Just then, the door opened and Jeremie ran in with papers in his hands
“Beauty is innocent! I stole the papers” he said panting heavily as he rested his hands on his knee
All that were present had a surprise look on his face except Emerald who had a smirk on his face. He slowly released his clenched fist
“That’s total nonsense Jeremie! Do you wanna take the blame?” Mr Router roared angrily while Jeremie swallowed
Beauty slowly looked up with her teary eyes staring at Jeremie as many thoughts ran through her mind
The most important that she was curious about was why he decided to take the blame. She didn’t even know him too well and they never talked….although they rarely stare at each other
Hilda stood with obvious fear in her eyes. She gripped her skirt trying to calm her self down but her adrenaline didn’t abide to it.
“What if he exposes me?”she fearfully asked Camilla who was standing behind her
“I don’t know but something tells me that he’s not gonna do that” Camilla replied
“Jeremie! Do you know what you’re doing?”Mrs feisty asked with a sad tone
She never expected that from him
“What else do y’all want to hear? He openly made a confession so what is stopping you from giving him his punishment?” Emerald questioned referring to Mr Router who in turn glared hard at Jeremie before looking away
“Repeat what you said earlier” he said and Jeremie looked up
All eyes in the boardroom were on him which made him swallow hard
“Like I said before….I was the one who stole the papers. I wanted to teach her a lesson because….”
“Why did you intend to teach her a lesson?” Emerald cuts in
“Because I don’t like her” Jeremie simply replied causing Emerald to scoff
“Assemble the students.” Mr Router said to one of the teachers and faced Jeremie. “I’ll be in my office” he then walked out
One after the other, the teachers despised leaving behind Emerald, Hilda, Beauty and Camilla and Mrs Benita
Emerald didn’t utter a word, he avoided Beauty’s gaze and glared at Hilda before leaving
Hilda walked out….followed by Camilla
“Mom…” Beauty smiled faintly while her mom walked to her, giving her a slight hug
“From now on, you don’t have to be worried about anything” Mrs Benita smiled
“But…..”
“No but Beauty. Everything is settled” Mrs Benita cuts in while Beauty sighed out
Still yet, she wondered why Jeremie decided to take the blame even though he was part of it
“Something that I didn’t know must have happened” she thought inwardly

MR ROUTER’S OFFICE*
“You’re a coward Jeremie!!” Mr Router fired and banged the table.
Several papers of files flew down, scattering on the floor and chair
“I’m sorry uncle”Jeremie swallowed and a hard slap landed on his cheek
His lip bursted
“Repeat that statement again and I might chop off your head” Mr Router threatened
Jeremie took his lip in
“What will I tell your parents? That you are expelled from school because you stole? Or because of your foolishness? Now tell me, who pushed you to this?” He asked angrily but Jeremie kept quiet, facing the floor
“Was it a female? Hilda?” He asked again and this time, Jeremie looked up
“H…how did you know?” Jeremie managed to ask
“You’re a Füçking idiot for asking me that. You think I wouldn’t know? She pushed you into doing something disastrous just because she knew obviously that you loved her and you did it….just because you are a coward” mr Router spat
Jeremie went mute as he played with his fingers
“You are going to be expelled”
“I wanted it anyway”
“You will be returning back to Russia tomorrow. I’ll inform your parents so get prepared” Mr Router uttered and walked out of the office, leaving Jeremie who sighed out
“Füçk” he groaned and then rouged his hair

CLASSROOM••
The electronic bell was heard and the students hurriedly left the class one after the other
“Hey! Ryan!” Vanilla said running to him
Again, he wasn’t with any lady
“I don’t wanna talk to you until Emerald is fine” Ryan replied angrily and increased his pace
“He doesn’t even wanna give me a chance. It’s killing me me slowly” she breath heavily and continued walking

“It was more easier than we thought”Camilla smiled sheepishly
“I swear for that moment I thought he was going to expose me” Hilda replied
“The power of love” Vanilla said from behind as walked hastily to catch up with them
“Love my foot. He’s just a coward to admit. At least it saved me of Emerald’s anger” Hilda hissed as they continued walking to the assembly ground
From afar, the could see students there already
“My heart beats for Emerald only” Hilda said
“I still wonder why he got involved though”Camilla quizzed while Hilda rolled her eyes

“I feel really sad for Beauty”Pepper mumbled
Sugar didn’t say a word
“I don’t think I can stay here any longer. My heart is beating faster and I might get a panic attack” Amour said holding her chest
Beside her were Pepper, Sugar and Kaden
“I’m right behind you. I’ll make you feel at ease” Dominic uttered from behind with a smile on his face
Amour returned the smile and the face front
Range scoffed from where he was watching them. He wasn’t with the others
“Enjoy her while she lasts in your care. I’ll have her back” he mumbled trying to take his eyes off them but couldn’t
And at any slightest thing, he clench his hands
Finally Mr Router walked out and all eyes glued on him but… instead of Beauty to walk out, it was Jeremie who did instead

“Silence everyone!”Mr Router ordered and there was silence
Even the drop of a pin could be heard
Now facing the students, Jeremie had his face down. He raised his head and his gaze met with that of Hilda
“Jeremie……confessed that he stole the papers and hid it inside Beauty’s bag”Mr Router said
👥Gasps
“It was the test script meant for the external examination and for this dubious act of his….”Mr Router paused and stare blankly at Jeremie who faced the ground
The students held their breath waiting to hear the punishment given to him
“Jeremie Wilber is expelled from Emerald high school and won’t be permitted to attend to any school within the state” Mr Router concluded
Jeremie looked down as his face fell. He was sad and….nearly broke into tears
The students began to murmur

👥 how could Mr Router pass such punishment? I heard that they’re even related
The murmuring between the students went on and on
From where Emerald stood, smile escaped from his lip
“He wasn’t my target but that was fair enough” he mumbled walking away
