Chapter Twenty seven
Claire woke up to find Andrew beside her. She layed back, content in looking at his face.
Even though he is asleep, he looked so handsome. She thought as she stared dreamily at her husband.
For the past two days,. she has always woken up to stare at him while he sleeps and she never gets tired of doing so.
Ever since the day she confessed to him that she can see the future and had confessed her love to him. He has been the most caring and loving husband of all.
They had spent more time in their bedroom than out of it.
They never went for their honey moon but the past two days have felt like a honeymoon to her.
She was pampered, loved and taken care of in the most greatest way.
The more he did for the more she loved him. She thought as her mind drifted off to her most recent dream.
She got out of bed, putting on a robe, she moved towards the balcony to stare outside.
Today is the day she die just like she dreamt of.
Andrew had told her that they would be spending a week in their room with no disruption from anyone but she knew that something will definitely go wrong.
She was deep in thought that she didn’t notice Andrew getting out of the bed until he wrapped his arms around her.
“Morning sunshine”He said softly and she snuggled closer.
“Morning”she returned getting rid of the bad thoughts in her head.
“Why did you leave the bed. I wanted to continue from where we stopped last night”he muttered as he gently caressed her body.
“Don’t you get satisfied?”She asked teasing him.
“If it’s for you? I never do”he replied kissing her neck.
She turned in his arms to give him a kiss on the lip.
“You will have to be satisfied with this for now”she said.
“Why?”
“I want to cook breakfast for you”she returned coolly.
“But the maids are there to do that and …….”
“And I still want to cook. You have never eaten anything cooked by me and so I want to do that today and besides we have spent the past two days in this room”she returned.
“Dont you like it?”He asked.
“Of course I do. I enjoy being with you. Its been the best two days of my life and will continue to be. I just have to………Arrrrrgh!!”She shrieked when he carried her In his arms.
“What are you doing?”She asked.
“Taking you back to bed. I will get to eat your food Someday but for now. Let me get our breakfast myself”he said and when she tried to protest again. He kissed her to compliance.
“Dont make me change my mind and ravish you right here”he teased gently and she nodded.
Though she would have enjoyed his ravishing, she needed to eat something too and so she nodded.
“Have I told you how much I love you?”He asked and she shaked her head negatively.
“You did so last night but you haven’t this morning”She returned.
“I love you”He said kissing the top of her nose.
“And I love you too”she replied back feeling like the most luckiest woman on earth.
“I will be back soon”he said as he left the room.
A while later and Andrew isn’t back yet. What could be keeping him down there,she thought as she went to take her bathe.
While she showered and got dressed, he didn’t come back and feeling worried she went out in search of him.
Sofia and Ben were no where to be seen. The last time she had actually seen them was two days ago.
She had been locked out of the world and it was all Andrew fault.
Lucia Black had gone on a business trip, she knows that much because Andrew told her about it and his grandmother have been doing fine.
She got to the kitchen only to find him there with a little girl beside him. She wanted to announce her presence but stayed back to watch them both.
“Would you like to play?”Andrew asked the little girl trying to get her to talk to him.
“Do you want some cookie? Perhaps ice-cream?”He said trying to get her to talk but she never replied and he sighed .
“At least say something. Are you scared of me?”Andrew asked but there was no response.
Claire knew she had to step in then, she thought as she walked into the room.
“She won’t talk if you bombard her with questions” she said.
“Claire” he said surprisingly.
“You were taking a long time and I was wondering what was keeping you. Turns out its a little angel with deep blue eyes” Claire said as she knelt in front of the child.
“Am sorry. As soon as I got here I was saddled with her by the maid. Turns out the workers are on their day off. Her mother was the only one around but had to rush to the hospital for an emergency. I told her to leave the child here and so here I am”He said softly.
“You did well love. She is such a cutie”Claire cooed.
“A softie who can’t talk”Andrew muttered softly.
“Where is my Mommy?” The little girl spoke up making Andrew eat back his words.
“She went out darling. I will be taking care of you instead.would you like an ice-cream?'”Claire asked the little girl.
“Yes”she replied only to recieve a soft pat on her head from Claire.
“She is hurting my feelings”Andrew said as he stared at the girl and Claire laughed.
“Why don’t you go and shower, I will stay with her until you get back” Claire suggested and he gave her a kiss before sauntering off.
Claire took the little girl to the garden to play while munching on her ice cream.
She was still watching her when Ben approached them.
“I get to see you finally “He said as he moved towards her.
“Have you been looking for me?”Claire asked
“Yes. But your husband told me you two were having the most delectable honeymoon in your room”He answered and Rose blushed.
“So it’s true”He said softly and she stared at him.
“You haven’t really told me why you are here. I can’t believe you are friends with Sofia for her to ask you to come stay here?”Claire questioned.
“You really know me”Ben muttered and moved towards her.
“Your right! I didn’t come here because am a friend of Sofia. I came solely to get the woman I love back”He replied.
“The woman you love?”
“Yes, Claire. I have been a fool. For the past years we have been together, I never noticed you or the love you felt for me. I stupidly ignored your love for me but I realise it now. Its been you all along. I love you Claire. I love you “He said as he pulled her into his arms.
“You married Andrew on a rebound. You don’t love him. Its me you love and am here now”he added as she tried to push him away.
It was quite hard at first but she succeeded in achieving it.
“Its true that I once loved you Ben but that’s is all in the past now. I love Andrew. I married him because I love him”She stated fiercely.
“That’s not true! You don’t love him,it’s me you love”He said fiercely.
“I once love you, not anymore. I love Andrew now. He is the love of my life. So let’s end this discussion. Am a married woman now”She said fiercely and he would have continued if Claire hadn’t notice that the child she was watching has went missing.
“Where is the girl here?”Claire asked.
“What girl?”Ben returned
“The little girl I was watching over here”Claire stated as she began to look for her.
While Ben went back in to get help, Claire went out of the estate. Heading to the street looking for the girl.
Her only thought was on finding her. She didn’t even notice that she had left the house.
She was searching the streets like crazy when she saw the girl walking on the road leading to the next street. A car was coming straight at her.
This had been her dream. Though circvmstance have changed.
She had dreamt that Andrew and her had gone out for a tour of the city and she had met her death while trying to save a little girl and now here she is on the street looking at the girl whom she had been told to watch over crossing down the street.
Her dream always come to reality, she thought as she ran after the girl.
She manage to catch hold of her and the car which was meant to hit them drove towards them.
Suddenly she was pushed out of the way and while she fell with the girl. She knew the car had hit someone else.
Through the noise. Claire saw Andrew on the floor. Blood oozing from his head while he was unconscious.
The car had hit Andrew instead of her.
