“W…what do you mean?” Hilda looked at him not believing what she just heard
“I’m breaking up with you this minute” Emerald broke it down to her and her eyes widened the more as free tears left them
Emerald made to leave but she ran to him, giving him a back hug and rested her head on his broad back
“Boo…..I know you’re joking. You know I won’t survive it if you stop loving me…..”
“I was never in love with you” Emerald scoffed out loud, trying to push her away but she tightened her grip on him
“You can love me Emerald! You can still give me a chance!” Hilda yelled at him and he scoffed again
Finally, he was able to push her off. Just then,the cloud changed and almost immediately the rain began to fall heavily drenching the both of them and they didn’t even bother to go for shelter
“You wasted your chance and I ain’t interested in giving you another!”
“Why did you suddenly want to get involved in everything that’s happening? You never bothered if the students were bullied but…..why did you change all of a sudden? Why can’t you love me?” Hilda yelled
“You have just 24 hours” Emerald only said and walked out
Hilda stare at him blankly. Her eyes were red and her clothes were really soaked as it was obvious that she would catch cold anytime soon
She slowly fell on her butt as she continue to cry

Vanilla walked in and went straight to where Ryan was sitting. His head was rested on the table and this time….he wasn’t with any female.
Vanilla smiled but the smile on her face faded immediately after she remembered why he was like that
“What do you want?”Ryan’s voice jolted her off from her thinking
“I just…..”
“I don’t want to see you. Your face irks me” he cuts in, stood up and walked away leaving Vanilla speechless
She stare at his retreating figure trying to calm herself down but….it didn’t work as tears left her eyes

“I’ve not seen her” Amour said, running to meet the rest of her friends
“Me too. I’ve searched the whole premises and still yet, I haven’t seen her” Sugar murmured while Pepper kept a worried face
She looked through the window, it was still raining heavily and the rain wasn’t gonna stop anytime soon
“I’ve called severally and she’s not picking and now…..her line isn’t even connecting” Kaden groan out
He has been calling but Beauty didn’t bother to pick up
“I can’t wait any longer. I have a place to go with my mom” Sugar murmur sadly as her phone chimes again. It was her mom calling so she hurriedly left
“Me too” Pepper followed sluggishly
Amour stare worriedly. Her driver was already long waiting for her. She heaved a sad sigh, she didn’t have no other option than to leave with the others

Beauty sat up from the chair she has been laying on. She used her hands to brush her hair backward while she picked up her bag. Her clothes was drenched since she stayed in the rain…. Her bag wasn’t left out. All that was on her were d@mn wet
She looked up and one could tell that she has been crying her eyes out.
Her eyes were swollen and it was obvious that she already caught cold
She stood up to leave but instead felt something on her shoulder. When she looked up, her gaze met with that of Emerald
“You’re cold” he simply said and her eyes went to the coat he wore on her
“It’s okay if you don’t appreciate….”
“Thank you” Beauty cut in, looking away but Emerald kept quiet
“Why didn’t you go too? Did you believe I stole the test papers?” Beauty asked still not sparing him a glance
“Why would I?” He rolled his eyes with his hands tucked into his pocket
“I….”Beauty sniff
“It’s okay” Emerald said and slowly began to stroke her hair
She looked up and her gaze met with his
“You are catching cold already. I would have loved to take you to a somewhere refreshing but no….I have my mind changed”
“Thank you” Beauty forced out a smile
“I’ll take you home” Emerald said and without waiting for her to reply, he grabbed her hand taking her away
Beauty on the other hand didn’t decline as she followed him
Dylan who has been watching from afar clenched his fist. He angrily threw the coat he has bought on the ground and continue watching as Emerald walked with Beauty. He had wanted to get to her first but Emerald was faster enough

BROCKS HOME**HILDA’S ROOM~7PM*
Mrs Kaitlyn entered the room after knocking severally with out getting any reply in return. There, she met Hilda bent beside the bed with several rumpled tissue all over the floor
“My baby!!”mrs Kaitlyn yelped rushing to Hilda
Hilda looked up with her swollen eyes as she stare at her mom. The heartbreak she received from Emerald still stung her
“He broke up with me because of her” Hilda sniffed and Mrs Kaitlyn quickly understood
“My baby!!!”
“I don’t wanna hear it! I just want him back mom” Hilda yelled and Mrs Kaitlyn began to pay her
“I’d make sure he comes begging” she assured
“I don’t need him to beg! I just want him to come back” Hilda cried the more
“He’d come back” Mrs Kaitlyn assured.

