Silence hung in the car as Phoenix thought on how Diego had saved her. This man literally killed all of them without bating an eyes… He then, set the club on fire.. Gawd! He is really a devil.
“Why did you save me?” She asked lightly.
“It comes with price” Diego stated. “From now you work for me. I’m gathering my own army in the underworld. You’ll train and work undercover”
“Hm, I accept” Phoenix accept without thinking much. Diego own her life now, she had no objections to it.

“I swear to Gawd Phoenix I was drunk, I didn’t even know what I was doing!” Griffin yelled as he tried to stop Phoenix who didn’t respond.
“Phoenix” Griffin held her, his eyes tearing up a little.
“Do you know who saved me back there?” She asked and Griffin frowned. “It was Diego. I belong to him now, and it was my choice to accept”
Griffin held her face close, “You can’t leave me please. Don’t this. I love you. I can’t lose you too”
Phoenix shook her head and walked out on him, heading towards the car waiting to take her for her new journey.
Griffin went insane. He stole everything, his dream, his position and now her?
“I’m Killing him” He muttered, dangerous intention burning in his gaze.
Diego stepped into a not so dark room, with both of his hands tucked into his pocket. His eyes scan the room having a strange aura hanging in air.
“You’re here” Griffin said in the dark. Diego slowly turn to him.
“Why did you call?” He asked.
Griffin sighed and stepped closer, his gaze locking with his.
“I’m here to apologize of being an @$$hOle” He said.
“I’m not falling for your truck” Diego said.
“Is that so?” Griffin raised a brow and made to punch him. Diego held his hand but then his eyes caught the spray in his hand.
Griffin immediately spray the content and Diego mistakenly inhale some. His vision blur as he tried to gain balance.
In the next moment, Griffin shove a knife into his stomach. Diego cried out.
“You stole everything!” He roared removing the knife and stabbing him again.
Diego managed to push him away and tried to reach the door. He staggered and fell on his kneel, blood dripping out of him.
“There’s no escape brother. Just stay still and let me kill you!” He yelled but then a figure appeared. The butler.
He pushed Griffin’s back and glared at him. “What do you think you are doing?!”
The butler crouched before Diego.
“Young master, can you walk? Let me take you to the…”
The butler’s words were cut short when Griffin dive the knife into his neck. Diego’s eyes wide widened in terror.
“No!”
Griffin took a deep breath and face Diego again.
“In your next life, Do not mess with me” He stated reason the knife to stab him.
“Freeze!!!!” Policemen barged into the room. Diego had actually called them on his way here knowing Griffin might be up to something.
“It’s a murder case” One of the police stated. Griffin didn’t refute instead he was crying.
“I’ll kill you Diego!!” He roared as they finish handcuffing him. “I’ll Fuçking kill you!”
Griffin was sent to jail and Diego swore never to let him out. After burying the butler, Diego sat in the church staring at the alter before him.
Romeo adjusted his suit and went to sit beside him. “You called” he said.
“Hm.. how about you disappear and never come back?” Diego asked shifting his gaze to Romeo.
“Will that ease the pain that I had caused?”
“Very well. You’ve created the monster you wanted Romeo. It’s time for you to face it. Promise you’ll go and never come back” Diego said and Romeo sighed after thinking for a while.
“Fine, I promise”
However in jail, Griffin’s thought was occupied with Diego. Days and night he imagine how he is going to kill him.

Griffin’s eyes flew wide open as he breath erratically. He groaned from the pain coming from his stomach.
“Fuçk” He cursed under his breath.
“Hey Griffin” Phoenix voice sounded. She was tied, hands apart and her leg chained down. She could only move her head due to the Poison Griffin had put into her.
She’ll be paralyzed for days..
They were in an unknown place.. an under ground.
“Nightmares?” She asked, her voice soft.
“Mind your business” Griffin grumbled.
“You came back here last night looking all bloody. What did you do out there?”
“I said mind your business Diego’s Bîtch number one” He snapped.
“Jealous” Phoenix muttered. “I wonder where you got your help from. There’s no way you’ll have this place, treat yourself and have peace of mind without any help” Phoenix said.
“Hm” Griffin grunt.
Two figure appeared, stepping into the room. Phoenix had guessed right..
Vincient and Venessa.
“Cool. I knew you never change. So you find a way to convince your brother to release Griffin then use Venessa father’s connection to get here. Tsskk… You guys really think you can beat Diego?”
Vincient scoffed and stepped forward. “You might be right. We can’t defeat Diego especially in his territory. A devil? Ha! Devil’s don’t have soft spot but he does. He might be deadly, dangerous but one thing that made him weak is.. Candy”
Phoenix frowned. “What do you mean?”
“It is said love only distract and lower the way you think. Candy is a mistake to Diego’s life. That is why things are just going our way” Vincent stopped when he was close enough.
“Just stop this bullSh|t. Aren’t you tired of the constant war?” Phoenix faced Griffin. “Aren’t you tired of that hatred in you?”
“Diego crossed his boundary, he should pay for it along with Candy” Venessa spoke this time. “He killed my father in a gruesome way”
Phoenix scoffed. “Stupid, you all are blinded by revenge!”
“You talk too much” Vincent spoke and injected Phoenix neck making her pass out.

