Grandpa Mario was stunned with what happened. The house was decorated with some warm lights, balloon and cool panting of him.
“Happy birthday Grandpa!!” Ivy rushed to hug him.
“When did you guys planned all these?” Grandpa Mario looked surprised as he stared at the whole venue.
“Some days back” Edna replied and moved forward to wear a birthday cap on his head.
Grandpa Mario looked around and he was surprised to see Mason there.
“Mason you were apart of this?” He asked in surprise but Mason kept looking at him with no reaction until Skyler hit him, he immediately forced a smile that didn’t last for a second.
“Happy birthday grandpa” Skyler came to hug him, Mason was standing beside her but her didn’t say anything.
“Thank you Sky” Grandpa Mario smiled and her.
“Oh and this is for you” Skyler gave him the wrapped gift she was holding.
“Thank you again Sky” he smiled.
Skyler turned back to hit Mason and Mason immediately formed a smile at his grandpa, the one that looked so ugly since he wasn’t use to smiling that anyone who was not Skyler yet.
“This is from our unborn twins” he passed Grandpa Mario a well packaged flower.
“Wow, they even got me something and this is my favorite, thank you guys so much” the old couldn’t contain the way he was smiling.
“Grandpa” Hudson came with his gift and Mason and Skyler had to excuse themselves.
“Are you really sure it’s a good idea to take the mic in front of all these people and grandpa that I love him?” Mason sounded a little unsure.
Skyler rolled her eyes as they both found a seat to relax.
“So you’re telling me that, you can stand in front of thousands of people to talk about work and this people here aren’t even up to forty and you’re nervous?” She gave him an unbelievable look.
“I’m not nervous” Mason shook his head in denial.
He didn’t have his nose mask on because the people here were mostly family trusted friends that wouldn’t be that bothered after seeing his face.
“Yes you are, you’re sounding really nervous, you want a drink?” She looked at him and he nodded.
Skyler looked around for a waiter, when she saw him, she called him over.
“Give one to my husband please” she said when the waitress arrived.
He gave one to Mason and wanted to give Skyler but Mason held his hands.
“She can’t take wine, she’s pregnant so you can get a an apple or orange drink” he said before releasing the hands of the waitress.
“Okay sir” the waiter gave a respectful bow before leaving.
Somewhere in the bar room where the drinks were being served, Maya could be seen pouring an orange juice in cup, she looked really scared, her hands were shaky as she brought out the small substance that was given to her by Agnes.
She opened it and poured it on the drink then shook it well before going out, luckily she bumped into the waiter.
“I saw you carry wine to serve a pregnant woman, don’t you know wine isn’t good for their health?” Maya began scolding him.
“I’m sorry ma’am, I didn’t know it was not okay” the waiter bowed his head in apology.
“Even a five year old would knows that, here, she would drink this” she stretched the juice to him and he bowed respectfully before taking it from her.
The waiter walked back to Mason and Skyler while Maya watched from afar. “I got the orange juice ma’am” he stretched it to Skyler who collected it.
“Thank you” she smiled at him and he left but the moment he left, Ivy came in.
“Bro!!! I’m glad you came thank you thank you” she hugged Mason and pecked his cheek but he only frowned at her in reply.
“You should thank Skyler cause I wouldn’t be here if she hadn’t force me to come” he muttered.
“Come on Mason, don’t act like you are not happy in your grandpa’s birthday party” Skyler rolled her eyes at him.
“Anyways,I hope you two have fun and sister-in-law.. I’m taking your drink” As fast as flash, Ivy grabbed the juice from Skyler’s hand and ran away.
Maya’s eyes widened and she immediately went after her daughter. Ivy was about to put the cup in her mouth to drink when Maya yelled her name but that didn’t stop Ivy from drinking it.
“Ivy don’t!!” Maya ran towards her but Ivy was done drinking before giving her mother a confused look.
“I..I..” Maya began stuttering.
“Babe, I got the gifts from the car” someone said from behind and Ivy turned back to see Blake holding some wrapped present.
“Babe” she walked towards him and kissed his lips then they both went to Grandpa.
Maya was still lost in her thoughts, she felt like she would fall if she didn’t hold that pole beside her, her hands were shaking as she brought out her phone to call Agnes.
After some rings Agnes picked.
“Did you do it?” Agnes asked.
“Actually I wanted to ask you something different, if a woman who’s not pregnant drinks that substance, what will happen to her?” Maya asked, from her tone, Agnes could already guess something happened.
“What did you do? You didn’t mess up with the plan did you?” Agnes was frowning from the other end.
“Just answer my question! What would happen if someone who’s not pregnant take that medicine?” Maya almost yelled but she had to keep herself calm.
“I don’t know okay, the poison was designed for pregnant women only so I don’t know” Agnes rolled her eyes.
Maya didn’t have any time to continue chatting with Agnes, she hung up and put her hands on head with a worried look on her face.
What would happen now that her daughter have taken the medicine.

