(Next day)
Evelyn sat on the chair staring at a particular spot.
One could tell she was anxious. Her mother was currently in surgery.
“Is mum going to be okay?” Ava asked, and evelyn nodded faking a smile.
“Evelyn,” She heard that farmiliar voice called. She turn around, and met with Haris, and the rest.
“Haris,” She called, and hug him tightly while the other just run her shoulder softly.
At least she felt relief that Haris was here since martin was not with her.
“How is mum?” Haris asked and evelyn bursted into tears.
“I don’t know Haris, they have been in there for the past 6 hours but they haven’t said anything yet,” She said crying bitterly, and Haris sigh.
“Hey,” Evelyn waved at the rest who did the same.
“Martin called us….he said he didn’t want you to be alone,” Liam said, and evelyn smiled softly.
Just by hearing his name always put a smile on her face.
“My brother really care about you…..I bet he can’t concentrate on wh@tëver he is doing right now because he is d@mn so worried about you,” Charlotte said, and she laughs softly.
“That’s it…. You can’t just stop that happiness inside of you when you hear his name,” James said and everyone laughs.
“Am sure your mum is a strong woman, and she is going to come out alive,” Elizabeth said, and evelyn nodded.
“Did martin called you too?” Noah asked, glaring at her.
“Well she was with me…got problem with that?” Haris raised his eyebrows at him, and the other male scoffs.
“Hmmm… I am thankful to all of you here,” Evelyn said. She looked at the both male who wouldn’t stop glaring at each other, and then she came to the conclusion that something was going on with the both of them.
Her phone peep.
She stare at it only to discover it was a message from martin.
“Hey love…I am in a business meeting now but I just can’t concentrate knowing you need me right now. I am so sorry I am not there for you. How’s mum? Is she okay? Please message me immediately. I can’t stop worrying about you. Take care sweetheart,” She couldn’t help but smile as she read the text.
“Hmmm. Probably that is from martin. He is the only one that can put that bright smile on your face,” Haris said, and she hits him playfully on his chest.
“They are still working on her. Thanks for your concern darling,” She sent.

Martin sigh in relief as he saw the text. At least there is still hope.
He sigh, and robbed his forehead slowly.
“Mr Martin,” Someone called, and he quickly raised his head up to meet with some people staring at him.
“You seem distracted sir,” Mr marcus said.
“Oh am so sorry,” He apologize.
“So as we were saying mr Martin. What do we gain when we sigh this business deal with you?”
“Hmmm I am going to give you half of my share until the deal is over,” Martin Said.
“How sure do we trust you?”
“Mr marcus, I am a man of my words. You can ask for me anywhere, and people will tell you I am fair towards my business,” Martin said, and Marcus nodded his, smiling widely.
“I have heard of you Mr Martin. Indeed you are a man of your words.”
“So…?” Martin asked anxiously.
This deal mean alot to him. It can make his company gain more popularity as Mr marcus company popularity is 98% while his is 88%.
He took his biro and sigh the docvment placed on his front.
“Thank you so much sir,” Martin said as he stood up from the chair.
“Am so glad to meet you Mr Martin. I have been longing to meet you. It is d@mn nice to do business with you,” Mr marcus stretch his hand For an handshake which martin reciprocated.
“It is my pleasure,” He said trying to put on his best smile.
Martin sat in the car alongside with Oliver who was busy staring out of the window.
He just wanted to go back to her, and make her feel okay while she is with him, he just wants to whisper in her ear and tell her she is okay.
He dialed her number the first time but she was not picking up which kinda made him worried.
“Why the hell is she not picking up?” H muttered to himself, and dialed her number again but she was still not picking up.
He sigh and dial Haris number, who picked up almost immediately.
“Oh hi mar….”
“Where the hell is evelyn? Am calling her but she is not picking up,” He cut him off and the other rolled his eyes.
“Evelyn martin wanna talk to you,” Haris yells through the phone, and probably handed the phone to evelyn.
“Why the hell are you not picking up my call?” He asked angrily making evelyn sigh.
“I didn’t know my phone was ringing,” She replied, and martin scoffs.
“How is mum?”
“She is okay now. She made it out of surgery,” She said happily making martin sigh in relief.
“Am d@mn so happy she is okay,” Martin said.
“I know. I wanted to call you as possible but I was just so happy that I forgot,”
“Is okay, I get it.” Martin said, and evelyn smiled.
“I am missing you like crazy…. everything I touch reminds me of you, everything I do reminds me of you. I really miss you,” Evelyn said, and martin smiled.
His cheek was turning red.
“Awwn, eve you are making me blush,” He said, and evelyn bursted into laughter.
“I miss you more….I am longing for you,” He said.
“Okay I will call you later. Haris seem impatient,” Evelyn said, and Martin laugh softly.
“Bye babe,” Martin said.
“Bye ,” She said and the call ended.
“Oh my… Geez. Finally,” Haris said as he took his phone from her while everyone just laugh.
“You can see her no. She has been moved to her ward,” A nurse said.
“Thank you so much,” She said and rush to the ward.
She open the door gently.
She smile when she saw her mother laying on the bed sleeping peacefully.
She feel so relieved now, that she is okay.