Jameson took a deep breath standing before a door. He knocked on it twice and waited.
His face dropped when the person who open the door turned out to be a guy. He was even shirtless.
“What?” Jameson mumbled.
Carl’s immediately smiled recognizing Jameson. “You’re Mr. Grumpy right?” Carla asked.
Jameson looked back wondering if Carl was referring to someone else and when he saw it was him, he frowned harder.
“Who are you? And what are you doing in Jackie’s dorm?” Jameson asked coldly.. if look can kill.
“Ha, I’m Jackie’s friend. I’ve heard a lot about y…”
“Where’s Jackie?” Jameson cut him off and Carl wondered what he had done to anger him.
“She’s in..”
Jameson pushed him one side storming in. Jackie who was sleeping woke up at the noise. A frown settled in her face when she saw Jameson.
“What are you doing here?” She asked in a hoarse voice. Jameson gave Carl a look and the guy immediately understand.
“I’ll leave” Carl said and left the room. Jameson faced Jackie again.
“What do you mean by that? You aren’t picking up my calls nor replying to my text. Why?!” He snapped. Jackie blinked severally.
“My phone is faulty, I couldn’t reply or call” She answered.
“Then why haven’t you gotten another one”
“Cus I don’t want to. My exam is fast approaching and I don’t want distraction. I’ve missed many classes already”
Jameson eyes flashed with guilt. That was because of him.
“Why are you here though? You’re the one who kept sending me away” She pouted.
“I needed to talk to you” Jameson said.
Jackie stood up from her bed an stepped towards him, folding her arms.
“I’m listening” She said.
“A dangerous enemy of Diego is on a loose. He might attack soon so just to avoid what happened to us the other day. You can’t stay here, you need protection”
“Okay, I’ll just stay with Miss Yazmine” Jackie said.
“Yazmine can’t take any guest for now. She needs privacy…”
“I’ll stay with Candy, she has a lot of room. I’m sure Mr. President wouldn’t mind” She said.
‘Is she doing this on purpose?’ Jameson thought.
“My place..”
“Is the last place I’ll go” Jackie completed his word.
“I know I’ve wronged you but I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have acted like an ingrate. I h@të myself for that. And…” Jameson took a deep breath. “I found out that you like me…”
Jackie’s expression remain blank as he spoke.
“And thinking of it make me h@të myself even more. Jackie I.. uhm.. don’t know what to think. I really don’t want to hurt..”
“Should I help you think?” Jackie asked.
“How?” He asked, confused.
Jackie held his collar crashing her lips on his. She stayed like for a while, Jameson froze in shock until sh slowly pulled away staring at him.
“How about now?” She asked lightly. Jameson stayed silent staring deep at her.
When the man didn’t respond, disappointment washed over Jackie’s face. He doesn’t feel the same way? If so, then she should just give up here.
Just as she made to step back, Jameson immediately held her waist and pulled her to himself. Their chest colliding.
“Mr.. James?” Jackie called lightly, Jameson stares was serious and unreadable.
“Well then, you’ve helped me think” He whispered, slamming his lips to hers. He held her face, his lips moving demandingly.
“Uhm” Jackie Mõ@ned, going crazy from his kiss and touch. He lift her up and placed her gently on the bed still ravishing her lips.
His heart was beating fast and he felt alive the moment their lips had touch. He recalled how he almost went insane when Jackie got hurt. Even before he passed out her name was the only thing ringing in his head.
Maybe Yazmine was right about him being dumbass.. for not realizing his true feelings.
Breaking the kiss, they both chuckled at the same time.
“So you’re mine now?” She asked, her beautiful eyes locking gaze with his.
“I’m yours sweetie” He whispered kissing her again. He broke the kiss again. “You’re coming to my place”
“That will be a big distraction” Jackie whispered.
“I understand, I’ll watch over you okay?” He said and Jackie nodded. They kissed again.

