? CHAPTER 83?
“I’m sorry Swayer. I’m sorry for trying to ruin your relationship with Sebastian. I know I have no excuse for my actions. I thought I was in love, I thought you were being unfair by dating him but now I realize I was stupid.” Maeve rushed her words.
“Alright, I’ve heard your apology. You can leave now.” Swayer said keeping a straight face.
Maeve widened her eyes as she had expected Swayer to ask her to stay. She glanced at Anna and noticed Anna had a satisfied smile. Do they really h@të her this much?
“But, you want me to leave?” Maeve asked just to be certain.
“You came here to apologize, you’ve done that so you can leave now.” Swayer replied dryly and Fiona furrowed her brows, wondering if she was serious.
“But Sway Sway, she obviously wants to move back in.” Fiona whispered into Swayer’s ear but Swayer payed her no attention.
“I…I’m sorry Swayer. I’m sorry if I broke your trust. I’m sorry if I took our friendship for a joke. I’m sorry girls please, take me back.” Maeve said with wet eyes, staring at them one after the other.
Chrystal had already sat down by now and seeing her tear up, she was beginning to take pity on her. Fabiola didn’t want to say anything as it wasn’t up to her to decide.
Anna on the other hand didn’t seem touched. She hardly h@tës people but once she does, it can’t be easily revoked.
“Why? So you can stab her in the back again?” Anna asked with a hard glare.
“I swear I won’t do it. I won’t do anything so stupid again. I don’t have any friends we except you girls. I can’t go back to being a loner please.” Maeve rushed her words and got on her knees.
That single act moved Chrystal and she finally stood up and faced Swayer.
“Come on Swayer, even I can’t stay mad at her for long. We love Maeve and she’s sorry.” Chrystal said surprising Maeve. She’s the last person Maeve expected to defend her.
Fiona faced Swayer with a pleading look too and Fabiola finally chipped in.
“Please Sway, let things go back to normal.” she said with a slight smile.
Swayer faced Natasha and Natasha bounced her head in approval.
Anna was waiting for Swayer to seek her approval but instead Swayer just dropped her popcorn, stood up and spread out her arms for Maeve.
Maeve got up immediately and hugged her tightly while the rest smiled satisfactory except Anna who had a scowl on her pretty face.
“It’s good to have you back Maeve.” Swayer smiled as they broke the hug. Maeve was already crying at this point, causing the others to stand as well and hug her, except Anna who just stood and left the living room, obviously annoyed.
“I’ll go talk to her.” Swayer said and made to leave but Maeve pulled her back by the hand.
“Let me go.” She said with a slight smile before leaving as well.
“Gosh finally! Peace at last!” Fiona screamed and everyone threw a popcorn at her.
“We should all go on a date tomorrow. I mean it’s Sunday.” Chrystal suggested.
“Where are we going to?” Fabiola asked.
“Definitely not macdonalds.” Natasha scoffed.
“How about my house?” Ivory said with a bright smile. it’s been ages since she visited home and even though Gina isn’t there anymore, it’s still her home and after graduation, she’ll be living there alone.
“Your house?” Natasha furrowed her brows.
“That’s actually a perfect idea. Ivory’s house is like a five star hotel.” Chrystal said as she brought out her phone.
“But how can it be a date if it’s empty? Who will serve the drinks and..”
“That’s not a problem either.” Ivory cut Fiona off. Fiona faced her with a questionable gaze and Ivory smirked before standing from the couch.
“Since Fiona and I are the only single pairs, we will do the cooking and serving.” She said and Fiona almost choked on the popcorn she had put into her mouth.
“I’m sorry what now?” She asked glaring at Ivory.
“It’ll be fun.” Ivory winked at her and Chrystal chuckled.
“I’m taking the fourth floors room.” Chrystal said and Fabiola faced her with widened eyes.
“Wait, fourth floor? Just how many rooms are there?”
“Thirty two.” Ivory replied proudly shocking Fabiola.
“I did tell you her house is like a five star hotel.” Chrystal chuckled.
