CHAPTER 39➿40
★ANGELO’S SECRET RESIDENCE★
Shirley stirred from the bed, she tried opening her eyes but it felt like something was stopping her, she squinted her eyes hoping it will feel better but it was worse. Someone suddenly rushed to her when he heard sounds coming from her direction
“Hey, you okay?” Alex asked touching her
“I–can’t-open-my eyes” she whispered and he quickly rushed to the cotton to close it, guess it was the sun penetrating into her eyes
“Try opening your eyes now” He whispered also and she did slowly before finally opening it fully, she gasped immediately
“Where am I? What are you doing here?” she asked with widened eyes trying to remember what happened
“I will explain everything, just calm down” Alex said gently
“You feel better?” he asked gently and she nodded slowly, she tried standing up and he slowly helped her up, he raised a pillow to her back to make her rest fully and she sighed in relief.
“The only thing I remembered is that I was tied to a chair and was asked questions by a masked man, I answered all his questions before fainting, wait…did he drop me off the road? He’s so heartless” she rushed her words
“Did you just say all that at once? You asked a question and you answered it yourself” Alex said surprisingly and she rolled her eyes
“I didn’t find you on the road ok? I was actually the one that kidnapped you” Alex started and she gasped
“What are you saying?” She ssked gently
“Actually, Angelo found out about you ransacking his office the other day and since then he told us to look for the person, Adrian really went through a lot before he hacked you down, I guess you are an hacker also but maybe a little better than him, so when Adrian got you, we told Angelo and he told us to get you, we brought you here and did all these stuffs, I guess you can finish it from there” Alex explained
“Are you a criminal?” She asked gently
“Of course not” he answered immediately
“The why did you have all those stuffs?” she asked again
“For situations like this, but trust me he didn’t mean to do that to you, he thought you will talk when you see that, he was trying to scare you but you didn’t give in, so he had no other choice, I guess you watch action movies, you should know how they remove nails from cuticles, he was doing it gently so he won’t have to remove all of it” Alex explained again
“I didn’t talk because my sister is in his custody, I don’t even know what he would have done to her right now” Shirley suddenly started crying and he stared at her with widened eyes, how can she just suddenly switch from a bold face to a crying face
“Can I get my phone? He must have called so many times” Shirley looked around and he continued staring at her, she looked at him and saw that he wasn’t fazed at all
“What did I expect from you all? Feel pity for me? I guess I was dreaming” she muttered but he heard her
“Can you let me talk or you want to continue looking for you phone?” Alex asked gently
“Is that gonna be of any help to me?” she scoffed
“Are you gonna listen first?” He asked and she sat down reluctantly
“So after you fainted, I had to search for everything about you, I couldn’t find some on the internet but I finally had my way through another source, I found out about your real name, your sister’s name and what she was suffering from, I had to look for where he kept her also, so I told Angelo about it and we all made a plan with some of our people also, we raided his house and we were able to locate her but and we brought her here” Alex explained
“What did you just say?” she asked
“Bring her in” Alex said loudly and the door opened, the little girl stepped in
“Viola!!!” Shirley screamed loudly and Alex had to block his ears
“Violet!!!” Viola screamed also, it was much more louder than Shirley’s own, Alex stared at the both of them weirdly
Shirley stood up from the bed hurriedly and rushed to Viola who was also running to her, they hugged tightly when they got to each other burying their faces in the crook of each other neck, they started sobbing
“Are you okay? Did he hurt you? Are you feeling pains anywhere? He didn’t touch you right?” Shirley asked all together
“I’m fine sis, I missed you so much, he told me you left me all alone but I knew you wouldn’t” Viola said
“You know I would never do that right? I love you so much” Shirley said still crying, she broke the hug, she cupped her little sister face in her hands looking at her lovingly
“I missed you so much” Shirley said
“I missed you too so much” Viola said with a crying voice
“Please don’t leave me ever again” Viola said gently
“I promise I won’t, anywhere you go, I will follow you” Shirley replied and hugged her again.
★FEW MINUTES LATER★
NB: SHIRLEY WILL BE CALLED VIOLET FROM NOW ON, SO DON’T BE CONFUSED WHEN YOU SEE VIOLET AND PLEASE DON’T MISTAKE HER NAME WITH HER SISTER’S NAME. SHIRLEY IS VIOLET DEBROCKS AND HER LITTLE SISTER IS VIOLA DEBROCKS.
“I don’t even know how to thank you all right now, I’m so grateful” Violet said
“It’s fine” Alex replied
“But trust me you sister is an handful, before she even followed us here was stress, she had to ask for your name if you were really the one that sent us here” Alex said and Viola rolled her eyes at him
“I know she’s a lot, buh which name did you tell her?” Violet asked
“I told you I had to get informations about you, that’s where I got your real name from, Violet Debrocks” he replied and she looked at him
“You are really good then, if you can be able to get my name” She muttered and he smiled
“Hey weirdo, where’s that handsome man?” Viola suddenly asked and they both stared at her
“Which handsome man?” Violet asked
“She’s talking about Angelo, she literally h@tëd I and Adrian and only talked nice about Angelo” Alex rolled his eyes and Viola glared at him
“He’s not around but you will see him later” Alex finally said
“So that’s what you couldn’t say since and you used almost one hour before talking” Viola scoffed and Violet laughed at Alex who was glaring at her
“How’s your wound? I’m not that heartless to ask about your wound” Viola said and he smiled
“Your wound?” Violet asked
“Ohh he got shot, he didn’t tell you?” Viola asked and Violet shaked her head
“You are a real talkative” Alex muttered
“You got shot? How?” Violet asked and he explained everything to her
“I’m really sorry about this, I don’t even know what to say right now” Violet said emotionally
“It’s nothing, you don’t have to worry about it, it’s just a scratch, it will heal up” Alex assured her and she nodded gently
“Actually, the real truth is that he was trying to play the hero but his own hero fell, nice one Mr Bahuballi” Viola said and Violet bursted into laughter. Alex suddenly geabbed his shoe and Viola knew what was coming for her immediately, she took to her heels and he followed her, they started running around the room while Violet laughed loudly looking at their little drama.
★SANDY’S RESTAURANT★
“I want her” Angelo said and Alaina eyes widened.
“Her?” the woman asked and he nodded
“I can’t have her?” he asked and she immediately shook her head
“Of course you can, when is she supposed to be ready?” the woman asked again and Alaina scoffed
“Is she some property or something that they are bargaining over her…” she wondered
“Now!!” Angelo said sharply and Alaina glared at him secretly
“Ana, you heard him, change and follow him now” The woman said and she nodded reluctantly
“Mandy will come with you also incase you need any help” the woman added and Mandy eyes widened with excitement, she has never gone to the Wilkerson’s mansion and she’s finally making her dream come true
“Okay ma” Mandy said
“Why is she getting excited over this?” Alaina thought before walking out of the room
“Which event?” Adrian asked when everyone left the room
“Just an event, there mustn’t be a celebration for you to celebrate something” Angelo said and walked out also, Adrian followed him
Immediately Angelo stepped out of the office, the woman(Sandy) rushed to him
“They are ready” she said and he nodded
“We are leaving now” he said and started walking out but stopped making them wonder what the problem was again. Mandy held her bag tightly tapping her legs in excitement until she heard the most dreadful word of her life
“The one I choose is enough, I don’t think she needs another companion, it’s not really a big event” Angelo dropped the bombshell and Mandy heart dropped.
