★ OH, AXEL… ★
It took almost all of Melanie’s being not to retrace her steps and rush to his arms, telling him how much she’s grown to love him.
She continued walking dejectedly as balls of tears kept rolling down her cheeks. She could feel her heart slowly ripping out of her chest.
Kylie, who was passing by with Leon, happened to see her. His eyes widened on noticing her tears and he didn’t know when he got to her front.
On seeing him, Melanie stopped walking and never bothered to clean her tears. Rather, she kept crying.
Kylie cupped her face in his hands, rubbing it soothingly as he stared deeply into her eyes.
“Why are you crying?” He asked softly.
“Did that bastard hurt you? Did he?” He asked again.
Melanie shook her head, still crying hard.
“I love him,” a sob wrenched out of her throat.
“I love him so much, I can’t…” She choked on her tears.
Kylie watched in sadness as her tears kept falling freely on her cheeks. He stretched his arm and pulled her to his chest, rubbing her hair before placing a light kiss on it.
“It’s okay, just calm down first, huh?” He whispered gently.
Melanie stood still in his arms as her tears wet his clothes badly. Slowly, her tears died down but she couldn’t stop sniffing.
Kylie broke the hug to stare at her, his thumbs went to her eyes and he cleaned her tears off.
“What happened?” He asked gently.
Melanie explained everything to him, including the part that Ace was her ex.
“And do you think that’s the best thing? Staying away from him?” He asked.
Meanwhile, Leon stood there waiting patiently for them as he couldn’t help but to eavesdrop on their conversation.
“I don’t want them to become enemies because of me,” Melanie mumbled
“It’s not up to you, Melanie. If they become enemies, that’s because they chose to, not your fault.”
“He betrayed you, he didn’t even think of friendship with your best friend, yet he did that awful act to you. Staying away isn’t the best thing, rather you should be with him, I’m sure he needs you the most at this time,”
“I thought you loved me,” Melanie said slowly.
Kylie chuckled.
“Of course I do, but I want your happiness first. If Ace claims to love you like he said, then he should let you do what makes you happy.”
“As long as you’re happy Melanie, then I’m content,” he muttered gently.
Melanie smiled before engulfing him in a friendly hug.
“Thank you, Kylie,” she whispered.

CHEMISTRY LAB***
Aaron rushed into the empty Chemistry lab and met Axel present, his head was on the table.
He sighed before walking briskly to him.
“Buddy,” he muttered.
Axel raised his head and a surprise gasp left Aaron’s lips, on noticing Axel’s bloodshot eyes.
“Holly, Molly!” Aaron exclaimed, rushing to Axel immediately.
“What the Füçk, what happened?!” He questioned.
Axel sighed before rubbing his face with his palms.
“She left me,” he whispered.
“She…” He bit his lips.
“I don’t think I can ever be happy again,” he whispered again.
“Wait, lemme understand you. Melanie left? Why?” Aaron asked, he’s surely in a confused state.
“She doesn’t want to be the bone of contention between me and Ace. She left,” Axel shut his eyes tightly. Mere thinking about it, sent a sharp pain deep inside his heart.
Can he ever cope without seeing her face? Her cute eyes? Her voice which he’s grown addicted to? Her lips which he can’t do without eating em’ up?
“I can’t do without her, I can’t,” he shook his head.
Aaron sighed and placed a hand on his shoulder.
“I know. I know how much you love her and I know how it’ll be so hard for you, but can you just give her a little time? I perfectly understand her plight, I understand her emotions right now,”
“You can never understand,” Axel muttered and stood up. He faced Aaron and flashed a little smile at him
“Have you heard from Ace and Aiden?” He asked.
“They aren’t picking their calls, I really don’t know why they’re both acting up. And Aiden? Füçk,”
“I’ll just do what they want, that should be better” Axel said.
“What has that gotten to mean?” Ace asked, staring at him suspiciously.
Axel smiled briefly and patted his arm, then he left the lab.
“Axel!” Aaron rushed after him.

Lauren and Paisley both exchanged glances after Melanie was done narrating the incident to them.
“Do you know I feel like smacking your head right now?” Lauren asked.
“How could you do that to him? That guy had done nothing but to love you, why would you stay away all because of that foolish Ace??!” She suddenly yelled.
“Or, have you forgotten? I’ll gladly remind you then,”
“This so-called Ex betrayed you, he didn’t even think twice before performing an ungodly act with your friend? Did he think about your feelings then? Did he?”
“Füçk Lanie, you keep disappointing me as days pass by, learn to stop being soft!”
“You shouldn’t be doing this right now,” Paisley suddenly spoke up.
“Annie is going through a lot right now and you saying those words is hurting her the most. You should stop” she muttered.
“I don’t just want them to become enemies all because of me, I don’t. They’ve been friends and I have to destroy that?” Melanie cried gently.
Paisley sat beside her and held her arm gently.
“As much as I’m surprised after hearing your confession, I really think you shouldn’t have done that. You love him, right? And he loves you too. Leaving at this point in time is surely not the best thing, but I can assure you that everything will be fine,”
“First time I’ve ever heard something reasonable from her,” Lauren scoffed whilst smiling secretly.
Melanie was forced to laugh, she rested her head on Paisley’s shoulder, wrapping her arms around her back.
“Thank you, Pais,” she whispered.
Lauren frowned and quickly went to join them, she hugged Melanie too.
“You can’t leave me out of the picture too,” she muttered.
Paisley laughed.
