It was Candy’s turn to be shocked. It took a while Before she could digest what she just heard. Is this man staring at her really Diego?
In the next moment, she burst into laughter, to the extend tears creeped out from her eyes.
Seeing her laugh, Xavier thought Diego was joking. Diego only waited for her to finish.
After laughing to her content, Candy held Diego’s hand and gave him a lovely face that loosen his face.
“Hubby” She called and could swore she saw a small smile on his face for the shortest moment.
Hearing this, Xavier’s last thread of hope broke. The way Candy stared at him explained it all. She even seems happy beside this cold man.
Diego on the other hand didn’t know how to react. He was also shocked by what he had said earlier but hearing her saying that word woke something up in him.
What is she doing to him?
Candy turn her gaze to Xavier. “We are married and we kept it as a secret for some reasons, so don’t go around spilling it out. I hope you’ll find a good woman Xavier” She rejected his proposal politely.
Xavier finally smiled, her words actually made him feel a bit better. That was why he cherish this woman. He had lost his chance since he was very young back when they dated. He broke up with her when he had to travel out for his studies.
If not for this, he wouldn’t have let her go. He looked up Diego who face was expressionless.
“I’m sorry for the misunderstanding President. I had no idea she was really wife” He said awkwardly.
“Just go” Diego muttered coldly and Candy hit him gently on his waist using her elbow. Diego gave her glare but she didn’t mind it.
“Take care of her, please” Xavier said seriously to Diego. “She’s a good woman”
Candy smiled at his word.
“I’ll leave now” He bow his head and turn to leave. His smile drop as he step.. knowing fully well he have no chance.
Candy sighed but then the man suddenly drag her to the car gently.
“Sir” She called gently but he shut the car door. “Ah geez, he’s back to his cold self” she muttered as she watch him walk around the car and entered.
Without a word, he zoom off.
“Where are we going?” Candy asked when they head another direction.
“Cinema” He answered without looking at her.
“Really?” Her eyes widened. ‘Did he hurt his head or something?’ her thought followed.
“Isn’t that what you wanted?” He asked.
“Yeah, thanks” She bit her lips with a smile.

“Alexa is sure pretending. You should’nt believe anything she said. I feel like going to the hospital and torture her until she bring out the Fuçking truth” Yazmine said to Jameson as the eating lunch together.
“Easy with your anger big sis, people might hear you” Jameson said with his eyes focused on his food.
“I’m sure her sickness is fake, she is definitely hiding something”
“We know, we are going to find out the truth soon” He answered.
“When is Candy returning? I’ve kinda miss her” Yazmine pouted and Jameson stopped for a moment.
“Soon” He continue eating his lunch. Yazmine noticed his long face.
“Are you okay?” She asked and he stop eating and looked up at her.
“I’m fine, why did you ask?” He asked.
“You pulled a long face when I mentioned Candy” She said and Jameson blinked severally.
“I’m just worried about her that’s all” He said and continue eating. “She has a lot coming to her” he added.
Yazmine exhaled sharply. The night Candy almost drown and when Jameson hugged her. He was trembled and his heart was beating fast. Candy’s incident had scared him so much but he tried to hide it that night.
Jameson looked up to her again.
“Aren’t you going to eat?”
“I am” She said, picking up her spoon. In the next moment, she dropped her spoon again.
“Why aren’t you going to tell me what’s between Candy and President. Could she..” she lean closer and whispered. “The wife he got married to? I can’t help but that is the only thing that make sense. The scene that night is driving me crazy”
Jameson sighed in frustration, he whispered back
“Can I eat in peace?” He asked.
“Fine, enjoy your meal” She said, and sat up, eating her meal this time.
Aiden eyes caught the sight of a cup filled with cold coffee. He had bought it this morning and she didn’t drink them? This have been happening since after the party.
“Aiden” Yazmine called behind him. He turn and his eyes met with her expressionless face.
She stepped close to him, her eyes moving to the coffee.
“You shouldn’t buy them again” She said.
“Huh?” He asked.
