Josephine’s eyes got locked with his after that
statement, and she could detect the cunning
scheme behind his voice.
He won’t be losing on both sides.
“That’s cheating, you are so cunning” She
laughed, and poked her finger on his chest.
“So you are not in the deal?” He asked.
“I’m but you will stop kissing me if you don’t get
the full marks” She replied, and he shook his
head.
“I can’t take such chances, let’s cancel the bet”
He said, and she laughed louder.
“You are afraid huh!?” She smirked.
“Let’s say I’m afraid, I’m addicted to your lips, I
can’t stop kissing it, I might die” He said and she
looked at him.
“Do you realize I’m your teacher and I’m older,
we shouldn’t be doing this”
“We both want this so can you stop thinking
about that?” He asked, staring lovingly at her.
Josephine sighed softly.
“Why do you h@të Laurent so much?” She asked.
“I don’t know but I don’t like him around you”
“Are you jealous or something?” She questioned.
“I’m jealous when I see him around you, I just
don’t want him close to you” He replied
sincerely, and she looked at him again.
“Why?”
“I don’t know” He answered, looking back at her
face.
“We are in the office, anybody might come in,
and the lecture is still going on in your class”
She said.
“Nobody will come in, and do you forget you are
talking about the most brilliant student here” He
bragged, making her laugh.
“You are so cute” He said affectionately, and
stole a kiss from her lips.
“Kiddo, stop” She said, changing from what she
wanted to say actually.
She wanted to tell him about the arranged
marriage her father is planning for her but she
stopped herself.
“Do you know how sëxy it sounds when you
Mõ@n my name?” He smirked teasingly, and her
eyes widened.
“What!” She gasped embarrassingly.
“Leave my office now” She said, and he started
laughing.
“Are you feeling embarrassed?”
“Leave please” She looked away from him.
Pascal pecked her cheeks and walked out of the
office, smiling to himself.
“Gosh!!” She muttered, covering her cheeks with
her hands.
“I’m going crazy and I can’t even say it” She
said, fanning her face.
THE GIANT*
“You need to have a better sense of
communication when talking with your client,
don’t let your emotions take over you, you have
to tolerate them, this will make you a better
CEO” Mindy kept listening as her father
explained how to be a good CEO, she looked at
her time and sighed, he had been lecturing her
for almost an hour now, and she was getting
bored with it.
“Dad, can we rest for now?” She asked cutely,
and he looked at her.
“You are tired already, you need to have all
these things..
“I’m not taking over the company now, I already
agreed to take up a position in the company, I
will gradually learn, you are still young” She
said, and he hit her head.
“Papa” She pouted.
“You won’t stop being silly, you can go now but
get back here, don’t go home yet, I want to
introduce you to some of my investors from
Germany”He said, and she stood.
“Love you papa” She kissed his left side check,
and walked out of the office.
“I’m free now, can’t believe I’m back to school
again” She said and took her phone out.
“I think I should go on the date with him today”
She muttered, and took her phone, texting
Pascal. She smiled and pocketed her phone.
A door opened behind her, and Julius came out
of the office.
“Mindy” He called and she looked back.
“Julius” She smiled, and he went closer.
“How are you?” He asked.
“I’m fine, just hungry” She replied.
“Let’s go to the company canteen, I’m heading
there too”
“You came to deliver some papers?” She asked,
and he nodded.
They walked to the elevator and entered
together, it took them to the canteen floor, and
the workers started making space as they saw
Mindy.
“What are they doing?” Mindy asked.
“Making space for you” He replied beside her.
The workers started greeting her respectfully,
and she frowned. This is the reason she rejected
getting introduced to the workers but her father
insisted and introduced her as the heiress to the
company.
“Can you people stop treating me like a queen,
I’m a worker here” She said, and the workers
smiled.
She settled down with Julius and he ordered for
them, it came in shortly, after they started
eating.
Julius could hear some of the workers
whispering about his closeness to her but he
ignored it.
“Why don’t you want to take over the company
yet?” He asked, and she faced him.
“I want a free life, I wish I was born poor” She
said, and he gasped.
“What”
“You are unbelievable, people like us are
wishing to be like you”
“You are rich, you have a car and a mansion, I
just don’t want to handle responsibilities”
“You can’t run away from it, your father will
surely retire one day” He smiled, and she
nodded.
“I will be waiting to be your secretary then” He
said, and she laughed.
“Sure, secretary Julius” She said jokingly, and
they laughed.
LAURENT’S MANSION*
Laurent stormed angrily into his mansion. His
face was visible with his anger. He remembered
Pascal’s face and he squeezed his hand tightly.
“That brat, who does he think he’s, I can’t believe
she asked me to leave instead of him, wait, I
hope what I’m suspecting is not true, could she
be in love with him, I need to keep an eye on
them” He said.
He was about to walk to the cellar when his
Bîtch came downstairs, half dressed.
“Baby” She ran to him, and tried hugging him
but he pushed her away, and started leaving to
the cellar.
“What? Why are you this way, who provoked
you?” She asked, walking after him.
He got there and took out a bottle, without
looking at her, he left.
“His anger is scary” She sighed.
SUNRISE EATERY*
Camila served a customer and turned to go
serve another one but she stopped when she
saw Nathan serving him already. He bowed at
the customer and walked to her.
“Nathan” She smiled.
“You have been working since morning, you
need to rest” He said.
“But there are so many customers, I can’t rest
even if I want” She replied, and he smiled.
“Come” He took her hand and walked away with
her to the kitchen.
