The cops throw Alex into the cell.
“Murderer,
One of them said with a disgusting look and walked away.
“I didn’t kill anyone, I only kidnapped a kid”
Alex said.
“And you are not ashamed of that
I will make sure you rot in that cell”
Another cop replied.
Alex just smiled.
He knew Mr George was going to come back to get him soon.

“Gosh, I can’t believe have missed you this much”
Lauren said and hugged Ethan again.
“Mom, can you leave me now, my bones are going to break from too much hugging”
Ethan replied.
” Am sorry, I just missed you so much”

“Who else did you see except for Alex?
Ellie asked.
“I don’t know their faces, but I remembered their names.
Someone called Jack and Mr. George”
There are other two people behind him but I can’t recollect their names”
Ellie and Lauren sigh.
“My uncle is the penetrator”
Lauren said sadly.
Ellie consoled her.
*It’s okay… Ethan is safe now, we are going to keep him safe”
Ellie said.
“Someone came to get me. He took me to his house thereafter”
Ethan said again.
“I guess it’s the same man who sent you that text”
Ellie asked.

I guess he is trying to keep his identity”
Lauren replied.

Ellie and Lauren quickly move closer to him.
“Who is he? ”
“Am sorry I can’t tell you, I promise not to tell anyone who he is for an appreciation for saving me from Mr Georges”
Ethan replied and smiled.
Ellie looked at him for a while, she stood up and walked to the other couch where Ethan’s backpack lay.
She took it with the hope of finding something that may lead to finding the man whose identity is a secret but instead new kid’s underwear.
“Were you kidnapped or you were taken on a vacation trip?”
Ellie asked as she went through Ethan’s backpack. She brought out the underwear, some load of money, and three tickets.
“What’s that?
Lauren asked.
“A trip to Hawaii for a vacation”
Ellie replied.
Ethan just muttered a Wow. He didn’t know Mr Mr Marcel kept all this in his backpack.
Ellie took the bound loads of money.
“This is real, Lauren…
She said and found a little note in between the money. Lauren quickly grabbed it and read its content.

Lauren was confused.
“Who is this man who sent undies, a load of money, and tickets?
“I couldn’t figure out who right now”
There were three tickets right?”
Ellie asked.
Ethan just watched them. Lauren nodded.
“Which means he knew who we were”

Detective Lewis rushed into the Captain’s office.
“Sir, I heard Alex is being released, What happened? He hasn’t been granted bail yet”
“Well, Det lewis… He just got bail and he has been released”
Captain replied.
“Why?
Someone who abducted a kid, captain”
“Hasn’t the kid been found? The kid is alive and okay right?
So why else are we keeping him here?”
He asked.
Det Lewis sighs.
“Mr. George came for his bail, right?
“That’s not your business… The kid is fine and Alex is free, case closed”
You can leave my office now”
Det Lewis bit his lips and walked out angrily.
“I should have shot him during the operation, Alex can’t just go scoff free just like that”
He said to himself as he walked out.
“Why didn’t I think this through before? Alex is working for Mr Georges, I should have known he was going to come back and bail him out of this situation”

Lauren adjusted her dress as she prepared for work. Ethan finished up his breakfast on the dining table rushed to the living room and carried her backpack.
“I already spoke with the head principal of your school, I told him you are not ready to come back to school yet”
So, you are coming with me to the office”
Lauren said.
“Am going to spend the whole day at your office?”
Ethan asked.
“Yeah, you have no choice cos for now, you are going through a lot and I need you to relax well before returning to school”
“What am I going to be doing at the office?”
I want to see Katherine”
Ethan puts on a sad face.
“You are going to see her in the evening. She and her dad are coming over this evening okay?
For now, let’s head to the office”
She replied. Ellie came to the living room with her phone in her hand. It seems she just finished taking a call.
“Lauren?
She called.
“Ellie? Are you okay? Is there any problem? ”
Lauren asked.
“Yeah, Alex has been released from police custody this morning”
She replied.
“Like I knew it, Mr. Georges.
Lauren said and sighed.
“Mom, Dad didn’t mean to do it… He was forced to”
Ethan suddenly said. He heard their conservation.
“I don’t want to hear you call him dad anymore… He is not your father okay?
Lauren warned Ethan.
Ethan just nodded innocently.
“C’mon… To the car now, I will be there in a few minutes”
Lauren added. Ethan nodded and walked out of the house slowly.
Ellie looked at Lauren. Lauren just shrugged.

