CHAPTER 47 & 48•••••••
“Emily….Luciano is dead… ” Andrea blurted out, weakly.
Emily felt a loud bang in her head as time seized.
What?! Her Luciano is dead? But how is it possible, no… He can’t be dead…he’s so strong that one might think that he’s a god.
Then what about the child in her womb? So when she gives birth, her child would be fatherless?? No…Luciano can’t just leave her like that, he promised to stay by her side till the end of time…
Emily thought and heavy tears streamed down her cheek…
“Lu… Luciano.. ” Emily sobbed and choked on her sobs.
The men shut the ambulance door and got in as they drove off. Emily crashed down to the ground as her sobs grew louder.
It felt like she couldn’t breathe anymore…she gasped for air as she clutched her chest tight.
Alexa arrived, she gasped when she saw the state Emily was in,
“Emily! Just take a deep breathe!” Alexa stated, seriously.
Seeing that Emily refused to do it, she pat Emily’s back, slowly.
Emily suddenly felt her vision blurred, she lost consciousness…..

Emily’s eyes snapped open and she glanced around her surrounding, everywhere was so white and stench of medicine…
“Gosh! Glad you’re finally awake…how do you feel? ” Alexa asked, coolly as she examined Emily, closely.
“You look pale ” Alexa mumbled.
Emily just stared at Alexa blankly.
“Luciano will come back…right? ” Emily asked, coldly.
Alexa flinched because of how cold and sharp Emily’s voice was.
“Eh…not really sure…once someone dies he or she can’t come back to life again so you have to–
“What do you mean once someone dies?!!! ” Emily shrieked, angrily at Alexa.
Alexa jerked and took a step back when she saw how scary and dark Emily’s face was. Right now she looked like she was about to pounce on her..
“Luciano is alive right?! ” Emily asked, sharply.
Alexa frowned,
Is Emily going insane? Guess she needs to call the doctor…
“Yeah…yeah he is… ” Alexa uttered, dryly.
Emily nodded and lay back on the bed,
“Where is he? ” She asked, slowly.
Alexa thought of what to say and pursed her lips, this Sh|t is so annoying! The doctor had told her that
she shouldn’t do or say anything that would make Emily angry or sad that was why she was maintaining her cool.
“Well I think he’s still out for one of his missions..he will come back okay, so don’t worry ” Alexa assured, coolly.
Emily smiled, widely and shut her eyes.
“Well then you will take me to where he is tomorrow ” Emily mumbled, sweetly.
Alexa’s eyes widened and she felt a loud bang in her head,
What?!!
“But….fine tomorrow then! ” Alexa retorted through gritted teeth and left the ward.
Immediately she got outside, she met the doctor,
“Doctor..i think the patient is kinda crazy… ” She uttered, worriedly.
The doctor gave her a puzzled look…

The next day•••••• Emily sat beside Andrea as she gazed at her immensely.
Andrea let out a sad smile as she held Emily’s hand, a small sob escaped her throat.
“Am…am sorry Emily…i would’ve done my best to protect Luciano… It was just too sudden. The mission was successful, not until he got into his
own car and it exploded….i don’t know who fixed a bomb in his car… ” Andrea retorted, tearfully.
Emily just maintained her cold and emotionless face,
“Are they all dead? ” Emily asked, coldly.
Andrea sniffed,
“Mattias is still out there and Eduardo too…we did shot him but I think he was putting on a bullet proof because when
Luciano’s car exploded, we couldn’t find Eduardo anymore ” Andrea uttered, tearfully.
Emily gazed at her phone and saw that it was time to go because she and Alejandro had agreed to meet each other today.
Her phone rang and for some unknown reason, it felt like something was wrong. She picked up, slowly.
“Jordan–
“Emily am in the hospital now, Alejandro is dead!” Jordan’s panicked and tearful voice emerged from the phone.
Emily’s eyes widened and the phone dropped from her hand. Tears welled up in her eyes…
“W…what happened Emily? ” Andrea asked, worriedly.
The door swung open and Alexa strode in with a paper bag in her hand,
“The hell is going on? The room’s so cold?!” Alexa asked, dryly.
“Alejandro…is dead” Emily stated, tearfully.
“What?! ” Andrea and Alexa gasped….

