CHAPTER SIXTY
All eyes were on Ruby as they waited for her to say something.
Thats not true!
My son is dead! she yelled hugging herself as tears poured out of her eyes.
Justin was shocked.
He didn’t know what to think.
Harry is insisting Williams is his son and Ruby is saying her son is dead?
What the hell is going on dad? Williams asked
Why are you trying to put us all in a twist?
The only thing twisted here is your brain, what makes you think you even deserve to be his son? I’m Fuçking tired of you taking my place! Kurt yelled
I took your place? I didn’t even know you until dad brought you three years ago to work for J.J, what is he saying dad!
Harry who has been enjoying the show cleared his throat.
He took a step towards Ruby who was glaring at him for making her remember the death of her first son which she tried so hard to forget.
On the 21st day of may, at Maragon hospital? Does that ring a bell? he asked with an evil smirk.
How did you know? Ruby asked in shock.
You lost so much blood during and after delivery, you were so tired that you passed out without touching your child, you only saw him when the nurse showed him to you and you named him Baron which is Justin’s middle name, remember? he asked but Ruby didn’t reply, she was shivering as tears kept pouring out of her eyes.
Mom? Alondria whispered running over to hug her.
Ignoring the emotional damage he was causing, Harry continued.
When you finally woke up, you were told you had a still birth.
They lied.
They all lied to you.
That child is your second enemy, Williams.
Thats not true!
You are a liar!
My child is gone, my child is gone!
Fred told me himself! she kept yelling.
Harry waited for her to finish then he burst into laughter.
Fred lied to you, he said standing up.
Thats not true!
Fred would never do that!
Don’t try to make him look bad! Ruby yelled
I thought you were smart, how can someone tell you you had a still birth when you clearly saw your child right before you passed out, you never saw his body, just a fake grave and you believed him? Harry asked releasing smokes from his lips.
The room was silent, Ruby didn’t say a word.
See? You aren’t that smart after all, Harry mocked but only Kurt chuckled.
Let me brief you on what happened that day.
FLASHBACK
Heavily pregnant Ruby was in her kitchen cooking when she heard an almost inaudible sound like the crack of a door.
Being a smart person and knowing how much danger her life has been the past few months,she slowly picked up a knife but didn’t turn around.
She pretended like she wasn’t aware of the stranger in her home as she began slicing her onions instead.
The moment the stranger got to her she turned swiftly pointing the knife at him, taking him totally unawares.
Harry had to stop on his track since the person he came to scare had him scared instead.
What do you want again Harry? Ruby question fiercely
A bait… hand Sarah and Justin over to me, in return I will make sure you and your son have a good life, he responded.
Get out Harry, Ruby said instead.
Tell me where they are Ruby, now that I’m still asking nicely.
Leave! Ruby replied pointing the knife at him.
Harry not willing to banter more words with her quickly made to grab the knife from her as they began struggling.
Pregnant Ruby not being a match for him couldn’t hold on for long as he snatched it from her cutting her palm, then landed several punches on her face without mercy.
Where is she! he barked at Ruby who was trying to get a hold of herself.
Go Füçk yourself! Ruby yelled.
Another punch landed on her, this time it was on her stomach making her fall helplessly to the ground.
Yet she refused to cry or speak.
He gave her few more punches then stopped when she began coughing and bleeding from her mouth and nostrils.
Füçking stupid! he growled walking out of the kitchen, with the intention to come back later.
On his way out he saw Fred right on the door, Fred gave him a suspicious look knowing who he is already, he quickly ran in to meet Ruby groaning in pain on the floor.
He quickly carried her out to his car, straight to the hospital.
Unknown to him, Harry followed him.
At the hospital they told him Ruby went into forced labor due to the beatings.
Few hours later, the doctor in charge announced the birth of a bouncing baby boy, congratulating him then told him Ruby passed out.
He wasn’t allowed to see her immediately, so he quickly went to Ruby’s home to get stuffs she will be needing when Harry walked in on him.
Threatening him with his mom and Ruby, Harry demanded the child handed to him.
Being a very soft and weak guy, Fred agreed.
To save Ruby and his mom especially, he allowed Harry walk out of the fourth walls of the hospital after threatening and bribing the doctor.
The nurse who showed the child to Ruby was taken along with him as the baby’s new nanny.
END OF FLASHBACK
When you finally woke up, you were told the same story by everyone, we fooled you, he said in mocking tone.
How dare you! Justin growled pouncing on him.
They both began hitting each other.
Harry was at the receiving end of the heavy punches from furious Justin.
Justin took out all of his anger on him, beating the hell out of him.
Kurt made to go help him but Asher punched him directly on the eye.
Williams could only stare, he was fooled, lied to, all his life.
You all just standing there? Füçk! Harry cursed hoping his men, Jesse and Ian would help but they were only staring.
Nobody tried to stop him till Justin felt the need to stop.
All through the years, Justin had decided to let his son do the job while he enjoyed his retirement but that didn’t mean Harrt was in any way a match for him.
Each punch came with deep anger and hatred.
Angry at Harry for making his first love suffer.
Angry at him for making his son go through all he went through trying to be a good son, trying to make him proud.
For making his son fight his own family blindly for many years.
At himself too, for not being there for any of them.
For being oblivious of his family’s sufferings.
My child? Williams? Ruby called tearfully but Williams refused to answer neither did he look at her.
He felt numb.
He stared at Harry who was still on the floor growling in pain while Justin stood above him clenching his fist.
Jared stared at Williams.
Not once did he imagine such a twist.
Not once did he imagine that Williams is his half brother and his wife’s half brother too.
Shoot her! You weakling! Harry ordered from the floor.
Shoot your mother,she was never there for you, while you had to grow up on your own she was busy Füçking with the same guy who gave you away,Harry said trying to get into William head.
He knows Williams,he isn’t one to think before acting.
Proving him right,Williams pulled out his gun, pointing it at Ruby.
Thats my son, Harry said with a wide grin helping himself up.
Williams please, don’t do it, Alondria begged.
Do it,Harry commanded
Please, you need to calm down and think this through, she is not the enemy here,Alondria begged again but he wasn’t listening.
Don’t listen to her,shoot that Bîtch! Kurt yelled.
No.. don’t do it… please… Williams… please, she is your mother, our mother… she… she… before Alondria could finish talking gunshots were heard.
Williams already pulled the trigger.
Noooo!! Alondria yelled.

