Few weeks has passed since Mason announced the sales party coming up next month, though it wasn’t up to a month but one more week would equal a full moon youth.
The fashion students were doing some hard work by working on dresses for models. Each of them were given their personal models that would wear their clothes.
Currently, Skyler was in an empty tailor room, working on her current dress. From her face alone, it looked like she wasn’t feeling well.
“Hey Skyler, can you lend me some scissors?” Jasper walked in and met Skyler coughing.
“Hey are you already?” He rushed to her and held her back, looking worried.
“I’m fine, it’s just the sales party stuff is stressing me out, what do you want?” She asked him.
“I wanted scissors but I saw you didn’t look too good, if the sales party stuff is really stressing you out like this then you should take a little break for yourself, your health is more important” he said softly.
Skyler didn’t want to take any break because she didn’t want to disappoint Mason. She wanted her dress to stand out so Mason would be really proud of her.
“I’m fine, here you go” she passed him the scissors.
“But Skyler..” Jasper didn’t collect the scissors because he was worried.
“Can you just take it, I told you I’m fine!!” Skyler snapped at him.
Jasper stared at her and scoffed.
“I was only worried about you so you don’t have to take your frustration out on me and where is your husband by the way? Can’t he see that you are unwell?” He rolled his eyes and took the scissors before leaving the tailor room for her.
“He can’t see that, I don’t want to let him down for the sales party and I don’t wanna disappoint myself” she muttered to herself.

Felix could be seen standing in front of D•S and looking around. This past week, he had bumbard Skyler’s Instagram with likes and comments,he even messaged her sometimes and she went into a full snub mood with him.
“Baby, you came” his thought was Interrupted when an arm wrapped his neck and a lips landed on his.
It was Lilian, his new girlfriend now.
“I’m done with work, let’s go” she hugged his arms.
“Oh.. and I wanted to go in and look for you,” he said with a nervous laugh.
Lilian also joined in the laughter before pushing him forward.
“Let’s go!” She said with a smile.
Felix let out a smile too and began leaving with her but it turned back to D•S to take a look. Skyler was there and she was the only one that can help him but since he’s dating Lilian, she can also give him some tips on what they have been doing so he can get ahead of them.

DELGADOS’ MANSION★
“Hi, any news about her?” Jacob asked on the phone while sitting on the bed.
“She’s doing fine but she’s still asleep” the doctor in the hospital that was in charge of the girl that got hit, replied from the other end.
“Why is she sleeping for so long?” Jacob groaned, feeling frustrated.
He hit her by mistake, took her to the hospital and paid her for her treatment but she won’t wake up so he can compensate her so there wouldn’t be issues but she won’t wake up.
A knock sounded on his door and he immediately cut the call.
“Yes, come in” he said and the door opened revealing Rosa.
He should have asked who it was before telling the person to come in.
Rosa looked a bit nervous to talk to him so she stared by looking around the room.
“How, you’re really one tidy man” she said with a nervous smile but Jacob didn’t say anything.
She sighed and moved closer to him.
“Jacob, my son..
“So I’m your son now? It’s funny because when did you start acknowledging me as your son?” He cut her off and narrowed his eyes as he asked this question.
“I’ve always acknowledged you as my son Jacob!” She replied.
“Oh,I didn’t know that,” Jacob scoffed.
“I get it, you have every right to be mad at me because I’ve treated you so badly, I’ve been the worse mother and never considered your feelings in the selfish things I do because I only wanted to make you tough, I wanted to push you up and I wanted you to be as active as your cousin, I didn’t realize I was being too hard till you stayed away for more than two days and it kills me to think that you were actually fed up of me and went to do the exact thing your father did” she burst out in tears.
Jacob was really surprised to see his mom like this. Does she really care about him or was she putting on an act?
“Why are you suddenly trying to be good?” He then asked.
“Because I talked to Skyler and she made me realize my mistake. If I had supported you like every other mother would especially after your father’s death then maybe by now, you would own your own hospital. No one can encourage you more than me, I believe you can go out there, push your fears aside and finally be what you want to be and trust me, I’ll be in the front row, cheering for you, I promise” she said and wiped her tears.
Jacob didn’t really know what to say. What his mother did was something he had never imagined her to do in the next hundred years to come, how did Skyler manage to talk to her?
“Thank you Mom” he muttered and Rosa smiled.
“Thank you too for forgiving me, I’d leave you now, love you” she smiled and Joshua found it hard to say it back to her because they have never exchanged words in almost twenty years of his life.
He just cleared his throat and nodded, Rosa understood him so she didn’t take it as an offense when she left.
Jacob smiled and took his phone, he searched for Skyler’s name and began sending her a text message to thank her.
‘Mom came to talk to me today and she said you gave her some advice. I’m really grateful sister in-law, thank you’

EVENING★
When Skyler got back, she was feeling so sick that she couldn’t talk to anyone so she went straight to the room to lay on the bed and wrapped herself with a big blanket.
Mason came back some hours later, looking tired too but what bothered him the most was Skyler not replying to his text or picking his calls.
He was surprised to see her laying on the bed and wrapping herself in the blanket from head to toe.
“Beautiful?” He creased his brows and went to sit on the bed, after touching her forehead, he immediately withdrew his hands.
“That burnt, why is she burning up?” He muttered and tapped her gently.
She slowly opened her eyes to stare at him,she didn’t even have the strength to talk to him.
“Beautiful, are you sick?” He asked worriedly but she shook her head.
“No you’re really sick, you’re burning up!” He didn’t believe her.
“I’m fine, just tired” she muttered.
“Is it because of the sales party? Is it giving you too much stress?” He placed his hands on her forehead again when he asked.
“It’s not it” Skyler immediately denied.
She knew how Mason was, he might stop her from joining the competition because of her health but she didn’t want that.
“Beautiful…”
“I’m serious Mason it’s not it, I will be fine tomorrow, I promise” she gave him a pleading look.
“What have you eaten since morning?” He asked and she shook her head.
“Nothing?” He widened his eyes.
“I didn’t have the appetite and I don’t want to go out, I don’t want grandpa to know I’m sick” she muttered.
“Fine, I’ll go downstairs and get you some soup, hold on” he leaned closer to her and kissed her forehead before leaving the room.

