“You don’t tell me who to stay away from dear sister” Amelia said plainly.
“I know him more than you do. Remember you promised me that you’ll break the ribs of whoever did that to me” Amanda said.
“That was long ago and now I can choose who I can be with and who I can’t not you ” Amelia retorted.
“Even at the sake of your sister” Amanda muttered.
“What are you trying to say?” Amelia said perplexed.
“If you go to him then you have to forget about us being sister” Amanda said.
“Fine if that’s what you want. Let it be” Amelia turned her face away and Amanda dropped the lunch she brought for the both of them before storming out of the room.
Few seconds after she left, she heard a knock on the turned and she turned to see Reed Poppin his head in.
“Can I come in” He asked and she nodded.
“See I never knew she was your sister and besides that I didn’t cheat on her. It was a pure misunderstanding” Reed said and Amelia sighed.
“You don’t have to explain yourself” She muttered.
“Does that mean you believe me despite your sister’s words” Reed asked and she shook her head.
“I never said I believe you but I know Amanda more than anyone else and she tends to act irrational. She loves things to go away and I have been putting up with her for years but now I won’t anymore” She said and he smirked.
“Does that mean I have a chance to try my luck on you” He asked.
“I never said so. What you’re just trying to mess with me. I’m not ready to go into any relationship especially not with a playboy” Amelia chuckled.
“I’m not a player. I repented years ago….. Okay let’s strike a deal” He said and Amelia sole attention went to him. “If I sort things out with Amanda would you give me a chance then” he said.
“I will think about it” She replied.
“Better be positive” He said and stood up.
“I will be back later” He winked at her before leaving and Amelia checked herself in the mirror.
She was blushing and she tapped her cheeks so that her pink cheeks would go away.
ALMOND HIGH*
Anastasia was waiting for Betty to show up. They were going to take the bus home so she already informed her driver not to come pick her up.
She said she forgot something back in class. She heard her phone chime and she brought it out. It was a text from Betty.
*Something came up and I had to follow Jude home. I am sorry 🥰🥰
Anastasia squeezed her face before grumbling.
“Hi aren’t you going home” Anastasia looked up and saw Andy in front of her.
“I wanted to go with Betty but she stood me up” Anastasia said disappointed.
“Why don’t we go together. I would be a good company” He suggested and Anastasia looked around.
There was no way to avoid him so she slowly nodded.
“So about the deal. Don’t you think I won” He said as they walked together to the bus top.
“You knew you were going to win already that’s why you did that in the first place” Anastasia said.
“You can just say I had high hopes. So about the date would you agree to go on the date with me” He asked.
“You already know my reply so quit asking” Anastasia rolled her eyes.
“I believe that’s a yes.I will come pick you up by 6pm” He said smiling happily.
“I don’t think so. Why don’t I come to the place. You will send the address to me” Anastasia said quickly.
“Okay…. If that’s what you want” He replied and they got to be bustop.
“So see you by 6pm” Andy waved at her as he watched her get into the bus before walking away.
ARMSTRONG MANSION*
Madison and Neil had been in the room all day but they weren’t talking to each other. Neil was still faking not to know her.
Madison was watching a Netflix movie on her phone as she sat on the bed with a bowl of popcorn in her hand.
She suddenly started craving for some ice cream but she didn’t want to go out alone so she used the corner of her eyes to stare at Neil but he wasn’t looking at her.
She faked a cough trying to get his attention and luckily she did cause he rushed to her with concern written all over his face.
“Are you okay?” He asked.
“I am” she said and then cleared her throat. How would she approach this question to him.
“I’m craving for some ice cream so I was thinking of us going out together to get some” Madison said in the most polite tone she could form and she was silently waiting for him to reply positively.
“Sure” He said and Madison could swear that her heart danced in joy.
Madison quickly jumped from the bed to go Change her clothes and in some minutes she was back.
“Shall we” She led the way downstairs and they left the mansion. A driver drove them out of the mansion.
The drive was short cause the moment they saw a nearby ice cream stand . They told the driver to stop.
Madison came down same with Neil and they crossed over to where the Ice cream stand was.
“Two cones of vanilla flavor please” Madison said and their order was brought to them.
“Do you want some” She asked but he shook his head.
“Are you always this lively” Neil asked out of the blue and Madison paused from licking the ice cream .
“Umm I don’t understand”
“I mean around me. I want to ask if we were a lovely couple together. Yunno I need to know so maybe our memories together could trigger my mind into remembering” Neil deliberately asked that question.
Madison thought deep about it. They have never really made any memory together. They were always bickering at each other.
“It’s kinda complicated but we can make memories now. What do you think?” Madison smiled and Neil was lost staring at his eyes for a moment.
He had never really seen her smile this happily with him before. She was always finding fault in his action and now he was having a second thought.
Maybe pretending this way with her was a good option after all cause she was doing all what she has never done with him before.
“Are you hearing me?” Madison waved her hands at his front and he came back to reality.
“I have a secret lake I haven’t really told anyone about but you would be the first person knowing there” She said and then she took his hand taking him back to where the car was parked.
Neil stared at his wrist that she held and a small smile escaped his lips.
They discharged the driver and Madison volunteered to drive them there. Madison parked the car a distance away and they got down.
She took him through a narrow path till they got to a small late. It was kinda reserved and looked lonely and quiet.
There was a small rock there and Madison quickly went to sit there. She tapped the space beside her and Neil went to join her.
“I know you find this place weird but to me it’s just like my place of solace” Madison said wriggling her legs as her hair blew with the wind.
“When I was little I found this place one day after I ran away from home. Do you know why?” She asked and it was a rhetorical question left for her to answer.
“I’ve always wanted a simple life. My home was too stuffy cause I had so many responsibility and duties to fulfill so that I would make my parents proud but I was tired of it all. I wanted to be myself and that’s why anytime I needed that moment I would come here” she said and paused.
“I never wished to be who I am but I never had a choice because my Mum would always tell me that I was above everyone else and they were like trash to me. I had that belief instilled in me but now I don’t think it pays because it would keep taking everyone away from me and that includes this place”
“I stopped coming here since then and I really missed the calmness and serenity” She said and breathed in the fresh air.
Madison felt some warm hands graze her skin and it was Neil as he tucked some tendrils of her hair which had been stuck to her face and she turned to him.
“What are you doing?” She whispered when his hands never left her face.
“Can I kiss you???” He asked in a solemn voice
