( Being a friend…)
*Vivian POV*
“This place is beautiful”. I say with a wide eyes at the place Alejandro took us to.
“I’ve lived here my whole life and I’ve never seen this place before”. I say looking at the large lake Alejandro parked the car in front of.
“On my way of moving here, I passed by this place and ever since then I couldn’t stop coming here”. He says sitting on the hood of his car as I noticed he was now holding a beer bottle in his hand.
“Want one?”. He asks about to get off his car before I shook my head while sitting down next to him on the car.
“I don’t drink”. I say with a smile as he shrug before laying down on the car looking up at the dark sky.
“So……Vivian. Who are you?”. He asks while drinking his beer as I laid next to him with a sigh.
“To be honest. I’m actually a nobody”. I replied while looking up at the sky.
“I feel you”. He says before sipping his beer as I looked at him confused.
“Like you know, I was a rogue before I came here”. He says playing with his beer bottle as I nod.
“I was always on my own, searching during the days as a human for someone to accept me for who I was while surviving the nights trying not to get killed by people who don’t accept me”. He says looking up at the sky with a clenched jaw as I turn to my side to see the hurt and pain he has on his face.
“I always thought there was going to be a moment where my family will find me and I’ll finally belong somewhere I fit in, but I guess my imagination got ahead of me “. He says now finishing his beer as I sighed before putting my hand on his arm.
“I’m dying to say how sorry I am for all the stuff you went through but I know that’s not going to change anything”. I say trying to find the right words to say to this wolf in front of me that has been through so much before he met me.
“I don’t like when people pity me because of how I grew up, but I will take what I can get from my first ever friend here”. He says nudging my arm with a half smile as I nudged him back while laughing.
“Now tell me about yourself Vivian”. He says throwing his beer bottle in the backseat of his car while grabbing another one from inside his car.
“What did you want to know?”. I ask with a smile as he shrug.
“I’ll do a easy one, What’s your greatest memory you’ve had with anyone outside of your family?”. He asks jumping back unto the hood of the car next to me as I thought it over.
“Well, when I was like in 8th grade, I went to winter formal with my best friend and that night was the first time I meant something to someone”. I say smiling at the thought of me in 8th grade.
“What do you mean?”. He asks turning to me while opening his beer.
“I had my first kiss”. I say with a blush as he looks at me with a smirk.
“Who was it with? Your mate?”. He asks while wiggling his eyebrows and nudging my arms as I laughed before shaking my head.
“If only the moon goddess read minds then he probably would have been “. I say with a short chuckle while feeling al the sad emotions come back into my head thinking about the wolf that gave me my first kiss.
“Ex crush?”. He asks looking at me with a raised brow as I sighed.
“Ex crush, ex bestfriend and ex friend for my everything”. I say with a frown as he looked at me confused.
“First for everything, as in everything?”. he ask trying to understand what I was referring to before I laughed and say.
“Mmm…. Not quite everything but I really thought he was going to be the one, my mate “. I say rolling my eyes before Alejandro laughed making me glare at him.
“It’s not funny okay, I literally planned out our future together since we were kids”. I say defeatedly as he roll his eyes before patting my head like a child.
“Now I see the reason why it’s easier for men to cheat than women”. He says sitting up as I did thesame.
“You guys overreact to everything, we smile at you one day, you think we’re going to be together forever. We hug you, you think we’re going to be married the next. We take care of your little siblings greatly, and you think we want babies with you already “. He says before I slapped his arm.
“Fuçk off, Ale”. I say with a groan while laying down again as he looked at me with a smirk.
“What?”. I ask looking up at him confused.
“Nothing, I was just thinking about how we’re getting closer now with you giving me a nickname and all”. He says laying next to me as I laughed.
“Well you’re nice, and my mom always said that I should always treat people the way they treat me”. I say while letting out a sigh as he stares at me with a raised brow.
“Your mom must be a great mother”. He says drinking his beer again before I grabbed it out of his hand.
“You do know that this can damage your liver”. I say moving it out of his reach as he roll his eyes.
“What are you? A doctor?”. He asks trying to grab it as I laughed.
“Nope, am just a worried friend”. I say throwing it on the floor as the bottle shattered.
“I thought you’d be more defensive than that”. I say turning to see him staring at me emotionless.
“Are you ok-“. before I finished my question I was engulfed into a hug.
“Your starting to creep me out Ale, What’s wrong?”. I ask as he slowly pulls away before staring at me intensely.
“Thank you”. He says as I looked at him confused.
“For what?”. I ask as I noticed he was deep in thought.
“For being a friend.” He replied before letting me go as I shrugged.
“Well thanks for letting me be a friend”. I say smiling at him before a sound of a car caught us both off guard.
“Who’s that?”. Alejandro asks turning to the familiar car I’ve seen before.
“Wait”. I say gesturing him to sit still as I walked towards the car that just parked across from Alejandro’s car.
“Vivian!”. John shouts while getting out of his car as I looked at him confused.
“What are you doing here?”. I ask confused while seeing him run up to me with a worried look.
“Are you okay?”. He asks while engulfing me into his arms as I stood still confused before seeing his two friends from school gets out of the car behind him.
“Get in the car, I will be there in a while”. He says glaring at the person behind me while pulling me towards his car.
“What’s wrong?”. I ask confused while seeing his friends walks towards us while staring at Alejandro who was confused as me.
“Get in the car now, I will take care of him”. John says as his friends pulled me away from my angry mate glaring at Alejandro.
“What?!”. Where are taking me?!”. I snapped trying to pull away from them when I noticed John was walking towards Alejandro angrily.
“No!”. I shout pushing the guys away before running past John to stand in front of a confused Alejandro.
“Don’t hurt him!”. I snapped while standing between the two large wolves glaring at each other.