“I don’t know why you started in the first place but Employees in the company would misunderstand us if you keep doing this. I don’t want to have rumors about me, that I’m dating an employee under me.. who is six years younger” She said.
Each words hit Aiden, but he thought she was right. But then, he is not going to give up. He just need to go slow this time.
“Am I clear?” Yazmine asked.
“Yes ma’am, I’m sorry for the inconveniences” He apologized politely with a bow and a smile before leaving.
Yazmine folded her arms, as she watch Aiden returning to his seat.
She pulled out her phone when it vibrated. Seeing the number, she picked it up and placed it gently on her phone.
“Hello” She answered.
“Ma’am, this is the doctor from the hospital miss Alexa was admitted. We couldn’t find her anywhere, did you perhaps see her?”
Yazmine eyes widened. Alexa ran away from the hospital?!! She had went to give the doctor her number yesterday after when Jameson told her Alexa was with Candy before the incident. She knew something like this will happen.
“Hello?” The doctor’s voice sounded.
“No she is isn’t with me, thanks for the update” Yazmine replied and ended the call.
She went to meet Jameson in his office.
“She ran away from the hospital” She entering the office.
“Yeah, yeah.. we know” Jameson said, staring at his system.
“You knew something like this would happen and didn’t do anything to her. She should be in Fuçking station” Yazmine said.
“We need to know who really sent her and also evidences. Though we have someone in mind” He said.
“Who?”
Jameson looked up to her. “Hannah”

Meanwhile Candy had her eyes wide open as she watch the movie before her. It was a romantic movie, Diego had randomly choose. He actually thought it was a dark romance, having blood all over but it turn out to be just romantic.
And this little woman beside him was enjoying it.
“Awwn” Candy smiled when the man saved the girl from falling in the rain. The water wetting both of them.
“The hell?” Diego muttered wishing the movie would just Fuçking end. It’s being two whole d@mn hours and it’s still going on.
The man in the movie stared at her deeply, moving his face close he kissed her.
Candy palmed both hands on her cheek, her face brighting up.
“He kissed her” She squealed. Diego scoffed remembering her word.
‘Kiss in the rain’
“How the hell are you enjoying this?” He asked her but the lady kept her eyes on the television.
“Just keep watching, I don’t wanna miss this, kissing in the rain is my favorite scene….” She couldn’t finish her word when the man held her chin to face her.
“What?” She asked.
“I’m bored” He complained, tilting his head one side. Candy found it cute and smiled.
“Should I feed you popcorn then?” She asked.
“How is that going to..”
“Here” She stretch her hand having popcorn in it. Diego glanced down at the popcorn and then back to her face.
“I don’t eat these” He said.
“What? Who doesn’t like popcorns. Take them, my hand is Killin me”
“Then drop it”
Candy drop her hand and sighed. “You’re one stubborn husband you know?”
Diego wanted to speak but his phone buzz in his pocket. He reached out for it while Candy return her gaze back to the movie.
Diego’s eyes flickered with something dangerous seeing the message. He returned his phone and held Candy.
“Let’s get out of here” He said pulling her up.
“Huh? But the movie…” She pouted but the man didn’t hear and took her out of the place. They entered the car and then zoom off.
“Did something happen? Are we been chase by some bad guys?” She asked.
“No, we are the one chasing them”
“What?!”
“I chase my enemies before they get the chance to chase me. I got a bit distracted, that was why you ended up in the pool. That is never going to happen again” He said and Candy blinked severally.
He taking the revenge for her? So the pool incident was planned and Alexa was part of it. She was right when she saw the smirk on Alexa’s face before falling into the water.
Why? Why does she want her dead?
After twenty minutes drive? Diego stopped the car before a building. He pulled out the glove box and took out a gun. Candy’s eyes widened..
He is here to kill?
“The person who sent Alexa to drown you was my step mother, Hannah. I got to find her men location to destroy them” He said and her eyes widened the more.
“Y.. you’re here.. to kill?” She asked, but got no reply in return. “B..but.. why did you bring me here then?” She asked.
