I am your teacher and the relationship you are seeking between us is not going to happen, you are like a younger brother to me and there is no way things will ever happen between us, stop acting like a child and grow up for once”. she muttered sounding serious.
” what you are trying to say is that I don’t fit into your statutes?”. he said
“Way beyond that, we can never happen, you are not my type, the earlier we realize that the better for all of us, you are still a kid, what your heart should be focusing on right now is your studies and not something like this, you are too young for all these, you got a lot of life to live and stop being a distraction to yourself”. she turned to leave and Baek-hyun called her back feeling hurt and heartbroken.
” Does that mean you don’t like me, even if we cross paths again? he said and Ji-ho sighed still backing him.
“Yes Baek-Hyun, I don’t like you and even if we decided to meet again, I would still see you as the naive boy that you are, that’s what you are to me, so, stop filling your hopes in an empty basket, we can never happen, it will be of our best interest if you stop stalking me and started seeing me as your teacher”. she said and walk away, Baek-hyun was heartbroken as a tip of tears fell off his eyes, he leans and stumbled to the floor sobbing quietly as he rests his face on his leg. Meanwhile, ji-ho rushed to the restroom feeling hurt as well as tip of tears crawling out of her eyes, she felt her heart beating fast, she stood in front of the mirror, turned on the water, and splashed some on her face to calm down her emotions. Meanwhile, Chan-yeol and Byung-ho were relaxing in the field.
“Have you seen Baek-Hyun? ” Byung-yeol asked.
“I don’t know, probably in the inn”. Chan-yeol replied then two female students came over to them holding a little rectangular box.
” hi Byung-ho, hi chan-yeol,” they said smiling faintly at them.
“hey beautiful, what can we do for you?”. Chan-yeol asked flirting with them and Byung-ho sighed.
“We brought you guys something”. 1st girl said as she handed over her present to Chan-yeol and he received it warmly.
” Thank you”. he said and the other girl pointed her present to Byung-ho with her head low to the ground, Byung-ho stared at her for a while and turned his face to his phone, chan-yeol saw how disappointed the girl looked. “um, don’t worry, I will give it to him later, Byung-ho is usually shy with beautiful girls like you”. he said as he took the gift from her and Byung-ho stare hard at him, then the girls walk away smiling.
” I didn’t ask you to take that present from her?”
“How can you reject such a present from a beautiful girl? Sometimes I wonder if you don’t like girls, so tell me”. he whispered in his ear. ” Are you gay?” he asked and smacked his head and groaned in pain “Ouch!”.
” You are unbelievable!”. Byung-ho said, standing up and walking away, suddenly he pumped into someone making her drop her bag.
“Watch where you are going!”. she yelled and her voice was sweet and angelic. Byung-ho was caught off guard by her beauty, he couldn’t believe the angel before him, she was white in complexion, with dark hair that was tied in a ponytail, and her eyes were dark brown with a pointed nose and a sëxy pink lip and her body stature was that of a model, Byung-ho could stop drooling at her because her familiar beauty was that of Ji-ho, she was looking so innocent and attractive. Chan-yeol happened to have a photo of both of them as he walked in on them, he could see the sparkling light between them. Byung-ho regains himself.
” Am sorry “. he said and the girl let out a faint smile.
” Is okay, I should have watched my way too”. she said
“Sure”. they smile at each other awkwardly.
” Um, am looking for the teacher’s office and I am kinda lost”. she said and Chan-yeol rushed into their midst and interrupted them.
“Oh yeah, we know the direction”. Chan-yeol said as he rested his hand on Byung-ho shoulder smiling at her.
” You do? Please where is the direction?”
“we will take you there, by the way, I’m Chan-yeol, and this is Byung-ho”.
” Okay, nice to meet you guys, am SI-U 시우”.

“Wow, such a beautiful name from a beautiful lady like you”. chan-yeol complimented her and she blushed, Byung-ho sighed tiredly at Chan-yeol, and he turned to leave, but chan-yeol stopped him.” Byung-ho can take you there, he was actually going that way”. he added and Byung-ho stared quickly at him and he winked at him.
“Really?” she turns to Byung-ho and smiles faintly at him.” can you take me there?”.
“Um– he got interrupted by Chan-yeol.
” Sure he will”. he whispered in his ear “Don’t miss this chance, bro”. he said and walked away.
” So, shall we?”. she asked.
“O-okay,”. he replied and they walked in that direction, both were stealing gazes at each other.
” You..” both said and they chuckled.
“you first”. Byung-ho said.
” Okay, You school here, right?”. she asked.
“Yeah”.
“So, can you tell me more about the school?”.
” Yeah, well –” they started talking and laughing around, few students who saw them were wondering and also surprised to see Byung-ho chatting and laughing with a strange girl because he never laughed or tried to talk to a girl, they all thought he was into guys. Just then they arrived at the school corridor still chatting, and suddenly SI-U caught sight of Miss Ji-ho coming out from the office.
“언니 (eonni)! (means elder sister)”. she called and Byung-ho was surprised to know Miss Ji-ho was her sister, Ji-ho turned in their direction.
” Si-u”. she called happily and she ran to hug her.
“I miss you, big sis”.
” Me too”. they pulled away from each other smiling. “Hope this place wasn’t difficult to trace?”.
” not really, although I was lost in finding your office, Byung-ho helped me out”. she said and Ji-ho turned to him.
“Thank you Byung-ho”. she said and gave a slight nod. ” Are you hungry?” she asked and Si-u nodded”Okay, let’s go grab lunch”. they left smiling, Byung-ho stared after them for a while and he walked away.
Some hours later, Baek-Hyun was inside his room with his friends, he rested on the sofa lost in thought as Ji-ho words echoed in his head and his friends lay on the bed operating their phones at the same time laughing and chatting.
“We can never happen, you are not my type, the earlier we realize that the better for all of us, you are still a kid, what your heart should be focusing on right now is your studies and not something like this, you are too young for all these, you got a lot of life to live and stop being a distraction to yourself”. he let out a sigh and his friends stared at him and they could see the sad look on.
” Is he okay?” Byung-ho asked.
“I don’t think so”. Chan-yeol replied.
” Yes Baek-Hyun, I don’t like you and even if we decided to meet again, I would still see you as the naive boy that you are, that’s what you are to me, so, stop filling your hopes in an empty basket, we can never happen, it will be of our best interest if you stop stalking me and started seeing me as your teacher”. he closes his eyes and lowers his head to the ground.
“We should definitely ask him what is wrong “. Chan-yeol said and they moved to sit next to Baek-Hyun on the sofa.
” Baek-Hyun, are you okay?”Byung-ho asked.
“What’s wrong with you? You look pale”. Chan-yeol asked.
” am fine”. he replied
“You don’t look fine, something is eating you up, tell us we are your buddy”. Byung-ho said and Baek-Hyun let out a deep sigh and rested his head on the edge of the sofa staring at one spot.
” You guys shouldn’t worry, I am fine”. he said calmly and they were not okay with his words.
“Are you sure?” chan-yeol asked and he nodded.
“if this is what you want miss Ji-ho, then I will respect your decision, so let’s see how long you can keep me away from you,” Baek-Hyun said to himself grinning.