“Grandpa, happy birthday” Carson came with his own gift along with James who was holding a gift too.
“You brought your maths tutor” Grandpa smiled when they came.
“I’m more than a math tutor to him sir” James replied.
“Oh, glad you two are close friends now” Grandpa Mario nodded his head.
“Still more than that” James said and looked at Carson.
“I didn’t want to do this on your birthday Grandpa but..” Carson slowly took James hands and interlocked their fingers together.
“I’ve been hiding this from you because I don’t want you to get disappointed, I use to think I was straight but growing up, I found out that I was attracted to guys only and I’m really happy this way, I’m so sorry grandpa” he finally confessed.
Grandpa Mario only stared at him, feeling speechless for a while before turning back to look for someone.
“Emily, come here” he called and Emily left the women she was talking with to walk over to them.
“Your son just told me that he’s just finding out he’s gay, I thought you’ve told him this since?” He faked a scold at her.
Carson’s eyes widened a little.
“You knew all these while?” He muttered like he couldn’t believe.
“You’re my grandson, I knew right from when you were a kid” Grandpa Mario rolled his eyes and Emily only smiled.
“Mom stop smiling! You allowed me to carry all these burden by myself, you didn’t tell me that Grandpa knows” Carson frowned.
“We even broke up” James added and Carson nodded.
“I’m sorry, I just wanted you to figure how you need to handle things” Emily said with a slow smile.
“Wh@tëver, thank you Grandpa” Carson went to hug the old man before leaving with James.
Edna was sitting alone and drinking, she dialed Zach’s number but she couldn’t reach him.
“Edna” Miguel appeared behind her.
“Sorry I’m late, I had to look for the best gift for your Grandpa” he said and Edna put her glass of drink down.
“What did you get him? Let me see” she stretched her hands and he put a bracelet there.
Edna looked at the bracelet and looked left and right before throwing it away.
“Hey why did you do that?” Miguel gasped.
“I’m saving you from a life time embarrassment, you were really going to give that bracelet to my grandpa, it’s not even up to half a thousand dollars” she replied.
“But it’s the best I could afford” he said angrily.
“Well your best isn’t enough” Edna replied back and he shook his head before going to look for the necklace.
Edna only cleared her throat and gulped down another glass of drink. Meanwhile Miguel was searching for the bracelet, he finally out it and was able to go pick it when a hand picked it up for him.
“You dropped this earlier” Mason threw the bracelet back to him and Miguel wasn’t able to say a thank you because Mason already walked past him.
‘Who’s that? He smells really good’ he thought.
Mason walked to the stage and turned off the music so everyone could put their attention on him.
“I’m very sorry to cut this party half way but if you can give me just five minutes to tell.. to wish” he slowly took his eyes to Skyler,she was smiling and nodding at him.
“We all know it’s old man Mario Delgado’s birthday today and I didn’t get him any physical gift. Yesterday when shopping for a gift, my wife asked my why I prefer to express my feelings by spending millions just to tell my Grandpa how much he matters to me and how much I appreciate him being alive every day to live this life with us”
“Grandpa is now eighty years old and I’m making a change today. When I was a kid, I remembered spending time with my Grandpa more than my own parent and I wouldn’t be who I am today if not because of him, all the encouragement, the education, the time we spent together really helped me, it made me who I am today, all the pestering found me a loving wife”
When he said that people were already clapping, Grandpa Mario just kept smiling.
“Come to think of it, you’ve brought nothing but good news in my life and I’m standing here to tell you how grateful I am for your existence everyday. Happy birthday Grandpa, I.. I love you Grandpa” it was really hard for him to say that last part but he did.
People were clapping, Grandpa picked up his walking stick and found his way to the stage.
“That’s the most sincere speech I’ve ever heard from you my baby Grandson” he smiled.
“Stop calling me that Grandpa” Mason frowned and the old man only chuckled.
“Forcing you to get married wasn’t a bad idea after all, come here” the old man hugged him but he didn’t bother returning the hug.
“Hey I haven’t seen you before,you are you?” Rosa asked when she saw Miguel looking at the stage where Mason and his Grandpa was standing.
He was shocked to see the hidden billionaire’s face, turns out the years of wearing nose mask isn’t a waste, he was so handsome.
“Oh, I’m a friend of Edna, she invented me” he faced Rosa and replied.
Rosa only nodded while looking at him from head to toes.
“Never knew Edna keeps people like you as friends” she muttered.
“What do you mean?” Miguel said slowly.
“I mean, Edna only hang out with classy people, people with high class but I’m surprised you’re her friend” Rosa repeated before walking away to meet some of her friends.
Miguel looked left and right before starting at the bracelet. He suddenly remembered what Edna said, she was trying to save him from a life time embarrassment, this bracelet was too cheap for the old man.
He began thinking, the old man has close to a trillion dollars in his account and he was bringing something that’s not half a hundred thousand dollars as a birthday gift, what was he even doing here? Is he really trying to embarrass himself in front of all these people?