“Why is Mason, Sky and Edna not coming down for dinner?” Grandpa Mario asked while the families were having dinner together.
Dylan and Antonio were present but as usual they were always in their ghost mood once it comes to family affairs except it’s about business.
“Grandpa, Mason and Skyler are married and are deeply in love with each other, they should be our least concern” as Hudson finishes making that statement, Mason came down, giving him a kind of look.
“Mason, why didn’t you come down with Sky?” The old man asked with his eyes narrowed.
“Today’s really hectic for her so she’s tired and can’t get out of bed. I came here to bring some soup to her” he replied.
“Ha! See what I was telling you Grandpa, they definitely did something that’s why Skyler can’t stand up from her bed, I think we should be expecting our newest Delga-“
Hudson couldn’t complete what he was saying because Ivy took a drumstick turkey and shoved on his mouth.
“You can take this soup, it’s Skyler’s favorite,” she pointed to the second pot of soup.
“Let me help her dish it” Maya immediately took a plate and dished some soup in. “I also added some catfish because the soup goes well with fish” Maya forced a smile.
“And Skyler love cat fish very much too” Ivy butt in with a cute smile.
Mason just carried it.
“And when she’s better, please work on giving us a new Delgado so I wouldn’t be the youngest that everyone gets to pick on” Carson said and when Mason gave him a type of look, he only smiled in return.
Mason left.
“Geez, doesn’t he really know how to vibe with us? How do Skyler even cope?” He couldn’t help but ask himself.
“Because Skyler is a queen” Ivy shrugged her shoulders and the table agreed except from Maya and the two unbothered men.
“So what of Edna?” The old man asked again.
“I don’t know about her Grandpa, she clearly did something wrong especially to Skyler and instead of trying to make up for her mistake, she’s keeping malice with everyone and acted like we hurt her and owe her an apology” Ivy rolled her eyes.
“Edna is a really proud person, she’s mad because you won best red carpet dress and hottest woman in the LA because of her mistake and her ego is too strong to make her admit to herself that she was wrong” Hudson said.
“And she was also used as a funny meme” Carson added and it started up a laughter.
“That’s enough!” The old man shut them up and they turned quite immediately.
“If it’s that way then when she’s ready to admit to her mistake, she will be forgiven” he added.

MASON’S ROOM★
Mason arrived with the soup.
“Beautiful, I brought your favorite fish soup” he said softly as he sat on the edge of the bed beside her.
Skyler immediately blocked her nose and took her face away.
“What’s wrong? It’s catfish soup” Mason narrowed his eyes.
“I don’t like the way it smells,” she replied.
“But it’s your favorite” he gave her a surprise look.
“I just don’t like the way it smells today,” she complained.
Mason thought she was playing so he came to the other side of the bed and took a spoonful of the soup.
“At Least you should eat a little even if it’s a spoon” he put the spoon close to her mouth and she acted like she wanted to puke.
However Mason kept trying and she did something that surprised him next, she slapped the soup away from his hands and it poured on the bed.
Mason stared at the bed and her face, she looked a little sorry.
“I didn’t mean to do that, I just don’t want to eat” she said slowly.
“But haven’t eaten since morning, at least eat something, what do you want? Even if it’s impossible, I will get it for you” he pleaded with her.
“Fine, I’ll eat some Chinese noodles,” she said.
“We don’t have that here,” he replied.
“But you said you’d get it for me and that’s what I want!” She frowned at him.
Mason gave her a look before nodding, he took off his suit and changed to some hoodie and joggers before stepping out of the room.
When he got down again, he walked past all of them and they gave him a confused look.
“Where is he going?” Ivy asked.
“I don’t know,” Hudson shook his head.
After thirty minutes, Mason came back with a nylon as he climbed back on the stairs, giving the family a confused look again.
“Where is he coming from?” Ivy asked for the second time.
“I still don’t know,” Hudson shook his head.

Mason was glad that going out to get some Chinese noodles for his wife was worth it because she was actually eating.
“I’m full,” she muttered after taking one more spoon from him.
Mason nodded and kept it one side. He lifted her up from the bed and made stay on the couch as he cleaned the bed and changed the duvet.
Skyler only watched him with a smile, she really admired the effort he put to make her comfortable.
When he was done, he stood in front of her and took off his hoodie which made her crease her brows but she gave it to her instead.
“You should put this on instead, it will make you feel warmer” he stretched it over to her.
Skyler smiled and collected it then put it on, he carried her up again then placed her on the bed, laid beside her and hugged her closer to himself.
“Good night beautiful” he kissed her forehead.
“Good night handsome” she smiled and hugged him tighter before closing her eyes and drifting to sleep.

NEXT MORNING★
Skyler was the first to wake up because she didn’t feel too good. The sudden urge to throw up kept hitting her and she couldn’t resist.
She stood up from the bed and rushed to the restroom then vomited her guts out on the WC toilet.
When she was done, she raised her mouth and face with tap water before staring at her reflection in the mirror.
She looked really sick but while staring at her face, she suddenly gasped when she realized something.
She began counting her fingers.
