{ THE DINNER }
“Yes. Let’s break up.” He dropped the bombshell
and Brielle’s eyes widened.
Aubrey gasped, but a small sly smile crept on
her lips immediately.
“Wh… What are you talking about?” Brielle
asked and Pierce looked at her, with no
emotions in his eyes.
“You heard me right. It’s over.” He said and
Aubrey could be seen grinning from where she
stood.
Pierce made to walk away but Brielle held his
hand.
“No, you can’t be serious Pierce. What did I do? I
promise to apologize, please… Don’t break up
with me.” She begged and Pierce scoffed,
removing her hand from his.
“You don’t need to do anything for me to end
things. You know better than anyone that I don’t
do anything beyond a week but we’ve been for
two weeks, tsk…” Pierce twitched his lips.
“You jerk! I thought I was different!” Brielle
yelled.
“You wish… Let’s go.” He said to Aubrey and
began walking away.
“Is it because of her?” Brielle suddenly asked
and Pierce stopped walking but he didn’t turn to
look at her.
Brielle turned to look at him.
“What’s your relationship with her?” He asked,
referring to Aubrey and Pierce turned with a
scoff.
“I don’t think that’s supposed to be your
business.” He said walking towards her.
He held Aubrey’s wrist and Aubrey gasped.
Pierce turned and began walking away with
Aubrey who never stopped staring at his hand
on hers, then she slowly looked up to his face
with a smile forming on her lips.
Brielle remained in her spot, with her fists
clenched tightly.

<MYLES’ MANSION>
Starr pulled the car to a halt in the garage. He
turned off the ignition and got down the car,
carrying his school bag.
He began walking to the house and just
immediately, the door opened and Cassidy
walked out of the house with Doctor James.
He raised his brows as he walked slowly till he
got to them.
“Hey Starr. You’re back?” Cassidy asked but he
didn’t reply, he just stared at the two.
“I’ll leave now.” Doctor James said and walked
towards his car which was parked in the garage.
Starr who had been watching him leave,
returned his gaze to his mother.
“Why was he here?” He asked and Cassidy
rolled her eyes.
“I don’t think I owe you an explanation. But still..
. I brought the oldie here.” She said and Starr
raised a brow.
“James would be visiting to take care of him.
Don’t visit him Starr. I’m warning you, I’ll be
leaving for Spain, for a business trip.” She
informed before walking into the house.
Starr sighed before going in as well.

<NEXT DAY ** SHOPPING MALL>
Snowy was actually in the mall with Clara. She
actually came to buy some foodstuffs. She
promised to make dinner for her and to fulfill
their promise, she was out to buy the
ingredients to prepare the dinner.
“Mom, this?” Snowy asked, showing her the
tomatoes tin and Clara smiled, collecting it from
her, then she placed it in the trolley.
Clara’s phone suddenly began ringing, and she
picked up the phone.
“Carry on Snowy, I have to take this. I’ll be right
back.” She said, stroking Snowy’s hair and
Snowy nodded with a smile.
“Hello…” Clara said, leaving.
Snowy continued picking all they would need,
she was actually holding the list of things they
wanna buy.
Brittany and Baby were also in the mall, and it
was just the rack in front that separated them
from Snowy.
“Starr has a thing for that new girl? Why don’t I
find it surprising?” Baby asked as they walked,
she was actually the one rolling the trolley while
Brittany just followed.
“Can you please be serious for once?” Brittany
rolled her eyes and Baby smiled.
“C’mon Brittany. Get over this guy. He doesn’t
worth you at all. I don’t see what you like in him,
he’s super boring.” Baby said.
“I love him that way.” She said and Baby shook
her head.
They turned with the trolley, to the roll that
Snowy was. Snowy who had finished shopping
that rack, began moving with her trolley looking
around if she could catch a glimpse of what she
needed.
“Speak of the devil.” Baby said, as she was the
first to see Snowy.
Brittany followed her gaze and it landed on her.
Then, Brittany began walking to Snowy.
Baby left her trolley and followed behind.
Snowy stopped walking immediately she saw
them.
What do they want?
“What are you doing here?” Baby asked and
Snowy raised a brow.
What sort of question?
“I’m here to shoot a movie. Since you showed
up, why not join me.” Snowy said and Baby
glared at her.
“Bítch!” Baby growled.
“It’s Snowy. I still love the name my mom gave
to me, so stick to your name.” Snowy said with
and eye roll and Baby glared.
She felt like slapping Snowy right now but she
knew she was no match to the girl in front of
her, she had watched her beat Brielle that day
and she wasn’t ready for same fate.
“Sunny or wh@tëver you’re called, I don’t care.
What’s your relationship with Starr?” She asked
and Snowy raised a brow.
“I don’t understand. You’re not interrogating me
right now, are you?” Snowy asked and Brittany
glared at her.
“Füçking speak!” She yelled but Snowy looked
unmoved.
Okay, she has been trying not to h@të this lady
coz she has been trained to love everyone but
then this girl keep stepping on her toes.