That was how it was, Luciano, Alejandro and Leslie died. So today was the day for the burials. Everyone were all dressed in black. Emily was
seen among the crowd, her eyes were cold and her face was devoid of any of.
She only stood rooted on her spot as she watched as they all went to drop flowers.
“Won’t you go along with them? ” Andrea asked, slowly.
Emily shook her head, sideways.
“I don’t want to….i still feel like…all this Sh|t is fake” Emily mumbled, sadly.
After dropping flowers on each graves, the priest and everyone sang some few choruses.
Emily couldn’t stay there any longer so she turned and left, Jordan sighed and quickly ran after her.
“Emily?! ” Jordan called and Emily halted her steps.
She faced Jordan with a forced smile,
“I…i just needed space… ” Emily mumbled, sadly and tears welled up in her eyes.
“Oh my gosh, Emily ” Jordan gasped, tearfully and pulled Emily into her arms.
Emily couldn’t take it in anymore so she began to sob in Jordan’s arms.
“It’s okay…am always here for you.. ” Jordan mumbled, tearfully.
Emily shut her eyes tight and bit down hard on her lips, so just like that, she just lost three people…why was life being so cruel to her?
Emily thought and a muffled sob escaped her lips.
Jordan let out a sad sigh as she pats Emily’s back, gently.

ONE MONTH LATER •••••••
Emily sat on the couch as she stared at the TV, blankly. It was a news headline about Mattias and Eduardo, Mattias was found dead in his bathroom while Eduardo was found dead by the road side, it was stated that he jumped down from a five story building.
Jordan came out from the kitchen with a plate of chips and chicken,
“Andrea and Alexa went back to
Mexico to pay their aunt a visit, they’ll be back soon anyway ” Jordan uttered, softly.
She sat down beside Emily and touched her hair, she felt sad for Emily. Ever since the burial, Emily has been a ghost. She hardly steps out of her
room, she’s ready to stay for years without food, she’s been cold and hardly smile. At times she would gaze out through the window, to see if Luciano would just walk into his residence.
But still he never did came.
“Come on Emily, it’s time to eat. I don’t want the little champ in your stomach to starve” Jordan uttered, softly as she placed her palm on Emily’s small baby bump.
Emily sprang up from the couch, her face devoid of any emotion.
“Am not hungry ” Emily mumbled, bluntly.
“Huh? But you haven’t eaten anything since yesterday night, you–
“I don’t want to eat! “Emily cuts Jordan off, coldly and strode outside.
Jordan gazed at the plate of chips, she let out a sad sigh,
“Luciano…are you really dead? ” Jordan uttered to herself….

Meanwhile, Emily visited the graveyard, she gazed at Alejandro’s own particular grave which had his picture. A small sob escaped her lips
and she glanced at Luciano’s own, she crashed down to the floor as she sobbed, bitterly.
“If you knew that you would leave me in the end, then why did you came into my life in the first place! Why did you allow me to fall madly in love with you..! Why….. ” Emily screamed, angrily as heavy tears streamed down her pale cheek.
She suddenly heard a slight noise behind her, like the sound of a footstep..she turned back quickly but found no one there.
She sniffed and quickly stood up, she started running around trying to see who it was, she could feel it, someone was behind her, watching her.
She got to the road side as she panted heavily, she saw a man at a far distance, staring at her but she couldn’t tell who he was since he was putting on a face cap.
Emily was about to crossover to where he was but before she could close and open her eyes, he was gone.
Emily felt her heart beat increased and she bit down hard on her lips,
Was she seeing things again??
Emily panicked and quickly ran back home, she went straight to blade’s room and barged in,
“Is there any–
Emily snatched his phone from his grip, cutting him off abruptly.
“Show me the pictures of Luciano’s
dead body, fast!” Emily demanded and blade quickly searched for it and gave her to take a look.
Emily zoomed the picture as she took a close look at it,
“Emily is there any problem? ” Jordan asked, worriedly.
Emily pursed her lips and zoomed a particular spot, her eyes widened and she gasped,
“This isn’t Luciano’s body! ” Emily shrieked……
