As they stood face to face,, Kingsley leaned in,,
his gaze never leaving hers,, and slammed his
lips on hers. The kiss started of smoothly,, and
as if fueled with lûst,, Kingsley fed on her lips
hungrily.

Raspberry’s brain stopped functioning the
moment Kingsley’s lips landed on hers. She was
both dumbfounded and at the same time,,
pissed,, cause he just stole her first kiss.

Is she dreaming? This must be some sort of
delusion right? No,, this shouldn’t be happening.

“Hey! Stop it” Raspberry yelled as she broke the
kiss. Without wasting any time,, she landed a
deafening slap across Kingsley’s face,, making
him see stars for about six seconds.

When Kingsley got himself back,, he stared
down her at her small figure. Her skin texture
had already flushed so red.

They say in life everyone has something they’re
obsessed with,, then guess he just found his.

He ran his thumb through her lower lips that
was already red and swollen.

Raspberry gradually looked up at him,, and they
locked gazes immediately. He could see with
the look she was throwing at him that she was
dumbfounded,, surprised and confused at the
same time.

“Raspb-”

Before he could finish speaking,, Raspberry
pushed him off and ran upstairs as if she was
being chased by a zombie.

“She looks cute while running. Everything about
her is cute. Why did i never notice this??”
Kingsley grinned as his eyes were on Raspberry
who was running,, until she was finally out of
sight.

⟨11PM••99MOONS⟩

The smokes coming from Emerald’s smoking
pipe formed a thick cloud in his office as he
smoked devilishly. He looks nothing like the
Emerald everyone knows.

His hair is very messy,, his once red lips is out of
color and his facial expression looks like that of
dracula. He might be mistaken to be the dévil
himself.

This is actually his first time smoking,, and he
loves it.

*Why didn’t hi try it all this while??* His
subconscious thought.

Emerald is totally n@ked on his swivel chair,,
surrounded by three slúts.

The slúts are all unclad too,, and they’re all
busy.

One is massaging his toes,, the second one is
massaging his shoulders and he’s busy
squeezing and fín?E?ing the @$$ of the third

Emerald blew another thick cloud of smoke out
of his mouth,, and a dark smirk followed.

His eyes suddenly beamed red as he stopped
his finger job and took the pipe out of his mouth
slowly.

“Suck it!!” His husky inhumane voice boomed,,
and the second lady left his shoulders and took

She began sucking it like it was some sort of

Beauty,, his PA walked in without knocking.

Emerald frowned.

“Give it…” He replied and collected the phone
from her.

“Son. When were you planning on telling us
about Aneesa’s de@th?? How long did you think
you were gonna be able to hide it from us??
Your father and i just saw it on the news”
Samara’s angry voice came over the phone.

Emerald stood up from the bed and wrapped his
duvet around himself. He left the office without
saying a single word.

“Ohh. Wow!!! I didn’t know you cared about her.
C’mon mom,, you were always against our
relationship. Are you happy now?? She’s gone…
gone forever!!!” Emerald spat back angr!ly. He
didn’t know when a tear slipped down his face.

He might not have been in love with Aneesa,,
but he cared about her a lot. She brought
happiness into his life,, and he almost fell or
her.. almost.

Now she’s gone. He’s so sád and furious. He’ll
never remain the same again.

He hanged up without needing her reply and
threw the phone against the wall.

“Füçk. Arghhh!!!!” Emerald screamed as he
pushed a flower vase,,, everything went crashing
down to the ground.

⟨MORNING••CAMBRIDGE COLLEGE⟩

All through the class,, Floyd kept looking at
Lyric’s face who kept a straight face as she
listened to the lecturer teach. He knew she
wasn’t okay,, but was only pretending to be.

The lecturer stopped writing and turned to face
them.

“Your tests will be coming up next week. And i
hope y’all were informed that it’s gonna be
computer based” She said and the students
began to grumble.

“Daaamn!!! I háte CBT”

“Che@ting wouldn’t be easy”

“I háte this school…”

“I knew i shouldn’t have worn the cloth my step
mother gifted me today. It’s cursed,, it gave me
bád luck”

The electronic bell rang,, signalling the end of
the class. The lecturer left while the students
began packing their stuffs.

