CHAPTER 26&27.
Jeffery’s eyes then moved to see Vikita standing by the door.
“Did she hear anything?” He thought.
“How long have you been standing there?” He asked with a shaky smile.
“Just now” She replied, she had a towel wrapped around her chest.
She walked up to him and crossed her hands on his neck.
“I am afraid of going back home, he might kill me for spending the night outside the house” Vikita said with a deep sigh.
“He won’t hurt you again, you should take a bold step and divorce him” Jeffery replied and she smiled.
“Divorcing him would be a good idea, that’s if he doesn’t kill me before I even mention it” Vikita jokes.
Jeffery placed his hands on the back of her waist.
“You don’t want to go home, you want to spend more time with me? ” Jeffery asked and tugged strands of her wet and sticky hair behind her ear.
“Maybe” Vikita said, she loved the idea.
“But you can’t stay here forever, you will have to return at one time” Jeffery reminded.
“I understand but a little time of pleasure would be a good choice for now before deciding to return there” Vikita said and he kissed her lips.
“Breakfast with crabs,” Jeffery suggested.
“No way, I h@të crabs,” Vikita chuckled.
“Instead why don’t I tell you more about myself and my kids while I make some tasty American spaghetti and sauce” Vikita said raising her eyebrows.
“Hmmm, sounds like a great idea” He smiled and turned her behind and wrapped his hands around her waist.
As they strode to the kitchen.
Vikita looked around and checked the kitchen cupboards for the food items, Jeffery left the kitchen and came back with a robe.
“Wear this” Jeffery said and she collected the purple robe.
“Is this yours?” Vikita chuckled.
“No, it’s for Nova” He replied.
Vikita wore the robe on the towel.
” Let’s begin “Vikita smiled and put some water in the pot and placed it on the cooker, she turned it on.
Jeffery stared at her and smiled.
” Your stare is distracting me”Vikita said and he shifted his gaze from her.
“When I was pregnant with Rhett, I h@tëd it, I didn’t want to have a baby, I wanted to finish school like the rest of my friends but later being pregnant was cool for me, carrying someone else inside me” Vikita said and put the spaghetti in the pot and added a pinch of salt.
“We did a court wedding, not a large celebration, I found out he already had a son who was six years old, his name is Marcello, I didn’t like the kid when I got to the house, he was always quiet staring at me like I was an intruder but then I became close to him and we had a great relationship “Vikita explained and covered the pot with its lid.
” So he is your stepson “Jeffery replied and she nodded.
” He refused to call me mummy though, he always calls me Vikita, when I had Rhett and they both grew up to a certain stage, he started seeing Rhett as a rival and one day they were playing on the terres and he pushed Rhett off it” Vikita said and Jeffery gasped.
“Then what happened?”He asked curiously and she faced him.
” Rhett became paralysed, he could not walk, the fall affected his spine “Vikita replied, he was eager to hear more.
” I guess you killed your step son “Jeffery said and she laughed.
” Of course not, I didn’t, I just waved it off, I saw them as kids and I didn’t want any h@të between them. Rhett stayed in the wheelchair for about six months before he had a successful surgery, he still had to learn how to walk for a while” Vikita said smiling.
“Marcello is like a son to me, I love him a lot just like Rhett, I saw him as a poor kid who lost his mom and I was his only refuge” She muttered and took a jar of tomato sauce.
“I haven’t told you about my girls, they are twins, Roxana and Rosa, actually they are the opposite of each other” Vikita chuckled.
“One is good and the other is evil,” Jeffery added.
“Yeah, Rosa is a bit sinister while Roxana is an angel, but they are both my daughters anyways” Vikita said darting her eyebrows.
“Thank you for helping my mom,” Jeffery said.
“I hope that really comes from your heart” Vikita uttered, giving him a strange stare.
“I don’t understand” Jeffery uttered gazing into her eyes but her face was expressionless.
Vikita smiled a little and continued with the cooking.
“Did she hear my conversation with Eva?” he asked himself inwardly.

Seoul high school **
“Axel enough of you stalking me” Roxana yelled but he grabbed her arms.
“Listen to me, I know I accepted the deal with Rosa but I swear I like you a lot, Ro, I truly like you” Axel said sincerely.
She sort of saw sincerity in his eyes but she won’t fall for his tricks twice.
“Thanks for liking me, I like everyone in school too, it’s not special, Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, you won’t deceive me twice, Axel” Roxana snarled and shoved off his hands.
“We are just classmates, nothing more, nothing less” Roxana said sternly.
“Go back to Rosa, leave this foolish girl alone” Roxana turned back and walked away.
Axel stood there like a dummy.
Roxana walked away and mistakingly bumped into someone and both of them rolled over the little stairs, he landed on the last step with Roxana on top of him.
Roxana closed her eyes in fright, her hands were on the firm chest, she slowly opened her eyes and was stunned.
He has such a handsome face, such pink lips, pointy nose, beautiful eyes, she couldn’t take her eyes off his face, his hands were still on her waist.
“Are you okay?” He asked and she recovered herself from her thoughts.
“Yes, I am fine” Roxana replied and stood up from him.
“Are you hurt in any way?” He asked, touching her arms.
“I am fine.. and… you” Roxana stuttered.
“Thankfully I didn’t break my neck” He said funnily.
Roxana smiled.
“What’s your name?” He asked.
“Roxana Alessandro” She replied.
“Nice to meet you, Ivan is my name,” Ivan said.
“Ivan , nice name,” Roxana muttered.
“Yeah thanks, I am looking for the administrator’s department” Ivan said and Roxana smiled.
“Let me take you there, ” Roxana proposed.
“Thanks” He chuckled.
She led the way and he walked behind her.
