OBSESSIONS: It All Started With A Bet – Episode 43

CANADA 15:43

The students alighted the bus feeling drained. Miss Diane thanked the bus driver after he helped take out their luggage from the bus. He smiled at her before shutting the doors and driving off.

They all turned towards the narrow path with a slight frown.

“Where exactly are we going?” Kyle asked facing Mr Griffin.

“You’ll see when we get there. Sadly the road is too narrow for vehicles to pass through so we’ll have to Walk the remaining blocks.” Mr Griffin said leading the way.

Miss Diane waited for the students to start moving so she could follow behind but non of them moved. Mr Griffin turned back to see the students at the same spot and gave them a questionable look.

“You really expect us to carry these heavy bags all the way to wherever you’re taking us?” Chrystal frowned. Her bag and Ivory’s were the heaviest as they put in extra of every item.

“It’s just few blocks away. You can do it.” Griffin smiled but they all groaned, standing still.

“Okay let’s put it this way, the first student to arrive with Mr Griffin, gets $200.” Miss Diane said but they all rolled their eyes. Their parents were rich so what is $200?

“Hey Daniero, why aren’t you running? That money can do a lot for you.” Ethan smirked.

“Cut it out you jerk.” Natasha glared at him. Sebastian smiled, ignoring his insult.

Fabiola on the other was no where to be found. Her body was present but her mind had taken a separate vacation.

“Okay I see that didn’t work.” Miss Diane took in her button lip, thinking of ways to persuade these rebellious kids to keep moving.

“I know what can get you going.” Mr Griffin smirked.

Everyone looked up at him including miss Diane.

“Last one to get there gets an F on the upcoming biology practical.” Mr Griffin said running ahead immediately.

Everyone exchanged glances and in the next second, they all took to their heels. Those with lighter loads were taking the lead. Chrystal and Ivory were already out of breath dragging their loads but non gave up. No one wants to fail practical because makeup exams were the worse.

Miss Diane laughed so hard, she almost fell. She was still way behind them, watching them struggle to drag their luggage. Indeed Griffin got them but she knew he was joking about it but since he’s their biology teacher, they would definitely take it to heart. She finally calmed down and started walking gently through the path.

15 MINUTES LATER

All students were on the ground, breathing heavily. Mr Griffin kept laughing at them non stop. Miss Diane finally joined them and on seeing their current condition, she joined Mr Griffin in his laughing syndrome.

“Well would you look at that. We are here.” Miss Diane said, trying so hard to suppress her laugher.

“You said it’s just…just few..few blocks.. blocks away.” Kandle said breathing heavily.

“It is. I wasn’t specific on the amount of blocks now was I?” Mr Griffin smiled, turning around to face the house.

“Alright get your lazy asses off the ground and into this house.” miss Diane instructed and they began standing up one by one with Chrystal being the last to stand up.

“This is where we’ll be staying?” Maeve asked with a broad smile.

“Yes, we didn’t want to get a hotel so we rented this place.” Mr Griffin replied, opening the double door to reveal a massive living room.

“Oh my gosh!!!!!” Ivory screamed. The living room looked like a ballroom with beautiful red sofa’s. The heart shaped chandelier adorned the beautiful ceiling with it’s glittering reflective lights.

The brown bear rug laid at the center of the living room, with which a rectangular glass table was placed. Nothing in this living room is cheap. Starting from the oak door, to the beautiful artistic paintings. The heart shaped light bulb holders, the home theater, the rectangular center table and beautiful sofas with side wooden stools. Just beautiful.

“I’m taking the first room!” Fiona screamed, running up the stairs to get her room and the rest of the girls followed, except Fabiola.

“You’re not gonna choose a room?” Kandle asked her with a smile.

“Any room is okay for me.” She replied carrying her small bag on her shoulder before raising the handle of her box and pulling it along with her. She’s the only one amongst the other girls that actually climbed up with her things. The rest would have to come back to take them.