“To watch…” he leaned close and continue. “You should get use to things like this little woman. Cus you’ll get to see a lot of them” He smirked.

In the building, a group of men sat around a table as they discuss a mission.
“How are we going to find this Candy of a girl. She always lucky especially around him” One of them said.
“Yeah, he is the main problem. We’ll need to cause a distraction so Diego won’t be there” The one who seems to be the leader spoke.
“Killing her won’t be easy, but how are we going to distract him. He always seems to be everywhere” Another spoke.
“Tssk.. he might even be behind us hearing out plans” Another said and chuckled.
“Is this time for you to joke” the one beside him scolded.
“Hmm, he is such a genius” A deep hoarse voice rented the not so dark room. They all lift their gaze and saw a dark figure standing from a distance with both hands tucked into his pocket.
“Who the hell is that?” one of them asked.
The leader of the gang recognized him after staring for a while.
“I heard my name..” The figure stepped closer revealing his face from the small light creeping in. Diego. “I should probably join your discussion”
“D…Di.. Di..” One of them stuttered with wide eyes but the leader’s face stayed firm.
“Who did you wanna kill?” Diego asked, raising his head up a little.
“Haha Mr. President.. you may have heard us…”
“Candy” The leader completed the word from behind. He stood up, having a straight look. “We want to kill Candy”
“Hump” Diego smirked. Candy slowly creep out behind him revealing her face. She bit her lips hard staring at the men wanting to kill her. This is crazy! But she is going to trust the devil beside her.
“She’s here” Diego titled his head slightly to Candy’s direction.
The men swallowed staring at Candy. What is Diego doing? Is he playing with them? Even the leader was surprised. Diego definitely have something up his sleeve.
The underworld made it clear that this man is really Cunny.
“That is great.. thanks for making our work easy” The leader immediately raised his gun up to Candy.
“Raise your goddamn guns guys” He ordered his men and they did the same. Candy eyes widened and she quickly hide behind Diego.
“Oh gawd” She whispered.
“Mr. President, get out of the way. Let us our job” The leader smirked. There are 20 men in the room. Diego has only one gun, there’s no way he can beat them while protecting Candy.
“Woo.. I’m scared” Diego lips curled up into a devilish smirk.
“You should be, move or we’ll have no choice but to clear you out too” The leader warned with a cold look.
“I’m not talking about you guys…” His smile dropped. “I’m talking about the red dots on you”
Red dots??
The men got confused but then, one of them spot a red dot on his shirt.
“We’re surrounded!!”
He exclaimed but the room was then filled with intense gunshots hitting the men at once, destroying their body gruesomely. Their blood spilling all over as their body shook with the several gunshots hitting them in different parts.
Candy held Diego’s shirt and she shut her eyes.
The gunshots stopped after a while and was only filled with the panting of the last man. The leader, he wasn’t shot but he wish he was.. his men are all down.
The main light was turned on and the room was brighter than before. The leader looked up and saw several men in black having their guns with them.
They are Diego’s men…
This devil bought his gangs down without lifting his finger. The hell?!!
His knee weaken and he sat back on the chair behind him with scared look. His chest heaving hard and face was wet with sweat.
Candy covered her lips at the bloody sight. Sh|t!
Diego began stepping towards him. The sound of his black well polished shoe colliding with the bloody floor echoes through the room. He placed his right leg on the chair and rest his left elbow on his knee, leaning his face closer. His face shows he love the way the man was shivering.
“Interesting huh? You were standing with a hard face and I changed that within few seconds”
The leader began to wonder why he was still alive. As if reading his thoughts, Diego spoke again.
“You just be wondering why you’re still alive”
He nodded fast, he didn’t know when tears creep out of his eyes and his pant getting wet because of his pee, out of fear.
Candy was busy taking a deep breath, calming herself down. She had never seen so much blood so it is bound to affect her.
“Go back to your boss and deliver this-” Diego started. His face incredibly cold.
“Tell her death will come if she dares mess with my woman again”
