“Muah” Rowen pecked Darren after grabbing his suitcase.
Lucy pouted sadly.
“Someone is jealous” He smirked and went to her.
“You aren’t married to Darren, you know” She rolled her eyes, jokingly.
“I know right…” He chuckled and pecked her lips. She smiled, instantly.
“That feels like it” Sh looked at him, with her smiling face.
“See you tonight after work” He smiled back at her.
“Sure” She nodded.
“Won’t you be going to the hospital today?” Rowen glanced at the huge clock close to the door.
“I’ve not completed this game level yet” Lucy said, quickly.
“Maybe, when I’m done…I’ll go to work” She added.
She was playing games with the pad which was attached to the TV. She was playing tennis now and she seemed really serious with it.
He laughed.
“You and games though. Why not work at my gaming company then?” He joked.
“Should I?” She raised her brows.

“Rowen! You haven’t answered my questions. Should I?” She asked.
“Sho…Should you?” He asked in quite a stutter.
She blinked her eyes.
“I said,,, Should I start working at your company?? Should I drop my resignation letter and apply in your company. I’ve lots of ideas, you know”
“Hmmmm” Rowen pouted and gently pulled her soft cheeks.
“Wearing laboratory coats fits you better than being on casual clothes. Has anyone told you that?” He asked.
Lucy laughed.
“You’re the first”
“I’m glad I am. Anyways, See you tonight. Bye” Rowen waved.
“Bye” She chuckled and watched him leave.
“He left without giving me?” She muttered and dropped the pad down.
Her smile faded off at once.
“What’s that, mum?” 5 year old Darren asked.
Lucy smiled and shook her head.
“Nothing son. Keep on eating. I wanna check on something”
Darren nodded and left. He wasn’t going to school and he was quite happy. His temperature was quite high so his parents suggested he followed mum to the hospital.

Lucy entered the bedroom and opened Rowen’s wardrobe.
She took out a huge briefcase and kept it on the bed.
Carefully and slowly, she unlocked and unzipped it but she didn’t see what she was looking for.
Last night, when she was in the bathroom, she peeped mistakenly out of the door, and saw her husband keeping something in there.
When her husband went down for dinner, she quickly took out the briefcase and when she opened it,,, she saw 2 small cute diamond rings in a jewelry box.
But now, It wasn’t there. It was weird and she was actually happy, thinking he wanted to give it to her as a lover’s fhingy gift or so.
“What’s this? Its confusing” She muttered to herself.
“Oh wait…My game” She widened her eyes, kept the briefcase back in and ran back to the sitting room.

LUCY’S OFFICE**
Lucy was on her computer while her son sat close to her eating from a cookie pack.
A knock was suddenly heard and the both of them faced the door.
“Come in” Lucy said.
A nurse walked in, smiling.
“Ma? You’ve a patient still waiting”
“Oh…Okay. Bring him or her in”
The nurse nodded and walked out and immediately she did, Lucy held her forehead and eyes.
“Mum?? Are you tired?” Darren asked.
Lucy looked at him with a smile, and shook her head.
“If dad were here, He would have massaged you” Darren smiled, patting her shoulder.
“I know right” Lucy chuckled and brought out a can of medicine pills.
“Mum? What medicine is this?” He asked.
“Uhmm…Its for strength. I guess you’re right. I’m quite tired” She smiled and patted his hair.
She was about to open the can, so as to take the drug, but the door suddenly opened, and she hurriedly kept the can on her thighs.
The desk covered it
“She’s here” The nurse uttered and a young lady with lady with light brown hair walked in. She was really pretty too.
“Here’s her file” The nurse dropped a file on the desk.
“Okay. You can go” Lucy said and the nurse left.
“Have a seat” Lucy smiled and the woman smiled back.
“Tasha Luke?” Lucy looked up, from the file.
“That’s me” Tasha smiled.
“Why are you here, today?” Lucy asked.
Tasha sighed.
“I’m having strange symptoms” She muttered.
“Like?” Lucy eyes blinked.
“I…vomit frequently. I also get fatigue. I’m really picky nowadays. I get nauseous- Tasha paused when she saw Lucy was studying her from head to toe.
“Excuse me but what are you-
“When last did you see your period?” Lucy cut in.
“I…didn’t see it this month, actually/ Tasha replied, softly.
“I’ll conduct a test on you” Lucy said with raised brows.
Tasha nodded.
Something made a loud thud and Tasha looked down. She saw a can of pills and showed it to Lucy.
Lucy quickly yanked it away from her.
“Is that yours?” Tasha asked.
Lucy didn’t respond.
“It can only be yours, right?” Tasha asked again.
Lucy inhaled.
“Let’s take your test now”
“My grandma uses that too. I think I have a clue what it does” Tasha suddenly said, making Lucy stay numb.
Lucy swallowed hard and faced Darren who was watching them.
“Darren? Go to some empty ward and rest, okay?” Lucy forced a smile.
Darren nodded, jumped down from the chair and left. written by sommy pearl f.
Lucy looked at Tasha quickly.
“Let’s get down to business, Tasha Luke”

“Congratulations, You’re 7 weeks pregnant” Lucy smiled, giving her the result sheet.
A smile spread on Tasha’s small lips.
“I guess your husband will be happy, likewise” Lucy said.
Tasha looked at her and chuckled softly.
“I’m not married”
“Huh?” Lucy muttered, and titled her head a bit.
Tasha smiled and rubbed her flat stomach.
“I’m actually pregnant for my boyfriend” She whispered.
“Oh…” Lucy said, softly.
“He actually just proposed to me” Tasha whispered and showed her a small diamond ring which was on her third finger, at her right hand.
Lucy eyes blinked roughly when she saw the very familiar ring.
“You wanna know a secret?” She whispered and Lucy looked at her.
“My boyfriend is a CEO…and I’m his secretary” She didn’t stop whispering.
Lucy sighed in relief.
“I was wrong. My lovable perfect husband wouldn’t get a mistress. Besides, Mr Tony is his secretary” She thought.
“Oh,,,, He’s calling right now” Tasha giggled and took out her buzzing phone.
“Hello baby!!” Tasha gushed.
“Sweetheart” A familiar voice sounded from the phone and Lucy quickly looked up.
Tasha wore a bright smile.
“I’ve a good news for us”
“Really??” The voice sounded again.
“Yes! It a big one…”
Lucy gulped.
“It can’t be right?” She trembled.
She slowly took out her phone and dialed Rowen’s number. Her eyes looked at Tasha who was still talking and smiling.
“I’m sorry but this caller is busy with another call. Please,,, try again later…” Lucy heard the service line say, instead and the phone fell down from her hand, involuntarily.