“So that was it?” Candy eyes were teared up hearing every single bit of Diego’s story.
“Hm” Diego whispered. “He’s blinded for revenge in a wrong way. Maybe I shouldn’t have…”
“Hey” Candy stopped him from saying what he wanted to say. “Don’t blame yourself, you did nothing wrong Di. He was the one who never trusted you and broke the bond you once had. You did what you had to do.. God knows what kind of monster he’ll be if he had the power you own now”
Diego smiled at him wife words. She is just the best, really good and making him feel better.
“I love you wife” He whispered kissing her forehead lightly.
“I love you too, hubby” She smiled.

“It’s been almost two weeks and there is still no sign of him?” Yazmine sighed in frustration. “Griffin sure knows how to hide”
Jameson made his lips thin line, he just found out Aiden’s identity.
“You didn’t tell me your boyfriend was once a secret agent” Jameson said and Yazmine froze.
“Sigh… You went to dig out his information” Yazmine said. Jameson suddenly smiled widely.
“That’s awesome” He grin and Yazmine frowned.
“Don’t tell me you’re planning to ask Aiden to help you fight Griffin”
“He is a secret agent..”
“He quit a year ago so he was a secret agent”
Jameson made to speak but his phone rang. He picked it up immediately after seeing the name.
“We’ve found him” The voice stated.

“Moscow?” Diego frowned hearing the update from Jameson.
“Yeah” Jameson nodded.
“It better not be what I’m thinking” Einstein spoke.
“He’s creating his own army. Venessa must be the one using her father’s resources to help him since she is also missing” Diego said.
“What about Vincient? I don’t trust anything about him. There was a strange movement from him after Griffin escaped the military” Jameson said.
“Hm” Diego thought for a while. “We’ll be heading to Moscow. There’s no time to waste”
“Can I join?” A voice sounded behind as Aiden stepped in.
“You’ve talked to my sister?” Jamesom asked.
“Yeah, It wasn’t easy though. I’ll be very happy to help” Aiden said and Jameson nodded.
“What about Candy?” Einstein asked and Diego face dropped a little.
“I’ll talk to her”

“No, Di no” Candy shook her head when her husband told her everything.
“It’s okay wife, I’ll be back before you know it” He held her face gently.
“What if it’s a trap? Griffin must have left this country because you rule here.. but there, you don’t know what is happening. Griffin is surely waiting for you…”
“We can’t just let him be, it’s almost two weeks he is on the lose. He is so good at hiding and scheming things. The more we let him be, the more dangerous he becomes. I know him Candy” He spoke lightly.
Candy couldn’t shake the nervousness rising in her.
“I don’t feel good about this Di, please don’t go” She whispered so low, her eyes teary up a little and she held his hand on her face. “Please”
“I don’t have a choice. I want to make the world safe for you, my love” He whispered.
“Then let me come with you. I’m skilled remember?”
“You should stay and watch over those remaining. Yazmine and your sister.. trust me on this” He said. He rested his forehead on hers.
Candy closed her eyes and slowly captured his lips. She dive her warm tongue into his month demanding for his response.
Diego made her lay on the king sized bed, his height overcoming hers. In the next minute, he was slamming himself into her wet core, listening to her sweet Mõ@n.
Their naked body intertwined as they both felt their warmth for an unmeasurable amount of time.
Diego looked down at his sleeping wife. She was hugging him so tight during her sleep.
He doesn’t wish to leave too.. especially when Candy needed his support.
He’ll finish with Griffin as soon as possible and when he does.. He’ll give her all the love she wants..
He kissed her hair and tucked it behind her ear.
“I’ll be back no matter what, I promise..” He whispered with sincerity.
By the time Candy woke up, Diego was gone. She felt the emptiness drowning her heart. Sitting by the dinning table, she felt light headed.
“I must be stressing myself out too much these days” Candy muttered pressing her finger against her head.
The head maid, a middle aged woman placed the breakfast before Candy. Seeing the worried look on Candy’s face the woman smiled.
“Don’t worry about Master ma’am. Worrying too much might harm your state” The woman said.
“State? What do you mean?” Candy asked with a frown. The woman smiled wider.
“You’re pregnant, ma’am”
Candy froze….