He looked at Edna who was still trying to get someone on the phone. He shook his head before turning around and leaving.

DELGADOS’ MANSION★
The party was finally over and everyone were back home, throughout the ride back, Ivy didn’t look too good.
“Are you okay, you’ve been squeezing your face since we were coming back?” Skyler asked.
“I don’t know, my tummy just hurt really bad” Ivy replied and Maya immediately rushed to her.
“Is it that bad? Do you want me to take you to the hospital?” She asked and Ivy shook her head in a negative way.
“It can’t be that serious, maybe I just ate and drank too much, I’m going to bed” he muttered and began climbing the stairs.
“And what about you, you haven’t been smiling throughout the party but you and Ivy planned the whole thing?” Skyler asked Edna who was busy on her phone.
“It’s nothing, I’m also going to bed” Edna walked away.
“I’ll walk you upstairs” Mason stretched his hands out to Skyler.
“Don’t worry I can walk myself, my bump can’t stop me” Skyler rolled her eyes.
“Just shut up and take my hands beautiful, don’t make me give you punishment for what you made me do today” he gave her a knowing look.
Skyler pouted and accepted his hands.
“You’re so really mean” she scoffed as she left with him.
Maya was left alone looking worried.
“Why do your face look like that? It’s making you look older than usual?” Rosa walked towards her with a kind of smile.
Maya didn’t know how to reply so she only made faces at her before turning around and walking away.
Rosa only smiled before going her own way too.

NEXT MORNING; CAMBRIDGE COMPANY★
Edna’s car stopped in front of Zach’s company. She didn’t wait for her driver to open the door for her before she came down and went in herself.
“Is Zach in his office?” She asked the receptionist the moment she got in.
“Yes ma’am, should I call him and tell him you’re outside” the receptionist replied with a smile but Edna shook her head.
“You don’t have to do all that, I’ll just go in myself” she began leaving.
The receptionist looked like she wanted to tell her something but she only pressed her lips and decided to wait for her to go find out herself.
Edna barged inside Zach’s office without knocking, she was surprised to see a girl her age sitting there, even Zach looked surprised to see her.
“Edna, what are you doing here?” He asked.
“What am I doing here? Do I need permission to visit my own boyfriend Zach?” She crossed her arms before looking at the girl with him who looks rather innocent.
“Who’s she?” She asked in a controlled voice.
“She..”
“Is she the reason why you aren’t picking my calls or text, is she the reason why you didn’t even escort me to get gifts for my grandpa? Or why you didn’t show up at my grandpa’s birthday party?” Edna didn’t wait for him to reply before she starting talking.
“I thought you told me you’ve ended things with her?” The girl sitting with Zach whispered to him and Edna’s eyes widened.
“Oh you were even planning to end things with me, how long have you been seeing her Zach?” She gave him an angry look.
“Edna..
“Answer me!!!” She screamed.
“Fine it’s two months back, I’m really sorry Edna, you’re really beautiful, you’re hot, smart and successful but I can’t stand you, you still have a lot of things you need to fix about your personality, it was driving me crazy, I couldn’t so I fell in love with her, she’s simple but she’s everything I want”
The moment Zach said that, Edna burst out into laughter before her eyes moved to the girl.
“You look really Innocent but deep down you’re a bîtch for stealing my boyfriend from me. You were even dating him while we were together, you’re a bîtch!!!” Edna yelled at her
“I understand you’re mad but face me and not her, I was the one who dumped you!!” Zach said and she took her gaze back to him.
“I know what you want Zach, you want a girl you can control and when you can’t control them, you dump them and look for someone else like her, then when she’s expired, you dump her again and look for another, it’s such a pity, your new girl isn’t even worth half my networth” Edna smirked and arranged her hair backwards.
“You still don’t get it do you? No one is impressed by your money. We are done Edna, being with you wasn’t what I thought it would be, can you accept it and leave now” Zach pointed his door.
Edna smirked and crossed her arms under her Brë@šts.
“You’re not even all that Zach, you’re not even that hot or handsome,if I had known I would have picked Miguel instead of you, he doesn’t have money but he’s more of a man you are not” she said.
Zach was still pointing at his door for her to leave.
“Fine! I’d leave and thanks for wasting seven months of my time, I’ll just dust you off like I dust my old shoes, hope you enjoy some quality time with your brand new girl and also when you’re sleeping with her, you can give her my favorite sèx position” she added before heading for the door and leaving.
When she got out, she stormed to her car.
“Leave!!” She ordered the driver.
“But ma’am”
“I said get out!!!” She yelled and the driver obeyed and came down.
She got in and started the car in a really high speed. She didn’t want to cry in front of Zach or show any emotions that she was raging so she decided to do it in the highway.
“Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!” She screamed and hit her horn really hard before pulling over and bursting out into a heavy round of tears.
“Zach you bastard!!!!!”