“This is so cool.” Kandle said to Shaun and Shaun smiled.

“Too bad the ladies were in a hurry and don’t get to see the big surprise.” Mr Griffin smirked and the guys exchanged glances before looking at Mr Griffin.

He lead them to the back door, opening it slowly.

Sebastian’s jaw dropped open seeing the…the beach!!!!

“This is actually a beach house?” Shaun asked with a broad smile. The beach is just few meters away. The house is built a little further away for safety.

Swayer got out of her room as she remembered she had left her things downstairs. She came back to the living room and saw no one there but everyone’s things were still there. She furrowed her brows, wondering where everyone went. She heard some noise coming from the back of the stairs and decided to check it out. She noticed it leads to the back of the house and on getting there, she saw where the guys were with Mr Griffin and miss Diane.

“What’s going on?” She asked coming out of the house. They didn’t answer her, rather they made a way for her to come infront and get her answer by herself.

“A beach!!!” she screamed facing miss Diane.

“Since we usually have a beach party after every victory, we decide to make the travel easier by renting a beach house. That way you’ll be able to stay as long as you want without watching time since your house is near the beach.” Miss Diane explained and Swayer nodded.

“That is if we win.” Kyle said and everyone glared at him.

“You should be confident in your teammates Kyle.” Mr Griffin said.

“I’ll go tell the others!” Swayer said excitedly, running back into the house. She got her things and was about taking it upstairs when someone else entered the living room. She rolled her eyes at him and was about moving when he called her back.

“As you can see I need to get this up to my room.” Swayer said but Sebastian stood in front of her.

“Let me help you.” He said trying to take the box but Swayer slapped his hand off.

“I never said I can’t handle it myself. Just go away before you attack me again with your abusive words.” she glared at him, picking up her box and bag herself. It was heavy but if she could run for 15 minutes with it then she can carry it to her room that’s not even up to a minute walk from where she stood.

“Swayer I’m sorry.” Sebastian said before she could move a muscle.
“I shouldn’t have said those things. I’m a jerk I know and you can go ahead and hit me if you want, I deserve it.” He added standing infront of her again.

“Get out.” She said coldly but he just removed her hold from her bag and box. She snatched her hands back to herself, glaring at him.

“I messed up Swayer. You’ve been nothing but nice to be and I misused that kindness. I’m sorry. Please don’t stay mad at me.” Sebastian said with outmost sincerity.

“I don’t have time for this, just move.” Swayer tried acting like she’s still upset even though he’s first apology already melted her iced anger down. She just didn’t want to seem easy to him. Like a simple apology would fix anything. She wanted to play hard to get this time.

“Swayer we are teammates now and we can’t carry this bad energy to the competition or we’ll definitely lose. Please for the sake of why we are here, let’s just put this aside. Go ahead, hit me or slap me or anything just don’t be mad after you’re done.” He pleaded.

Swayer stared at him for a while and sighed. She walked closer to him, staring at his handsome face and then the next moment, she marked it with her palm.

Sebastian froze, shocked at the sudden slap. He was expecting her to just say she forgives him or hit him but the slap was unexpected and very painful. He restrained himself from putting a hand on his cheek as he wanted to appear strong.

“That’s for saying Sh|t about my dad.” She said slapping his other cheek but this time not as hard as the first one. Sebastian’s face now looked like a ripe tomato.

“And that’s for saying Sh|t about me.” She raised her hand to slap him again but Sebastian caught it this time, pulling her onto his embrace. Her face landed on his hard chest and he wrapped his arm around her small frame, squeezing her a little.

“I know I said you should hit me but I think that’s enough. I’m sorry.” He said rubbing her back gently. Swayer closed her eyes, raising her hands slowly to his waist. She placed them on both side, clutching onto his shirt. The hug was all she needed to finally yield.

“Jerk.” She muttered, hugging him tight.

“I’m sorry.” Sebastian repeated. A smile on his burning face. The slap was really painful but it’s worth it ..she’s worth it.