There was blood on his white shirt, he was bleeding heavily while coughing out blood.
All eyes left Ruby when they noticed him
Kurt was shot instead.
He and Williams stared into each others eyes with so much hatred.
Justin couldn’t believe his eyes as he rushed over to his son.
Kurt?

Kurt?
D..ad? Kurt called painfully
What the hell did you do! Harry yelled.
He was at the verge of tears.
He looked pitiful, yeah but the only person who would pity him is a total stranger.
Your own son had to pay the prize of the pain you caused the weakling, Williams spoke for the first time.
You bastard!
Kurt?

Don’t shut your eyes, look its daddy, don’t shut your eyes on me, Harry cried
How does it feel?
Crying for the one you love to stay with you? Williams asked
How does it feel to be in pain, the heartache?
I was subjected to a life of slavery in the house of a man I presumed to be my father.
How could you?
You made me do things I never wanted.
I wanted to be a lawyer, I wanted to defend the just but what did you do?
You made me the murderer who had to be defended by lawyer who defend the unjust against the just.

You rubbed it on my face everyday how weak I am
I had to live everyday trying to come up with a plan on how to impress you, how to impress my dad!
I love my dad very much that I wanted him to be proud of, but guess what I found out today.
I was stolen.
I wasn’t even yours to begin with,Williams paused breaking down in tears totally.
You ruined my life! He yelled in tears
Never in his life has he cried publicly, it was a taboo to his supposed dad.
You know what else I found out?
Crying or feeling pain doesn’t make anyone a weakling,the weakling is that one person who keeps trying to fit in where he doesn’t belong, stealing other people’s lives just to see himself at the top.
You are the weakling Harry!
I hope your child is proud of you now and I hope you are proud of him, he said then turned and walked away before anyone could say a word.
Jared signalled Jesse and he ran after him immediately.
Just then Kurt who has been struggling to stay awake finally gave up as his head dropped.
Nooo!!!! Justin screamed on top of his voice.
Wake up!

He stared at his son with red eyes then he pulled out his gun from his back, standing on his feet he pointed the gun towards Sarah.
This is all your fault, you have to die, he said, his voice changing totally.
Ha..
Shut up!
The siren sound indicating the police was around disrupted them.
You dare call the police? he asked no one in particular.
Harry please you should….
Another gunshot was heard as he pulled the trigger and Jared came crashing on the ground.
He took the bullet for his mom.
Jay!!!! Alondria screamed rushing over.
Oh no! Ruby exclaimed trying to stand up but she still tied to the chair.
Asher quickly untied her before rushing to carry Jared.
Harry made to flee but he was shot by the police on his leg and shoulder, then they arrested him while Jared was quickly taken to the hospital.
Kurt’s body was taken away too.
