Shaun gritted his teeth, closing his eyes to suppress his anger. He gently removed his hand from Sebastian’s hold, placing the bottle down.
He let out a dry chuckle.
“I guess this is payback for locking you out of the room.” He sighed picking up his plate. Thankfully today isn’t school day and only few students were here.
“I’m sorry about this, I just can’t let you hurt her.” Sebastian said and Shaun looked at Fabiola and then back at Sebastian.
“You should put a leash on your girlfriend or she might get into serious trouble with the wrong person.” He said walking away and out of the cafeteria.
Sebastian ruffled his hair, exhaling. He looked at Fabiola and she bit her buttom lip.
He frowned at her, walking away immediately.
“Great. Now what have I done.” Fabiola muttered turning around. Seb was already at the exit door.
“Baby.” She called but he walked away without turning back. Fabiola immediately ran after him, leaving her food on the table.
She rather go hungry than let her brother be mad at her.
“Baby wait.” She called again, trying to catch up with him with her tiny legs. He kept walking fast, not even turning back. Fabiola increased her pace but then her right ankle twisted in the wrong way, causing her to fall.
She let out a loud yelp, holding her ankle tight. Sebastian turned back immediately on hearing her sudden cry.
He wanted to rush to her at first but then paused.
‘What if she’s faking it?’ He asked himself but then shook his head. He’s not taking any chances.
He walked up to her with a frown. Fabiola looked up the moment she saw his shoes.
“Baby.” She said smiling slightly.
“Are you faking this?” He asked looking at her hand on her ankle. Fabiola shook her head, looking at it also. She removed her hand and that area seem slightly swollen and red.
Sebastian sighed, turning around and getting on his knees.
“I’ll carry you.” He said and she frowned.
“I don’t want a piggy ride.” She muttered.
Sebastian turned back and frowned at her.
“Then what do you want?” He asked standing up.
“Carry me Princess style.” She smiled raising her hands up.
Sebastian rubbed the back of his neck in frustration.
“You’ll be the death of me Fabiola.” He said picking her up princess style.
Fabiola smiled, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck. She kissed his hair smiling sadly.
“I’m really sorry I got you mad. I know what I did was childish.” She said watching his face to see his reaction.
“You can’t keep getting into trouble like that. I may not always be around to help you.” Sebastian frowned.
“And where else would you be if not by my side?” She frowned.
“Fabiola I’m serious. You will apologize to Shaun as soon as possible, is that clear?” He said with a serious tone.
Fabiola sighed. She noticed he’s been calling her by her name instead of Sugar and he always does this when he’s really upset.
“I will do that but you have to stop being mad at me. I already said I’m sorry.” She pouted.
“I’m not mad at you. I’m mad at myself for letting you hurt your ankle.” Sebastian said looking down at her.
“I’m still asking myself why I’m not mad at you. You must have bewitched me some how.” Sebastian chuckled and she smiled.
“Where are you taking me exactly?” She asked as she noticed he’s been taking several turns but they haven’t made a final stop.
“The clinic of course.” He said but then stopped walking. He’s been walking here and there with this heavy sister of his but he forgot he hasn’t been to the clinic since he got here which means he doesn’t know where it is or which building it is. He might have even passed it by now.
“What’s wrong?” Fabiola asked when he stopped walking.
“I just remembered I have no idea where the clinic is.” Sebastian sighed. Fabiola burst into laughter, using one of her hand to cover her mouth while the other remained on Sebastian’s neck.
“So where exactly are you talking me baby?” She asked still laughing hard.
“If you keep laughing then I’m going to drop you.” Sebastian warned and she stopped laughing immediately.
He looked around and sighed. The FAMICS apartment isn’t too far from where they were, if not for this heavy bag of cement he’s carrying in the name of his sister, he would have gotten there faster.
“I don’t know why skinny girls tend to be the heaviest these days.” He whined as he began walking in the direction of the FAMICS apartment.
“What are you trying to say? That I’m heavy?” Fabiola frowned.
“I already said it.”
“I will act like I did not hear that because you are carrying me.” Fabiola sighed.
“Where are you taking me anyways since you don’t know the way to the clinic?” She asked.
“To a friend’s place.” He answered dryly and she kept mute till they got to a large building having the symbol of number six.
“What is this place?” Fabiola asked awing at the beautiful sight.
“Famics home or let’s say school home.” Sebastian said walking in till he got to the door. He rang the bell and waited patiently for it to get answered.
Fabiola had a confused look on her face. Natasha had presented the FAMICS to be bad so why will her brother bring her here?
The door opened and a skinny looking lady came out, carrying a straight face. Fabiola glared at her as she didn’t feel at ease with her presence.
“Hi Ivory, I’m so sorry to intrude but I need help getting her ankle treated.” Sebastian said smiling slightly.
Ivory looked at the fragile looking creature Sebastian is carrying and almost glared at her. She’s the same girl that was on him the other day.
“Why didn’t you take her to the clinic?” Ivory asked composing herself.
“Baby, don’t tell me you’re leaving me with her?” Fabiola frowned.
“I’m not going anywhere and Ivory is a good friend of mine.” Sebastian said dropping Fabiola but he didn’t let go of her.
Anna came out to see who rang the bell and smiled upon seeing Sebastian.
