*John’s POV*
“You found your mate!?”. Ethan shouts with a gasp as I rolled my eyes seeing people pass by us in the hallway giving us a weird looks.
“Who is she? Is she hot?”. Christian asks with a smirk as I closed my locker and walked with them.
“Her name is Vivian”. I replied as they looked at me confused.
“Vivian? There’s a Vivian at this school?” Ethan says before I slapped his arm.
“Yes, and she’s my mate”. I say with a smile seeing his face still confused.
“Not to sound like a dumbass but I’ve never seen or heard of a girl named Vivian at this school”. Christian says as we walked into the cafeteria full of students.
“Yeah, if your so called mate goes to this school, then how comes we’ve never heard of her?”. Ethan asks as the scent of my mate hit my nose.
“Why don’t you guys see her yourselves?”. I say with a raised brow before following the wonderful scent.
“Where are you going?”. Ethan asks as I walked to the other side of the cafeteria seeing someone hiding behind a book at the corner of the cafeteria.
“Vivian”. I say with a smile as Ethan and Christian looked at the hiding figure confusedly.
“Please leave me alone”. I hear a familiar voice say as Ethan looks at me with a shrug.
“You’re the famous Vivian that got my boy under a spell?”. Christian asks sitting next to her as she moved away.
“How comes we’ve never seen you anywhere before?”. Ethan asks sitting on the other side of her.
“Vivian.” I say sitting in front of her now as she puts her book down with a groan.
“What do you want?”. She asks with a frown as I smile seeing her long brown bangs cover her perfect cute face.
“I just wanna be with my mate”. I say a grin as she sigh.
“Well, am right here and am fine. Now if you don’t mind, am trying to finish my book in peace”. She says before hiding behind her book again.
“Can you guys stop breathing over my neck?”. She says glaring at Ethan and Christian as they smirked.
“She’s a feisty one, John. It’s like you two were really made for each other”. Ethan says with a chuckle before she groaned loudly.
“Oh my gosh.” She snapped getting up and walking away before I grabbed her arm quickly.
“Wait! I’m sorry for this two. I just wanted to get to know you”. I pleaded trying to make her stop as I noticed her face was turning red seeing everyone’s eyes on us.
“Can we do this somewhere else than here?”. She asks looking away as I smiled before leading her outside of the cafeteria to the place I like to go for some privacy.
“Where are you taking me?”. She asks with a worried look before I opened the door that leads to the roof of the school.
“Woah” She gasp as we walked out onto the roof hand in hand.
“Are we allowed up here?”. She asks with a confused look as I chuckled.
“If you’re the little brother of the Alpha King’s wife, who cares?”. I say with a shrug as she tensed up next to me.
“Wait”. She says pulling her hand away from mine as I frowned.
“Your the wolf with royal blood here?”. She says with a gasp as I shrugged.
“Yes, so?”. I asked with a raised brow as she shook her head before walking away.
“Wait! Where are you going?”. I ask grabbing her arm again as she tried to pull away.
“Stop! Just leave me alone”. She says trying to reach for the door we just came from.
“Why?”. I ask trying to stop her as she cried out in pain, making me stop.
“Just stay away from me, it’s better that way”. She says holding her arm that was slowly turning pink before rushing off past the door that leads to the roof.
“Fuçk”. I shouted punching the door before sliding down against it with a sigh.
Why did I hurt her!? Fuçking Sh|t! Now she’s gonna reject me as a mate.

*Vivian’s POV*
“You don’t want a mate?”. My mom asks confusedly as we were dining with my brother who was staring at his phone.
“I mean, you raised us both without a mate. I think I can handle it”. I say eating slowly as she groans.
“The only reason I raised you two without a mate was because my mate died protecting us. It took a lot of pain and suffering to live without my mate, Vivian. The feeling of having someone there isn’t going to happen the way humans have it. Our mate is usually once in a lifetime. So think about having to go through all that pain of rejecting your mate cuz it’ll hurt more than losing him the way I did”. My mother replied smiling at me as I sighed while nodding.
“Your mate isn’t one of the weak wolves I’ve met. What’s his position?”. My brother ask putting away his phone to eat as I avoided both of their staring eyes.
“He’s the Alpha King’s brother in law”. I say quickly hearing both of them drop their utensils.
“He’s of royal blood!?”. My mother gasped as I groaned hearing them now ask me bunch of questions.
“Why do wanna reject a royal bloodline!?”.
“He’s a Fuçking royal wolf!?”.
“Why didn’t you say that before!?”.
“Did you reject him the night I went to pick you up!?”.
“What does he look like!?”.
“Is he handsome like his brother in law!?”.
“Mom”. I shouted hearing her questions, seeing her smirk.
“What!? The Alpha King is a fine man”. She says eating with a sly grin as I rolled my eyes.
“No wonder I felt his strong aura when he got close to me the night I went to pick you up”. Damien says with a scoff.
“Honey, Why would you want to reject him?”. My mom asked looking at me confused.
“Well first off, he’s like the most popular guy in school which means all the girl like him. Secondly, he’s probably gonna leave me for one of the pretty cheerleaders that likes him anyway.
So what’s the use of trying to like him if he’s just going to get bored and leave”. I say with a frown before my mom grabs my hand soothing it lightly.
“If he does, I will kill him. Royal blood or not”. Damien says chewing his food violently as I chuckled.
“Your a beautiful young woman Vivian. Your not boring, okay? If he loves you as much as I think he does, then your love for each other will overcome the feeling of loving anyone else”. My mom says kissing my forehead as I shrugged before getting up with my empty plate to wash it.
“Am not saying to jump into his arm all of a sudden baby. Just give him a chance to see the real you. And maybe the outcome of your relationship will be forever lasting”. She says from the table as I wash my plate in deep thought.
Should I give him a chance? Or will it be another embarrassing heartbreak waiting to happen?.
