Lauren was engrossed in her phone as little Ethan slept off on her lap.
Alex was focused on the TV he was watching. Alex looked at Lauren and smiled. For every minute, he is going to take a glance at her and smile again.
Lauren noticed the consistent glance.
“Is everything alright?
She asked.
“No, am not okay”
Alex replied and stood up. He dropped the TV remote and walked to her.
“And why?
Lauren wondered.
Alex smiled again and carried the sleeping Ethan in his arms.
“Your beauty is making me worried and unsettled”
He replied and giggled.
“Am going to lay Ethan to sleep”.
He said and walked to the bedroom.
Lauren looked at him as he walked to the bedroom. She chuckles and wonders if Alex is actually okay.
“Something must be wrong with him.
Why will he just commend my beauty suddenly?”
We’ve been together for six years now, he hasn’t said anything like that”
She thought.
Alex came back minutes later into the living room. He sat down beside Lauren on the couch.
“Alright, so back to our discussion.. now that Little Ethan is asleep, we can have a lot of time to ourselves”

Lauren asked giving him a “wondering” look.

Lauren first looked at him and then laughed.
“Are you trying to set me up with a man or do you have someone in mind that’s good for me?”

He replied.
“I want you to be happy again, Ethan baker is gone now and we have to move on, you have to move on..

“I already have someone that makes me happy and he is enough for me.

Hannah asked after she heard the knock.

Harry replied and sat down.

Harry realized he shouldn’t have said that. The plan Jemmy and Harry have been putting together for some years now to bring down Mr George.
Harry kept quiet.

“We are mapping out a good plan for Mr George and his family”
He said. Hannah got angry. She looked disappointed.

Hannah, my mind has been settled ever since Ethan’s death five years ago.
We can’t just let go like that, and I already promised Ethan on his grave, am going to avenge his death”

“And do you think Ethan will be happy you gave up? Do you think he will be happy you did nothing to avenge him?

He saw Lauren Quinn was also suffering from Mr George’s affliction, the same man who is responsible for your parent’s death. Hannah was already in tears.

Harry sighs and lies on the couch. He and Hannah just had a very serious conversation for the first time since Ethan’s death.

Little Ethan came out of the school building. Lauren was already waiting for him as she stood against her car parked near the school.
As soon as Ethan saw his mom. He smiled and rushed happily to meet her.
Lauren received him warmly and carried him in her arms.
She hugged him.
“Have missed you, Mom”
Ethan said.
“Have missed you also”
She kissed his forehead.
Are you hungry?”
Lauren asked.
He nodded with a smile on his face.
“Alright, Will you like some tacos?…
I bought some on my way”
“Yes, can I have them now?”
“Sure …
She placed Ethan down. Ethan rushed into the car to have his tacos.
Mrs Quinn?.
Someone called behind her. Lauren looked back to see Mrs Welson ( Ethan’s class grade teacher)
“Mrs Welson…
How are you doing? Thank you for taking care of my son”
“It’s fine. Mrs Quinn. It’s good we meet now to talk about your son”
She said.
Lauren sighs.

Lauren and little Ethan walked into the house. Ethan quickly tossed his backpack anywhere as always and rushed to his bedroom. Lauren noticed the house was dry and no one seemed to be around.
She remembers she didn’t see Alex’s car outside in the garage.
Ethan came back to the living room.
“Mom, where is Dad?”
He asked.
“He went out for work, he will soon be back”
Lauren quickly replied. Ethan just shrugged and walked back inside.
Lauren’ walked to the couch and sat down. That’s when she noticed the small paper note on the table. She took it and read its content.
📃 Dear Lauren, you and I have spent so much time together, I don’t know about you but those times are precious to me, I cherish them now more than ever, and now that we will no longer be together.
Am sorry things had to end this way, I guess destiny didn’t allow us to stay together forever.
My one-sided love for you hurts me much and now. How I wish you loved me back, I dreamed of having a family with you but it’s clear you are still in love with him.
Take care of little Ethan and am sorry I won’t be there for him as a father.
Mr George’s lawyer will send the divorce paper soon,