Lyric kept her books in her backpack and
brought out her cellphone. She connected her
earpiece to it and inserted it into her ear,, then
placed her head on her desk.

Raspberry tapped her shoulders lightly and she
raised her head up.

“Hey,, are you okay?” Berry asked,, standing up.

Lyric just nodded without looking at her,, she
made to place her head back on the table but
Berry stopped her. She could clearly see she
was lying.

“About your mum-”

“I’m fine,, just forget about it. Such is life…” Lyric
bit her lip and clenched her fists,, trying to
control the tears that were threatening to spill
over her. But before she knew it,, she had
already broken down in tears.

“Lyric-” North, Floyd and Raspberry trailed,,
rushing to console her. They patted her back
and hugged her as she let out all the tears she’s
been tryna hold.

She has been fighting it. She promised her déad
mum that she wouldn’t cry until the day she’s
being buried,, but is she some robot who doesn’t
have any emotion?? Of course not.

“I’ll get lunch. Please stay with her” North
sighed,, and was about leaving when Dwayne
spoke up.

“The bags will be too much for you to carry on
your own. Lemme go with you” He said,,
standing up. North smiled and they both left the
class quietly.

“I… i… i saw her laying there,, she wasn’t
moving. My mom is déad,, i still can’t believe it.
It sorta feels like i’m hallucinating. I woke up
this morning,, hoping that it was just a
nightmare. But when the doctor called me,, it
made me so sád. Why did this have to happen
to me?? Why??” Lyric bawled into her hands,,
her shoulders shaking with grief.

⟨CAFETERIA⟩

The moment Dwayne and North stepped into
the cafeteria,, the students around began
murmuring to themselves,, especially the girls.
They were throwing mean faces and glares.

If looks could k!ll,, maybe North would probably
be 10 fts below.

North noticed this and decided to take a few
steps away from Dwayne. Among everything
she dislikes,, being the center of attention is one
of em’.

“5 burgers,, 4 cartons of pineapple juices and a
carton of orange juice,, please” North said to the
seller.

Dwayne raised his head up and smiled.

“How’d you know i’m allergic to pineapple
juice??” He suddenly asked. North scratched the
back of her head and looked down shyly,,
staring at her shoes.

“I.. i …”

“You both look cute together. Are you guys a
couple??” The seller asked,, surprising them.

They both exchanged glances,, not knowing
what to say.

“No. They’re not. He’s taken. Engaged… i meant
to say” A voice said behind them. They both
turned,, only to see Quincy walking in their
direction.

A stvpid smirk was dancing on her lips.

Dwayne’s smile fell immediately,, North’s was of
no difference. Quincy’s words rang in her head
all over again and she gasped in shock.

“En… En… gaged?? You’re en.. gaged??” North
exclaimed as she unconsciously moved
backwards,, almost tripping on a chair.

“North listen to me. I can explain. I-” Dwayne
couldn’t finish speaking cause North ran out of
the cafeteria in tears. He dug his hands into his
hair and groáned loudly.

Dwayne turned to Quincy who was still standing
beside him. She was smiling fool!shly.

“Why? Why are you so hell-bent on trying to ruin
my life?? I will never love you the way you want,,
so stop it with this obsession of yours. Read my
lips,, you will never be my type. Never… ever!”
Dwayne snapped.

“Dwayne!! This isn’t an obsession okay?? I love
you. I love you!!!” Quincy sparked up.

“No other girl can love you the way i do. They
might say it,, but they don’t mean it. I’m your
one and only true love. I repeat,, we’re destined
to be together..” Quincy said and cupped his
cheek in her hands,, then slammed her lips on
his,, kissing him hard.

Dwayne’s eyes widened and he immediately
pushed her away.

“Stop this cráziness Quincy!!!!” Dwayne said,,
using his hands to wipe his lips.

“I will only stop when you tell me you love me.
When you stop talking to that slút and marry
me” Quincy said.

Dwayne glared at her and began walking away.

“Dwayne if you leave right now,, i swear i’ll make
her regret coming to this school. I’ll make her
life feel like héll on earth” Quincy threatened.

Dwayne paused without turning to look at her.
He knew exactly who she was referring to,,
North. Dwayne clenched his fist tightly,, and
resumed walking away.