“Sebastian! It’s nice to see you again.” She said turning her gaze to Fabiola.
“And who’s this cutie you have here?” Anna smiled at her.
Fabiola smiled back as she felt more comfortable around Anna.
“I like this one. I’ll go with her instead.” Fabiola said limping her way to Anna.
Anna held her waist, placing Fabiola’s arm around her shoulder.
“What happened to you?” She asked as she led her into the house.
Ivory sighed, going into the house as well. Sebastian followed, closing the door behind him.
“How is Swayer?” He asked watching Anna take his sister towards the guest room. The same place he slept that night.
“She is okay.” Ivory replied dryly.
“I didn’t know you have a girlfriend.” She asked stylishly.
Seb looked at her for a while not sure if he should answer or not.
“Is there a problem with that?” He asked instead.
“I never said there is. I have to be somewhere. Make yourself comfortable.” She said walking out of the living room. She came back later with her keys and purse, leaving the house.
Seb smiled to himself, walking towards the guest room. He stood by the open door, watching Anna tend to his sister’s leg. He smiled satisfactory before leaving.
He knew he isn’t suppose to Snoop around since it’s not his place but he couldn’t help it. The place is like a museum with so many beautiful paintings on the wall to see.
He kept moving from one painting to the other, studying the work of art. He didn’t even realized he had left the living room until her got to a door that had a bold music note carved on it. He gently turned the knob and it came open, revealing Maeve with her headphone on.
Sebastian froze upon seeing her. He never knew she’s into music. He’s actually a music lover himself.
“Who knew miss though is actually a softy.” He chuckled entering into the room.
She is working on another piece and he didn’t want to interrupt her so he sat at the far end of the studio after closing the door.
He listened to her beautiful singing and he couldn’t explain what he’s feeling but her voice is so heart melting.
When she was done recording and took off the headphone, he couldn’t stop himself from clapping.
Maeve flinched as she didn’t expect anyone to be here. She turned around and frowned upon seeing Sebastian.
He’s the last person she wants to see right now.
“What the hell are you doing in my house!” She yelled, dropping the headphone on the opposite seat.
“I..I’m really sorry I know I’m intruding.” Sebastian said rasing his hands to her to show he’s here on a good intention.
“Get lost.” Maeve rolled her eyes, turning back to the recorder.
“You have a beautiful voice. I never knew you are into music.” Seb said, coming closer.
“Wh@tëver. No one is going to hear it anyways.” She sighed but then frowned again.
“I told you to leave already.” She said turning back.
He smiled and shook his head.
“Not until you let me hear the record.” He said sitting on the opposite chair.
Maeve opened her mouth to speak but no words came out.
She sighed, picking up the second headphone and handing it over to him.
Seb smiled, taking it from her and placing it on his ears. She pressed a button and the music began playing.
Anna has been looking for Sebastian since she finished bandaging his sister’s ankle. Thankfully it’s nothing serious so it’ll heal in a couple of days.
She told Fabiola to wait in the room after handing her a packet of Kellogg’s cocoa pop and Fabiola was more than glad to wait. She’s such a kid.
Anna decided to start checking rooms, wondering if maybe he’s with Ivory. She passed by Maeve’s studio and just decided to open it.
She froze upon seeing them together.
Maeve never lets anyone hear her songs except Anna so it’s quite shocking to see Sebastian with the headphone. Anna smiled, happy that Maeve is finally loosening up. She brought out her phone, taking a picture of them for memory sake.
She closed the door after that, going back to keep Fabiola company.
Sebastian removed the headphone after listening till the end. He’s carrying a broad smile.
“It’s beautiful Maeve. You sound so angelic.” He smiled and Maeve smiled back at him for the first time.
“Wow! Is that a smile you have on?” Sebastian chuckled.
“What are you saying? That I don’t smile?” Maeve furrowed her brows.
“Well since I’ve known you I haven’t seen you smiling, at least not at me.”
“You don’t know me.” Maeve corrected, standing up from the seat.
“Well I guess I do now..at least a little.” Sebastian said standing as well.
“No one must know about this. My parents would drag my @$$ back home if they find out.” Maeve said carrying a serious expression.
”That’s sad. You sing well. Hey how about a duet?” He asked, going back to the seat.
“What?” Maeve furrowed her brows, also going back.
“I feel like the song needs a male lead as well.” He smiled.
“This isn’t a novel Sebastian.” Maeve frowned.
“There goes that frown again. I think you should smile more. You’re beautiful when you smile.” He said placing the headphone back.
Maeve froze upon hearing his words. They not only shocked her but made her feel butterflies in her tommy. Something she’s never felt even while with Kyle.
She took the headphone placing it on her eyes. She played the beat again, singing her part and when it was Sebastian’s turn, she felt like she’s about to have a heart attack. His voice is just perfect, sugar free and his face when singing is just f*cking hottt.
She kept staring at his lips, the way they moved as he uttered each word. Her heartbeat increased so fast that she was sure if he doesn’t stop, she might pass out.
She immediately removed the headphone, breathing heavily.
Sebastian stopped singing and did the same.
“Are you okay?” He asked feeling worried. She was okay a moment ago so what’s wrong.
Maeve held her chest, not sure what’s wrong with her.
“I..I think you should leave.” She said coldly.
