Chapter nine
The next day, ji-ho and Si-u sat down at the dining having their breakfast.
“Why did you take that risk?”. ji-ho quarrel.
” I didn’t know it was going to turn up like that”. she replied.
“Who drive you home last night?”.
” It was Byung-ho”. she smile and ji-ho raise her eye Brown to her.
“Byung-ho?”.
” mm-hm”
“Okay, that’s nice, but how did he find you?” she stare unknowingly at her.
“Actually, he saved me from being robbed”. she said and ji-ho went surprised.
” What?”.
“yeah, but, am fine, they didn’t do anything to me because Byung-ho was there early to save me”. she smile and got hit on the hand. ” ouch!”
“This is why I always tell you to be careful, what if Byung-ho wasn’t there to save you?”. she yelled at her.
” Am sorry, it won’t happen again”. she said making a baby face.
“It better be”.she frowned and they continue eating.
Baek-Hyun was having his breakfast when suddenly Chan-yeol and Byung-ho enter and they move to join him at the dining.
” What are you guys doing here so early? Don’t you two have homes? Why do you keep coming in here like you owe it” he said, and they scoff.
“You are ridiculous, this is also our house and we have the right to come in as we want “. Byung-ho said.
” Why? Did you bring in a girl last night”. Chan-yeol teased, then the cook came and served them their breakfast.
“So, what are your plans for today?” Byung-ho asked as he takes a sip from his coffee.
“None, going golfing, I guess”. Baek-Hyun replied.
” That’s nice, is been ages since we go golfing”. Chan-yeol said.
“yeah, I think we- he got interrupted by a phone call, he saw the caller and sighed before picking up. 📞” hey Ha-jun,” he said, and her voice came through the other end.
📞”Hey Baek-Hyun, how are you doing?”
📞 “Am good, you?”.
📞” Good”. he said and his friends were staring at him.
📞”Okay, I called to ask if you will be free later to hang out”. she said and Baek-Hyun hesitated for a while.
📞” Um, sure no problem”. he replied.
📞”Okay, see you soon”. they hung up.
” You are going on a date with her?” Chan-yeol asked.
“Is not a date, we are just hanging out”.
” What difference does that sound?” he asked.
“Do you expect me to decline, is just a friendly outing and there is no cause for alarm”. he takes a bite from his sandwich.
” You don’t have to force yourself if you don’t want to, what if a reporter saw you guys together and decided to post it online as they did before”. Byung-ho said.
“I don’t care, they can keep spreading lies, that’s not my problem right now”. He sighs sadly.
” Why? What’s wrong? Are you having problems with Ms.ji-ho?”.Chan-yeol asked and Beak-Hyun sighed.
Later in the day, ji-ho and Su-ho along with Si-u went to a local bar where they were served BBQ sauce and Soju.
“This place looks incredible”. Si-u compliment.
” Yeah, is our best place”. Su-ho said as she take a piece of the meat to her mouth” Yummy”.
“You can say that again”. Si-u said.
” Let’s cheer to life”. Ji-ho said as they raise their glasses and cheered.
“This is fun”. Su-ho said,” So, Si-u, how is the business going?”.
“Well, it’s going great”. she smiled. They continue with their drink, and just then Baek-Hyun and Ha-jun walked into the bar with their arms encircled by each other, they stood scanning where to sit, and suddenly, Ji-ho caught sight of them as their eyes meet, both were surprised to see each other.
” Let’s sit over there”. Ha-jun said as she interrupted their gaze, ji-ho looks away.
“O-okay”. they left to sit at the side of the bar, and su-ho went surprised to see them.
” Is that not…she sputtered.
“Do you know them? They look classic”. Si-u said.
” Why are they here?” Su-ho questioned.
“How do you mean? They are here to have fun like everyone here”. ji-ho said
“These people don’t look like anyone here, they look rich”. Si-u said
” Seriously, are we going to be talking about them or just continue with our fun…I mean this place is famous and everyone is allowed to come in despite his or her background”. Ji-ho said and gulp her drink.
Baek-Hyun was stealing gazes at them.
“Are you okay?” Ha-jun asked as she noticed his mood. He turns to her smiling forcedly.
“Yeah, am fine, do you like this place?” he asked as their meal was brought to them.
“Yeah, this place seems cool”. she replied as she stares around.
” I know you will like it, that’s why I brought you here, my friends and I usually come here during our school days”. he said as he served her drink.
“oh, that’s nice “. they cheer and gulp from their drink.” this taste nice”. she said. Baek-Hyun turns to ji-ho to see her laughing and chatting with her friends, he noticed the one facing him looks similar to ji-ho, he was lost and didn’t know Ha-jun was calling out to him. ” Baek-Hyun” she taps his hand and he turns to her.”you look lost, are you okay?”.
” I’m sorry” he sighs.
“You don’t like coming out with me?”.
” No, no, no, is not that, I just got a lot on my head lately, it has nothing to do with you”.
“Are you sure?”.
” Yes, let’s have fun”. they hit their glasses together and drank from them. ji-ho stood up to receive a call, Baek-Hyun saw her leaving. “Er, excuse me, I will be right back”.he stood up to leave, and Ha-jun gave him the go-ahead, he left and met Ji-ho on the phone, he stood behind her back.
📞” Okay sir, I will get back to you tomorrow morning…..okay, good night Sir”. She hung up and turn to go back inside she grips in fear.” oh gosh,”
“Am sorry, did I scare you?” he asked.
“Not really, what are you doing out here?”.
” Er, I saw you coming out, so I decided to come to say hi”. he sputtered.
“You know is kinda risky for you to be seen with another girl when you are out on a date with one already”. she said and Baek-Hyun sighed.
” is not a date, we are just hanging out”.
“Ok, good for both of you”. she smiled. ” I should head back inside now and you too should do the same, is wrong to keep a girl waiting”. she smiled faintly and turned to leave, but Baek-Hyun stops her.
“Listen, I– he got interrupted by Ha-jun.
” Baek-Hyun”. she called and they turn in her direction as she moved closer to them.” why are you out here?”
“I was about to come inside”. he replied and Ha-jun stare awkwardly at Ji-ho, their eyes met. “Who is she?” she asked and Baek-Hyun try to talk, but ji-ho cut in quickly.
“Is nothing to worry about, I was just heading back inside”. she smile at them and went inside, Ha-jun stare after her and turn her gaze back to Baek-Hyun, she could see love and affection in his eyes.” Do you know her from anywhere?”.
“Yeah, but there is no need for that, let’s go back inside”. he walks away, and she stares after him suspiciously, later on, she went inside to join him.