He made her sit on a chair, he took a white
small towel and he started cleaning the sweat
on her face. Her eyes couldn’t leave his face as
he did that, and she found herself staring at his
lips.
She swallowed hard as she kept staring.
He stopped and smiled at her, she smiled back.
“I will take over the serving” He smiled sweetly.
“But…
“Complain and I will kiss your pouty lips” He
said, and she blushed.
“Just rest ok, Nathan is here, I’m an African, we
are very strong in everything, even the bedroom
stuff” He whispered the last part, and she
looked at him.
“Naughty” She smiled.
“Eat something and rest, I will do everything
with Manon, you can join us later” He kissed her
forehead before leaving, taking another door.
Camila started fanning herself with her hand as
she remembered his sweetness, he’s making her
hot.
“My heart was thumping, he’s so sweet” She
blushed.
Manon was watching everything and she
couldn’t stop smiling.
“He’s the perfect one for her, my lil sister is in
love without knowing, I can’t wait for their
relationship to start, he’s so romantic, I wish
Landon is sweet like him, I wish he treats me….
“What am I thinking?” She scolded herself.
Her phone buzzed and she checked to see a text
from him.
*I haven’t seen anyone as crazy as you but you
know what I like most about you, your freeness
and simplicity, I love our argument tho*
She smiled after reading the message.
“This guy is something else, he loves it when we
argue” She smiled.
LANDON’S PLACE*
Landon got home and when he was about to
insert the key into the keyhole, a car drove there
and stopped.
“Do you need money?” He asked Pascal on the
phone.
“No, I’m fine, I will visit you on Saturday” Pascal
said.
“I will visit you, I love you” Landon said.
“I h@të you!!” Pascal screamed and hung up.
“That kiddo” He smiled and turned to the car. He
recognized the car immediately.
Clara. The door opened and Clara came out.
His eyes widened and he didn’t know when the
key fell from him. He walked to her briskly.
“How did you know my house?” He asked.
“I followed you” She replied.
“Why?”
“You are avoiding me, who were you talking on
the phone with?”
“What is that supposed to mean?”
“Answer my question”
“If you want to know it was my brother, what are
you doing here?”
“I saw you with another lady in K5 restaurant,
who’s she to you?” She asked, avoiding his
question. He moved his eyes to her.
“Are you now stalking me?” He asked.
“You refused to go out with me but you went out
with her, you were laughing with her, is she
more beautiful than me?” She yelled.
“I don’t have any explanation to give you, and I
don’t have anything to say to you”
“Go home” He said and turned, he started going
in but she went after him and grabbed him from
the back, turning him around. She cupped his
face and tried kissing him but he moved his lips
away and she kissed his cheek.
He pushed her away immediately.
“Clara stop this, I told you I’m not interested in
everything you want to have with me, if you
can’t be just my friend, let’s end it, please, go
home” Without looking at her again, he took the
fallen key and opened the door, going in.
Clara stood there and soon broke into a loud fit
of tears.
KINGS FAMILY MANSION*
Josephine got to the mansion and she went
straight to the chairman’s study room. She met
him there and he stopped reading when he saw
her.
“Daughter” He looked up.
“Father” She replied.
“I want us to talk, father” She said.
“What is it?”
“I know you are trying to get me married to your
friend’s son but I don’t have any feelings for
him, I don’t love him, I can’t marry him” She said
straight to his face.
“What do you know about love? My marriage
with your mother was an arranged one but we
fell in love with each other and we love
ourselves so much now” Chairman said.
“It works for you and mum doesn’t mean it will
work for me and Laurent, I don’t want to
disrespect you so don’t push me father” She
said.
Chairman dropped the book he was reading and
stood up, walking to her.
“Show me the Boyfriend you have” He said, and
she swallowed hard.
“You are twenty three, you are the heiress to
Kings cosmetics, you need a man in your life”
“I don’t need you to choose a man for me, I
know what I want dad” She said.
“If you want me to stop the marriage from
happening then show me a boyfriend tomorrow
or else you are going on a date with him
tomorrow and that’s final” Chairman said, and
adjusted his glasses.
“You can leave” He said.
Josephine looked at him before going out.
PASCAL’S APARTMENT*
Pascal was dressed and ready to leave for his
date with Mindy.
He sprayed himself and walked out of his room.
He took out his phone and started calling her
but she didn’t pick up.
He started typing a message when the door
opened and she came in.
“Joseline” He called but she rushed into his
arms, hugging him.
He hugged her back.
“Are you okay?” He asked worriedly, and she
sighed.
“Can you hug me for a minute?” She said, and
he hugged her tighter.
They stayed like that for one minute before he
broke the hug.
“You are okay now right?” He asked, and she
nodded.
“You are dressed, where are you going?”
“Going out with Mindy” He replied.
Josephine felt a heavy load on her heart
immediately he said that.
“Don’t go please” She softly said.
“Why?”
“Don’t leave me, stay with me” He replied.
His phone started ringing and he checked.
“She’s calling, I need to go” He said, and kissed
her cheek. He started leaving but she rushed
after him, and pushed him on the door.
“Don’t go to her” She whispered, looking at him
with her cute eyes.
“Joseline”
“Please” She whispered cutely, and he looked
into her eyes.
His phone started ringing again, and this time,
she took the phone from him and pushed
herself into him, capturing his lips.
She wrapped her hand around him while the
other held the phone.
She started kissing him feverishly, and he
couldn’t resist the delicious tenderness of her
lips, he started kissing her back.
The phone continued ringing in her hand.