First, she had to crush on the same guy as her
and she was gonna let it lay low but then,
interrogating her?
“I owe you no goddamn explanation! Get the
hell out of my way!” Snowy said with a serious
look on her face.
Brittany made to slap her but someone held her
hand midair.
They turned to see Starr standing beside Snowy.
“Starr?” Brittany whispered and Starr glared at
her.
“What do you think you were trying to do?” He
asked softly and Brittany gulped down nothing.
“I… I was actually…”
“She was actually trying to stroke my hair, right
Britt?” Snowy suddenly said with an a smirk and
Brittany gulped down and nodded.
She couldn’t afford to make a bad image of
herself in front of Starr.
“Yes.” She nodded and Starr let go of her hand.
Baby stared surprisedly.
“What the… Füçk!” She screamed inwardly.
“It’s nothing… We were just talking as friends…”
Snowy said walking closer to Brittany and she
leaned to her ear.
“You better get out while you still have time,
don’t repeat this Sh|t ever again.” She whispered
to her and Brittany nodded with an obvious fake
smile.
“I’ll see you in school Snowy. Bye!” She waved
and began walking away.
Baby followed in confusion.
Snowy smiled before turning to Starr.
“Don’t tell me you followed me here? Where you
missing me?” She asked with a grin and Starr
rolled his eyes as he walked with her with his
trolley.
“Don’t get your hopes high. Needed to get some
foodstuffs.” He said and she nodded.
“You’re always buying foodstuffs yourself, what
about your mom?” Snowy asked and he
stopped walking.
She looked at him, “What’s wrong? Did I say
something wrong?” She asked and Starr sighed.
Understanding he doesn’t wanna talk about it,
she quickly change the topic.
“Well, don’t you think there’s something unique
in this shopping mall? I mean, we’re literally
bumping into each other here.” She said and
Starr raised a brow.
“Really? But this is the first.” He said and Snowy
gasped.
“Don’t you remember the first day we met? You
caught me from falling! Remember?” Snowy
asked and Starr shook his head.
“No.” He lied and she gasped.
How could he forget such a wonderful moment.
To her, that was the best day of her life. The day
she met him, how could he forget?!
She immediately pulled his hand, running to the
same spot the thing happened.
“Look at this place, try remembering.” She said
looking at him hopefully and Starr sighed.
“You’re making it seem like I have amnesia right
now. I don’t remember.” He said and she sat on
the floor, as if all hope was lost.
Starr stared in disbelief, she never seems to
amuse him. He thought.
She immediately stood up, as if remembering
something.
“Okay, I’ll bump into you and when I’m about to
fall, catch me by my waist and let’s stare into
each other’s eyes for two minutes.” She said
and Starr stared speechlessly.
“Ready?” She asked and Starr chuckled slightly
and Snowy took that for a yes.
She went back and began running to him and
Starr there waiting for him, then she
intentionally bumped into him and began falling
waiting for Starr to catch her immediately but
Starr just stood watching her with his hands
inserted in his pocket.
“Catch me! I’m gonna fall!” She yelled waving
her hands in the air, she still hasn’t fallen.
Starr chuckled and began walking away and
Snowy immediately stood straight.
“That jerk! I swear I’m gonna make you regret
this when I finally get you to fall for me.” She
said, staring at his back figure with
determination.
Her face suddenly turned sore. “How could he
not remember that day! Wait for me jerk!” She
shouted and ran after him.
The two were at the counter when Clara
appeared.
“Hey Snowy, got all?” She asked and Snowy
nodded.
“Yeah. You kinda took alot of time.” She said
and Clara nodded with a smile.
“Work… But today is for you darling.” She said
before paying for the goods.
Starr who had already settled his payment was
about leaving but Snowy ran after him and
pulled him back.
“C’mon wait.” She said to him before facing her
mom.
“Mom, this is Starr. My classmate, he’s veryyy
intelligent.” She whispered the last part to her
mom and Clara smiled.
“Starr, my beautiful mom.” She introduced and
Starr rubbed the nape of his neck.
He wasn’t used to use introduction. He finds it
difficult to associate with people.
“Hi ma’am.” He greeted and Clara smiled at him.
“How are you?” Clara asked and he stared at
her.
He has never been asked that question and it
kinda spank an emotion in him.
He just smiled at Clara, his eyes getting glassy
but he quickly stopped the tears by pressing his
eyelids on each other.
Snowy smiled.
“Mom, he’s actually an introvert.” Snowy said as
they walked out of the mall.
Snowy dropped all the things they bought in
their car’s trunk and she rushed to Starr.
“Actually, my mom isn’t going to work today as
it’s weekend so she’s making a dinner for me, so
we could spend time together. But it’s just two
of us, and it’s gonna be boring so I was thinking
maybe I should invite you. Please don’t say no
Starr, please.” She pleaded with a puppy eye.
Starr looked at Clara who was watching them
from where she stood, wondering what she was
saying to him.
