Mara kept staring at the entrance of the hall waiting patiently for Ryan but he wasn’t coming. She wanted to go see him in his hostel but thought against it
” Is something bothering you?” Claire asked
” I’m fine..” she smiled and Claire nodded slowly
” Is Violet around?” She asked
” Since when did you start caring about her?” Claire asked back
” Just answer..” Mara replied already getting impatient
” Well, I saw Jeffrey and Yixuan earlier so I think she might still be at home” Claire replied
” Her home right? ” Mara asked
” No.. Minister Zhang’s mansion..” Claire rolled her eyes and immediately ” Girls like you ” by maroon 5 started playing
” OMG!! My song !!” Claire stood up, dancing to the music while Mara rolled her eyes
The Students screamed loudly as they danced to the music
Minutes later, the crowd stopped dancing and started staring at the direction of the door

Students murmured as she walked into the hall majestically. No one had seen Ryan yet but he just came out of no where and the girls almost went crazy
” Jeez.. they look good together..” Claire said unware and Mara fumed, curling her fingers into a fist.
Violet smiled at him as she walked to seat with Jeffrey and Yixuan
” Your brother is crazily handsome. I’m jealous seriously, I wonder where he got his handsomeness from. You both look nothing like each other” .. Justin said
” Yeah.. he has always been the cutest among us… that dîçkhead” Remy replied, drinking from his glass
Mrs Chan walk up to stage, drawing the attention of the students
” Woooow.. ” the students cheered immediately they sighted her. She was really beautiful in the oxblood strapless gown she was wearing with her hair falling freely on her shoulders
” Good evening gentle ladies and guys” . she said and the students laughed.

” I guess you’re jealous of her beauty..” he said again and she stood up, walking away from him
She walked to where Ryan was seated and stood in front of him
” Hi.. ” she smiled at him
Ryan didn’t bother to look at her neither was he listening to wh@tëver was going on in the hall right now
” You look good this evening..” she said again but he still didn’t reply
” Do you dislike me that much? Am I not pretty enough?” She asked and he stood up when couldn’t take it anymore
” I hope you have a great party..” he said and walked out of the hall.

Mara blinked back her tears
” Can’t you just choose me? What’s so hard about being with me?” She wondered
Mrs Chan was done talking even though most students didn’t hear her. The few that did, went out on stage to perform
” I never imagined it to be this boring ” Reece said
” That’s because you’re mind isn’t here..” Justin replied, watching the students on stage dance
” That’s it, I’m going home ” Reece stood up. “I already got what I wanted. I don’t need any of this anymore” he added
” Yeah, let’s just go” Remy chipped in
” Aren’t you going home?” Fargo asked
” I’ll just tell my old man I slept at the hostel..”
” Let’s go clubbing then..” Fargo whispered and the rest agreed apart from justin
” What’s wrong?” Reece turned to him
” We aren’t going to any club” Justin said
” Okay, okay, I understand your worries but I promise this one won’t be illegal”. Remy held his shoulder and he nodded before they walked out of the hall too

A lady who seem to be in her 30’s walked into the slightly dark room with her red long dress touching the ground behind her
Her red heels made faint sounds as it hit against the tiled floor
She walked to her seat and two men dressed in suit who looked like bodyguards stood at her sides
” What’s new?” She asked, staring at her perfectly manicured fingers
” He went to the chairman’s mansion already” A voice replied
” Li Xue’s mansion? What for?” The lady asked, pouring herself wine and bringing it close to her nose, inhaling the scent
” To engaged her daughter to Ryan..” the voice replied again and the lady scoff with a smirk
‘ Zhang shao.. after everything you did to me.. you and your dumb@$$ wife. I swear it, I’m gonna make you pay, all of you!!.. ” the lady’s grip around her glass tighten
” Just keep doing your job.. and don’t forget to always give me feed back. I wanna see the end to all this ” she said after a while, sipping from her glass
” Should we harm anyone?” Another voice asked
” Nah, I don’t wanna get revenge by killing ” She laughed and those in the room nodded
She stood up and walked of the building while the guys bowed as she left. Her driver already stood outside waiting for her
” Tom.. let’s go” she said and entered the car and the driver sped off

” I’ll be back Jeffrey” Violet stood up on her feet
” Going somewhere? Feeling uneasy?”Jeffrey asked
” Not really.. I’m just bothered. I will be back” she said and ran out of the hall before Jeffrey could say anything further
‘ I guess she’s going to see him’ he sighed, staring at her direction

” Why are you here?” Ryan asked Violet who has been knocking on his door for a while now
” I..
” I’m giving you the chance to leave here okay? Don’t regret it later” he said and made to close the door but she held it. She pushed it open before entering
” I gave you the chance but you wouldn’t leave. Don’t blame me for doing something stupid later” he said, his hands in his pants pocket
” I’ve been wanting to tell you something too..” he said staring down at her
” What is it you wanna tell me?” She asked staring directly into his eyes
” I.. he trailed off, his gaze moving to her lips
” You what?”
He suddenly pinned her to the wall, caging her with one of his hands
” Nice lipstick you’ve got there ” he said, his eyes turning wistful. She locked gaze with him not bothering to look elsewhere
” Your lips feels lonely, can mine kept them company?”
Not waiting for her reply, he crash his lips on hers, kissing her possessively and passionately which she responded to almost immediately.
His kisses alone was enough to drive her wild. She wrapped her hands around his neck, deepening the kiss.
He nibbled on her lower lips softly and she opened up completely as he delved his tongue into her mouth
Their tongues battled in their mouths, each fighting for dominance
She finally submitted to him and He lifted her up her feet, placing her on the table just beside them, still not breaking the kiss
He broke the kiss after few minutes and stared down at her
“I’m in love with you Violet ” he sighed and her beat increased as she stared at him waiting to hear more of his confession
” You’ve been running through my mind lately. All I want to do is spend my days being with, laughing with you and adoring you” he said and she could already feel her cheeks heating up