The car stopped in front of a building and Beauty stepped out of it. She had smiles on her face
“Thank you”
“You should go in” Emerald said and watched her as she went in
He sighed out deeply and roughed his hair before driving out
Immediately she opened the door, she came in contact with her mom
“Beauty, are you okay? I was dead worried even though I didn’t call” Mrs Benita said rushing her words
“I’m fine mom”
“You don’t look like it” Mrs Benita replied as she followed Beauty who walked through the stairs
“I got a call from Mr Router…..”
“Everyone believes that I stole the papers but I didn’t mom. I don’t even know how it got to my bag. I was given a punishment, how then did they…..” Beauty sniffed
“I believe you. Even if no one does, I’d believe you” Mrs Benita said
“I didn’t mom”
“I know. You’re my stubborn, beautiful, well behaved daughter and I know that you can’t do a thing like that” Mrs Benita said
Finally they got to beauty’s room
“You look sick”
“I’m fine” Beauty replied
“I just got drenched” she said again and then, my mind went to Emerald. She didn’t even know if he has gotten home
“I’ll go use the bathroom” she left, leaving Mrs Benita who sat on the bed.

NEXTDAY* EMERALD HIGHSCHOOL*
“I wonder what punishment you will be given “ Sugar said, thinking but Beauty stayed calm
She said nothing as they talked. She looked up but couldn’t find Emerald
“He must be in the boardroom” she said inwardly
“Hey!!” A voice said behind her and when she looked up, her gaze met with that of Dylan
“I’m sorry for not coming to check on you” He said
“You don’t have to be “ Beauty replied calmly
Amour stood up and went to Range the moment he walked in to the classroom
“Since when did they become this close” Kaden asked
“Do you expect them to keep being loggerheads forever?” Sugar scoffed
“That’s not the important issue in ground “ Pepper said and they all kept a straight face
Hilda said at the corner of the library with an obvious worried look on her face
“You don’t have to be worried….it’s not 24 hours yet” Camilla said trying to calm her down
“I can’t even think of anything and I can’t just tell them that I stole that paper” Hilda yelled
“I think you should do it” Vanilla chipped in
“Your useless opinion doesn’t matter. You ain’t even different” Hilda scoffed
“Watch it Hilda!” Vanilla yelled back
“Really? After all you did?” Hilda scoffed again
“I am still different from you” Vanilla said and walked out

Jeremie walked out of the restroom and collided into Emerald who was going in
“You again” Emerald hissed
“I…..”
“How could you let a woman control you? You look shameless”he cut In and walked away leaving Jeremie
FEW HOURS LATER*BOARDROOM*
Beauty stood in-front of the teachers. For over thirty minutes they’ve been talking. Immediately she looked up her eyes met with that of Emerald…he was staring blankly at her without moving his eyelids
Her mom, Mrs Benita was also present
“I wonder why you ain’t saying anything Mr Router. You know well that the punishment for what she did is expelling her” one of the teachers said
Beauty’s heart fell and she didn’t even know what to do…. She didn’t even know when she started crying.

HALLWAY•••
“I’m doomed Camilla. I can’t think of a plan. Emerald will…..”Hilda paused when she saw Jeremie running towards the boardroom with something in his hands and she quickly ran, following him
BACK TO THE BOARDROOM•••
“Emerald! Won’t you say a word? This student here is a thief” another teacher spat
“What do you want me to say? And how are you sure she stole the papers when you didn’t conduct a proper investigation?” Emerald yelled and the teachers flinched, all gulping down saliva except mr Router
Emerald checked his watch and hissed inwardly, one could see his visible vein as he was angry
“You are hereby expelled from Emerald Highschool Beauty…..”
“Take that word back Mr Router. You’re talking Sh|t”Emerald cuts in with a clenched fist
Just then, the door opened and Jeremie ran in with papers in his hands
“Beauty is innocent! I stole the papers”.