“Please Starr.” Snowy pleaded and Starr sighed
in defeat.
He just can’t say no to her.
“Okay.”
“Yippee!!!”

<CLARKE’S MANSION>
Aubrey knocked on Pierce door, hugging to her
teddy bear as she waited for his response.
“Who’s it?”
“It’s me.” She said opening the door, and she
popped her head in.
She could see him playing game in his laptop.
“Can I come in?” She asked, walking in already.
“You’re already in. What do you want?” Pierce
asked and Aubrey sat down on his bed, and
placed the teddy beside her.
“Mom and dad ain’t at home and this house is
big and boring.” She said and Pierce looked at
her and scoffed.
“Big and boring? Don’t tell me you want me to
play with you?” He raised his brows and Aubrey
scoffed.
“I’m not a kid. I was just saying that, I can’t sleep
in my room alone, so I’ll be sleeping in your
room for the time being.” She said and Pierce
scoffed.
“You’re joking right now?”
“I’m not,” she said and laid on the bed, Pierce
immediately got down from the chair he was
sitting on and walked to her.
He held her leg and began dragging her off the
bed.
“Ah! Let go of me!” She screamed as he pulled
her off the bed and she immediately stood on
her feet and made to climb the bed again but
Pierce held her arm and she began struggling to
get off his hold and the two ended up falling on
the bed with Aubrey on top.
Aubrey swallowed nothing as she stared at him,
his blue eyes which were peering at her. Her
gaze went down to his glossy pink lips and she
gulped down.
Pierce immediately pushed her off and she
landed her butt on the floor.
“Ouch!” She winced and Pierce rolled his eyes.
“Get out!” He said coldly and Aubrey stood up in
tears.
“But I’m bored! There’s nothing to do in this
house and I was only looking for someone to
talk to!” Aubrey whined.
“Talk to the objects in your room.” Pierce said
and she frowned.
“Really? Why are you being harsh to me?! I
know I’m not your sister, but a little sympathy
will do, stop being cold towards me!” She yelled
in tears and Pierce looked at, expressionlessly.
“What did I ever do to you? Why do you h@të me
so much? I just…” She hiccuped and she shook
her head, grabbing her teddy which was on the
floor.
“It’s fine.” She said, running out of the room, still
crying.

<MACDONALD’S MANSION>
Snowy was busy watching the clock, time to
time as she anticipated Starr’s arrival. It was
already 7pm and her mom had already started
setting the dinning table but he still hasn’t
showed up.
Was he planning not to come?
“C’mon Snowy, he’ll be here soon. Relax.” Clara
said as placed the dishes on the dinning table.
Ms Sara doesn’t work during the weekend as
she visits her family during that period, so she
takes it upon herself to keep the house in during
her absence.
The doorbell suddenly dinged and like a flash,
Snowy was already at the door. She was about
opening the door but stopped and ran back
immediately.
“Mom, while we’re having dinner with Starr, can
you please tell him to be my maths tutor. You’re
my mom, he’ll listen to you. He’s very good at
maths.” Snowy said and Clara nodded.
“Thanks mom! You’re the best!” Snowy smiled
at her before rushing back to get the door.
Her face fell immediately she opened the door,
only to see the delivery guy there.
“A pizza was ordered. Here.” The guy handed it
to her and she collected it with a disappointed
look. The guy turned and began leaving and
Snowy started closing the door but she stopped
immediately she saw Starr just walking into the
compound.
He was wearing an earpiece and his two hands
dipped in the pocket of his white pants.
“Starr!” Snowy grinned and Starr gave a small
smile, taking off one earpiece as he got to the
door.
“You really came! Tho late.” She pouted and
Starr mouthed an ‘O’.
“Maybe I should go back and try coming back
early.” He suggested, looking serious and Snowy
slapped his arm.
“Where did you learn how to joke?” She asked
and he smiled as they walked in.
“Starr? You’re here! Thank goodness! Snowy
couldn’t stop waiting, she almost went out to
fetch you.” Clara said and Snowy whined.
“Mommm!”
“C’mon, sit.” Clara gestured and Starr took his
sit.
Snowy did the same, beside him and Clara
began serving the dish. It was fried rice and
salad, cooked with grilled chicken. A glass of
orange juice alongside.
Clara sat on another chair, opposite Starr.
Starr exhaled before picking up the spoon.
When was the last he ever got to eat with
someone? He doesn’t remember.
Really, his life has been boring.
He thought as he ate with them.
“Starr, Snowy told me you’re good at maths.”
Clara started a conversation and Starr looked at
Snowy before Clara and he simply nodded.
“Wonderful. That’s awesome.” He said and
Snowy smiled.
“Well Starr, Snowy asked me to tell you to be her
maths tutor.” Clara said and Snowy’s eyes
widened.
“Mom!” She screamed.
“What? Didn’t I get the line correctly?” Clara
asked innocently and Snowy slapped her
forehead in embarrassment.
Starr chuckled as he ate silently.