“Dwayne! Dwaaaaaaaayne!!!!!” Quincy screamed
insánely.

Meanwhile Hardin watched the scene from a
corner with a furious look on his face.

⟨ANDERSON’S RESIDENCE⟩

Ashton stepped aside after pressing the door
bell once,, soon the door opened revealing none
other than Kingsley.

“Finally,, you know the way here” He said and
Ashton smiled before entering,, Kingsley closed
the door.

Ashton took a seat on one of the sofas and
Kingsley took a seat beside him. He cleared his
throat and said.

“There’s something i want to talk to you about.
Please don’t say i’m crázy,, okay??!!!” Ashton
said with all seriousness,, and Kingsley nodded
his head.

“Ok.. I’m listening..” He replied.

“I think. I’m not very sure though,, but with all the
information i’ve gotten, i’ve managed to realize
that Raspberry might be my sister” Ashton
blurted out and immediately,, Kingsley bursted
into laughter.

He laughed so hard that he fell off the chair.
Still on the ground,, he was rolling around,,
laughing like a psyçho. Ashton just watched
him with a frown on his face.

He stood up and was about to leave when
Kingsley stopped him.

“Hey. Where do you think you’re going to?? You
aren’t done with the comedy,, i haven’t laughed
to my fill!!!” Kingsley chuckled and out of
nowhere,, a punch landed on his face.

Ashton punched him!

Kingsley licked his lips which was already
bleeding and glared at Ashton. He wanted to
retaliate,, but had second thoughts about it.

“Dude. Have you gone mád??” Kingsley yelled
angrily.

“I’m sorry okay. Assuming i didn’t do that,, you
would’nt have stopped laughing. I am very
serious about what i said. All the signs are
there. She lost her memory,, we have the same
birth mark. And according to mom,, she has it
on the same place as Ashley. Please,, believe
me…” Ashton rushed his words that he ended up
breathing heavily,, trying to catch his breath.

Kingsley sat back down and dug his hands into
his hair. He’s so confused,, surprised and lost of
words.

“If what you’re saying is true. The only way you
can prove it is through a DNA test. C’mon,, let’s
go get a strand of hair from her comb…”
Kingsley said and Ashton sighed as they both
ascended the stairs up to Berry’s bedroom.

FINALLY,, the truth is gonna be revealed..

⟨AT A BAR••EVENING⟩

“One more….. please…..one more bottle!!!” Lyric
stuttered,, as the bartender poured her another
cup of whiskey.

She looks totally wasted,, her hair is all messy,,
her breath reeks of alcohol,, she’s totally not in
her right state of mind.

She has never tasted alcohol before,, cause her
grandparents trained her perfectly,, but she just
couldn’t help it,, the pain was streaking through
her.

“Why?? Why did you have to leave me mom??
Why!!!”. Tears burned her eyes,, and her lower
lips trembled. She hugged her stomach and
sobbed,, unable to control her pain and sorrows.

Meanwhile,, on table twelve,, A certain guy is
venting his anger violently,, by drinking so
much. He lost a really important contract at
work today,, and staying back at home did him
no good,, so he decided to drink his anguish
away.

His gaze landed on a figure,, his vision was
blurry so he couldn’t see her face properly.

Maybe he was no longer in control of his legs,,
in a matter of seconds he found himself before
her. She looked really pale,, her eyes were bl**dy
red and lips out of color.

“Are you okay?? What seems to bother you
miss??,, is there anything i can do…..” Before he
could complete his statement,, Lyric claimed his
lips hungrily.

She wrapped her legs around his waist and her
arms around his neck,, kissing him
passionately.

The guy reciprocated,, they weren’t in their right
state of minds,, they didn’t even know the
calamity of what they had just done. Lyric broke
the kiss and stared into the eyes of the
humerous frame,, he was way beyond
perfection.

She blinked rapidly,, sniffing in his cologne that
reeked of dominant masculinity.

“Make overtures of love to me. Please don’t
think of anything else,, just do as i say” She
slammed her lips on his again,, and they went
on and on till they got to a private room at the
back.

He dropped her on the bed roughly,, and before
they knew it,, they were both unclad.

The guy hovered above her and took over the

Lyric held possessively unto him,, moving her