Lauren drove and stopped in front of Linde Plc. One of the security took the car keys from her.
Ethan and Ellie stepped down from the car before Lauren herself.
Ethan stares at the large skyscraper office building. Ellie noticed his long stare and then smiled.
“Come, let’s go inside”
Ellie said and held Ethan’s hands.
“Is that your kid?
The security man asked Lauren.
Lauren smiled and nodded.
“He is really cute”
He added.
“Thanks, am going back out in a few hours, take care of it”
She said pointing to the car and rushed to join Ellie and Ethan.
As they all step into the building. Everyone’s eyes were on them admiring the cute CEO’s son.
“Mom, everyone is staring at me… Is there something on my face?”
Ethan asked.
Lauren just smiled.
“No, my darling… You are being admired”
I guess you got the good looks from me or your father”
She replied.
Ethan was confused.
He doesn’t understand what she meant by that.

Mrs Elizabeth walked into Lauren’s office with a file. She smiled and dropped the file in front of her.
“We are done with the summary, the new start-up company has decided to pay back their loan by next month”
She said.
“Okay then…
Just know once they refuse to pay back, it’s your job as the head of the recovery department to bring back that money to the company”
Lauren reminded her.
“Yes, am aware of that”
Mrs Elizabeth said and walked towards the door. She stopped when she was about to open the door.
“Also, lest I forget, you have a great handsome kid.
Lauren smile.
“Thanks”
“This is the first time I’ve seen him since six years ago after seeing him at the hospital where you gave birth to him”
She added.
“Yeah, I was trying to keep him away from the spotlight then. I wanted his life to be a no-trouble key life then”
Lauren replied.
“And now?
“I guess it didn’t work… Some of my relatives want him dead for reasons I don’t know yet”
But am going to keep him safe in any way possible”
“You should do that, boss.
That kid has a bright future ahead of him.. he is our Hope”
Mrs Elizabeth said.
Lauren nodded.
“Yeah, I will do that”
Mrs Elizabeth smiled and finally walked out of her office. Lauren felt her breathing rate reducing. Her asthma is coming again.
She quickly drew out a drawer from her office table and brought out an inhaler.
She inhales the content quickly and breathes out relaxing her mind. She remembered how she got asthma for the first time.
“Then, Ethan saved me from dying”
She muttered remembering the first time Ethan Baker came to Linde Plc.
Lauren smiled as she tapped the pen she was holding gently on the table. Her mind went back to when she gave birth to Ethan. At the same time, Ethan Baker was sentenced to prison.
She wanted to cry again but couldn’t.
“I guess I have moved on, I have to forget him now”
She said.
Those sweet memories she had with Ethan Baker came back into her memories again, especially when they first met.
The time Ethan saved her life and requested a job at Linde Plc. She remembered the times when Ethan asked for her social handles but she had none.
She quickly brought out her phone from her bag and went straight to the Instagram account Ethan opened for her when he was alive.
She smiled and looked at the followers she had accvmulated within a short period.

She said loudly and burst into tears.

Little Ethan was having fun with Beth and Jessica.
“Aunty Jessica, please I just want to play some games that’s all”
He said as he dragged her phone with her.

Jessica asked seeing how Ethan was pulling the phone from her with all his strength.
Ethan laughed.
“I think you are going to be a stubborn kid”
Beth said.
“I am not, my mom told me I have a soft and gentle heart”
Ethan quickly defended himself.
“But you are causing trouble right now”
Beth replied and Jessica nodded. Ethan gave Jessica.
“Aunty Jessica, just a round of game on your phone”
Ethan pleaded again.
“Alright, five minutes… And you are handing my phone back to me”
Jessica replied.
“Thanks, Aunty Jessica”
Ethan smiled and rushed to sit down to play his phone game.
Stephan walked in and smiled.
“You two are still playing with the kid?
He asked and faced Beth.
“Ain’t you having any work to do at your department?
“Stay out of my business, Stephan…
Am on my break right now”
Beth replied giving him some looks.
“Alright, continue having fun with the kid”
Stephan said and walked to his office chair.
“Are you jealous the kid is more handsome than you?
Jessica asked.
“No wonder you have stayed single for the past ten years now”
Beth burst into laughter.
” C’mon… That’s too much, Jessica”
“Am sorry, we are just cracking jokes here”
Jessica replied.
“I understand…
And am not going to stay anything”
Stephan said and looked at little Ethan busy with the phone game. He stares at him for a while.
“Jessica”
He called.
“What it is?
Jessica asked.
“Don’t think Lauren’s son takes a resemblance with the dead Ethan Baker?”
Stephan noticed and he sounded serious.
Beth and Jessica burst into laughter.
