Cindy moved closer to the object and her eyes widened at what she saw. Her gaze averted back to the man on hoodie who was making his way out of the hall as quietly as he came.
“Are you okay?” Chase inquired behind her and that jolted her out of her shocked state. She turned to him still dumbstruck.
He noticed her countenance causing him to narrow his gaze at her curiously
“Why are you looking so pale” He asked
She didn’t bother replying him but turned to look at the tickling object, Chase traced her gaze.
The bomb was tickling on a-three minute countdown; just 2 min and 45 secs remaining
“Bomb” Was the only thing she could say before passing out in his arms. Chase’s eyes dilated in shock confused on what to do at the moment.
He carried Cindy in his arms making his way out of the hall. He rushed her to the car and gently placed her there before going back to the hall.
It was a minute gone when he got back. He located the alarm and pressed the button. It blared loudly interrupting the party causing murmurs from every direction.
Chase rushed to the stage grabbing the mic from Jayden who was giving a campaign speech. The attention of everyone was on him.
“There’s a bomb in the hall” He said simply and that alone caused an uproar from the crowd. Everyone started rushing out of the big hall through the exit.
Jayden was escorted out by his guards too. In no time, the hall was empty. The bomb let out a shrill sound before exploding.

Jade suddenly stood up.as the realization hits her.
“Don’t tell me….is it what I’m thinking?”
” Yup, I planted a bomb in the party hall Jayden is hosting” He responded rolling his eyesballs. He checked his golden wristwatch causing a thin smile to appear on his lips
“It would have exploded by now; Rip to him” Felix muttered taking a gulp from his glass of wine.
” And?”
” And i automatically wins the upcoming elections, there’ll be no other contestant” Felix answered
” That will be in your dreams! Why would you make such rash decision? What if they start pointing fingers at you? Of course, all accusing fingers will be pointed at you if anything happens to Jayden. That will be a dent to your political career” Jade said with a friend playing on her face. She was obviously not pleased with his actions
“Not like they’ll ever find out” He mumbled
” And what if they request for an investigation?” Jade retorted
” That’s why we have Festus here right?” Felix turned to look at Festus who sneered at him.
The only person who wasn’t interested in the whole conversation was Fabian who was staring at the screen all through. He had a pen and a small jotter with him looking serious as ever.
He suddenly sighed deeply
“800 million dollars so far” He said to no one in particular

“Father Micheal?” Her eyes widened in shock
She shook her head not believing her eyes. She never expected him to be there of all places. Father Micheal stared back at her wondering why she was there too.
She said the only thing that came to her mind at that moment
“Don’t tell me that you are here to but one of these girl?” She blurted out making him scoff
“What!!?”
” Who knows? You are strange so…..
“You seriously think I’ll do such inhumane thing? Taking these innocent girls away from their loved one? Making them do things against their wish?” Father Micheal uttered
” Who knows” She shrugged her shoulders
” At least, I wouldn’t turn a blind eye to an obvious case” He retorted
” What do you mean?”
” The fact that you were paid to keep quiet and shun the face that Mr Garry was murderer” He answered
” What!!?”
” Good day” He added before walking out of the big hall
” What did he just say? I’m a fair prosecutor who stands for justice” She shouted behind him but her voice got drowned by others
“He always has the last word” She muttered kicking her legs in the air. She brought out her phone and took pictures of the activities going on before leaving.

Father Micheal staggered into the monastery holding his head tightly. He kept on bumping into things as he wasn’t even watching where he was heading to.
The sounds alerted Sister Abigail who was almost asleep in her room. She rushed out immediately
“Father Micheal!” She called going to him, she coughed loudly as she caught a strong smell of alcohol on him.
“He drinks too?” She asked no one in particular
She helped him to his room and he got on the bed. He laid flat on it, his hand still holding his head.
“I wonder where he is coming from this late” She mumbled helping him to remove his shoes and socks.
” Rina” He mumbled in his sleep making her look at him. The first thing that caught her attention was a drop of tear which had just rolled down from his eyes
She blinked her eyes rapidly in surprise wondering who Rina is at the same time

Thelma rubbed her temples sighing deeply, Father Micheal’s words kept on playing in her head over and over.
“Gosh!” She almost screamed running her hand through her hair. It was like she would go crazy anytime soon.
She turned sharply to her assistant who had been watching her the whole time
“I have something for you” She said
” Huh?”
” I want you to carry out a private investigator on Mr Garry’s case. Find out everything” She commanded
” I’ll inform the police right away”
“No….Do it yourself, I want it to be carried out secretly, no one must know about this. It should be between you and I” Thelma said

Director Calvin averted his gaze from Cindy to Chase while nodding his head to the song.
“This is great!” He remarked hitting the table happily
“How about we release it this weekend? That sounds great right?” He added searching their gazes
“Isn’t that too soon?”
” With the news of Chase being the superhero at the party last night, it will help us hit. The song might take a Grammy award” He replied
” Who would plant a bomb in a party? For what reason?” Cindy thought aloud cleverly diverting the conversation
” Politics is a dangerous game, it was obviously to eliminate Jayden” Director Calvin replied
Chase’s phone suddenly buzzed loudly and he took it. He stared at the notification for a while before turning back to look at them.
“The person who planted the bomb had been found” He blurted out

Thelma switched on the lights as she made her way into the house. She dropped her bag carelessly on the couch
“Mom!!” She called loudly oy to be greeted by silence which was rather unusual. She went to the kitchen hoping to find Valerie there but she didn’t.
“Mom!!” She called again heading towards Valerie’s room. Without knocking, she barged into the room.
Valerie was on the bed crying really hard making her jaw drop.
“Mom!”