“But wait, what about your parents? Will they be okay with you hosting a..dinner date?” Fabiola asked with a slight chuckle but everyone was quiet and she began asking herself if she had said something wrong.
They never really talked about their families with her and now they wished they had because then she wouldn’t have asked Ivory such an uncomfortable question.
“Did I say something wrong?” Fabiola furrowed her brows.
Ivory faced her with a slight smile.
“No, you didn’t. I’m actually an orphan you see. My parents died along with my twin brothers when I was little.” She explained and Fabiola widened her eyes.
“Oh my goodness Ivory I’m so sorry. I would never have thought you were a twin.” Fabiola said sadly.
“Oh no I’m not. They were my little brothers.” Ivory said with a sad smile and Fabiola bit her buttom lip, feeling bad that she had made her remember.

Maeve knocked lightly on the door, waiting for an answer. She was rehearsing all she would say to Anna in her head to gain her forgiveness. Knowing the kind of person Anna is, she might not even let her into her room.
The door soon opened and Anna frowned upon seeing Maeve’s face. She wanted to close the door but Maeve placed her foot in between, stopping her.
“Please Anna, hear me out, please.” Maeve begged.
Anna stared at her for a while before walking away from the door and falling onto her bed. Maeve slowly came in and shut the door behind her.
“I know you’re mad at me..”
“Great that’s settled, you can leave now.” Anna cut her off, burying her face in her pillow.
“Anna please don’t be like this. I’m sorry for what I did and I promise I’ll never do it again.” Maeve pleaded, sitting at the edge of the bed.
“Break a glass and you can easily get a new one, cut your arm and it’ll heal, loose your favorite medal and it can easily be replaced but once trust is broken, it can’t be easily fixed or replaced.” Anna muffled before raising her head from the pillow.
“We loved you Maeve, I loved you. Did you know that Kyle had body shamed you on the Slap after your breakup?” Anna asked and Maeve frowned.
“What are you talking about?” She asked feeling perplexed.
“Exactly, you don’t know and you weren’t supposed to know. I had to agree to be gay just to have that post taken down before you could see it. I sacrificed myself, my happiness just so you don’t get hurt!” Anna yelled, hot tears falling down as she remembered Gracie.
“I don’t understand what you’re saying. When did all this happen?” Maeve asked as she couldn’t remember ever seeing Anna with a girl.
“It doesn’t matter now. She’s dead anyways and my purpose of dating her was accomplished. My anger is that after all I did, you still had the gut to stab us in the back. You weren’t even thinking about what it’ll do to our friendship!”
“I’m sorry Anna.” Maeve pleaded. She didn’t like the fact that Anna was in tears. She was already feeling like trash at the moment and seeing Anna’s wet face made her feel even worse.
“Sorry doesn’t fix everything! You went too far and I can’t let that go. I know Swayer was the one who got hurt the most but I can’t just let that go. I need time.” Anna said cleaning her face before laying back on her bed.
Maeve wanted to say more, to beg her but it’s obvious Anna had already ended the discussion. It’s best to leave as not to provoke her any further.
She’ll try her best to earn Anna’s trust back, no matter the cost. She’ll also find out about the twit she had mentioned and deal with Kyle later.
“I will earn back your trust Anna. I swear it.” She said before leaving the room.
Anna shut her eyes briefly before getting up from the bed. She picked up her phone and dialed her mum’s line which wasn’t answered.
“What am I even doing?” She asked herself and fell back on the bed.

Maeve slowly opened the door to her studio and smiled slightly. She always felt at home in this place and is forever grateful they had given her this big room to make her happy.
They always treated her like the last child, always trying to make her happy. Now she knows why Anna is pissed. She really messed up.
“Are you moving back?” Fiona asked and Maeve turned around to see her by the door.
“If you don’t mind.” She replied.
“You messed up Maeve, I just hope you’ve learnt your lesson and as for Anna, she’ll come around.” Fiona said with a slight smile before walking out.
Maeve ruffled her hair slightly. She was beginning to have a migraine just thinking about all she did.
“The things we do for love.” She muttered before shutting the door.
