CHAPTER 4.

(Conspiracy)
Jack was too shocked to speak again. Why was he always given something to fight over when it came to Jax?
“Jax, what’s wrong with you?” Gabriella asked.
“Are you sleepwalking? But you were awake a few minutes ago?” Gabriella asked in confusion.
Jack simply stared at her, not saying a word.
Gabriella pouted and rushed to him. She grabbed his hand and pulled him to the bathroom. Jack didn’t say anything but followed her.
“Look, I took my bath but when I came back here, the water stopped working,” Gabriella said.
“Help me,” She added.
Jack stared at her but didn’t say anything.
“Why are you being so silent? You’re always a talkative,” Gabriella said, staring intensely at him.
She grabbed his arm and showed him where the fault was.
“Jax!”
“Alright, I will help you,” Jack replied, having same voice as Jax.
Gabriella nodded and watched as he did everything carefully. She stared at him and noticed how strange he was acting.
“Done,” Jack said as he turned on the sink and the water began running.
“Thanks,” Gabriella said with a smile.
Jack gazed at her, having the urge to do something stupid. His wolf wasn’t helping at all.
‘Is this how it feels to have a mate?’ He asked himself as his heart raced in his chest.
Gabriella was about to walk to sink but she suddenly slipped. But as she was about to hit the ground, Jack grabbed her waist and pulled her to himself.
She gasped and smiled.
“Wow, that was fast,”
“Are you okay?” Gabriella looked at him, wondering when Jax began caring about her.
“I’m okay,” She smiled a bit and he removed his hand from her waist.
“I’ll get going,” Jack said and quickly left from there.
Gabriella smiled; “So, he has a nice side to him.”

The next day, Gabriella met with Jax’s parents who returned from a trip with Jax, who left yesterday and only returned in the morning.
“This is my father,” Jax introduced, pointing at Mr Black.
“This is my step mother, Echo,”
Gabriella stared at Echo and noticed how beautiful she was, she also looked kind but Jax’s father looked unfriendly.
“Good afternoon and welcome back home,” Gabriella greeted them, feeling a little nervous.
“Where did you get this piece of trash from?” Mr Black asked in disdain.
“She’s my mate and carrying my child,” Jax replied.
“Child? A bastard!”
Gabriella wasn’t liking his tone.
“Old man! My child isn’t a bastard. Watch your mouth,” She glared at him.
Mr. Black gasped.
“Not only is she a piece of trash but she’s disrespectful as well!. I can’t believe the moon goddess would be so reckless to mate with such a low life!”
Gabriella was feeling bad as she listened to his words.
“Whats the problem with being a low life? It’s better than being old without any sense!” She eyed him.
“What did you just say!”
“Honey, calm down,” Echo tried intervening.
“You better keep quiet!” He shunned her. “How can a human be your mate and you dare bring her here? Isn’t May a good choice? Couldn’t you have gotten her pregnant!”
Jax stared at his father, without uttering a word. He didn’t really like how his father was insulting Gabriella but he couldn’t say anything.
His father had promised to take the Alpha title from him, if he didn’t marry May. If he showed any opposition and support Gabriella then he would lose everything, just like his twin brother.
He stared at Gabriella and saw tears in her eyes. He felt somehow but pushed back his wolf. No emotions, no feelings. He should care less if she died.
“Whats the problem with being human? At least, I’m not a dog! I guess you people eat shît, right?” She insulted, not holding back.
“I told you that we aren’t dogs, why can’t you take corrections!” Jax raised his voice at her.
“Don’t yell at me! How can you watch him insulting me and not even say anything in my defense!” Gabriella yelled.
She faced Mr. Black yelled.
“I don’t care who your son marries but don’t insult me again,”
She stormed out of the place but Jax swiftly followed her.
He grabbed her arm and pulled her to himself.
“This attitude will get you nowhere, you should be trying to get on his good side!” Jax said, knowing his father well.
“Good side my foot!” She yelled.
“I was thinking that you were getting nice but I guess that you will never change! You don’t care if anyone gets hurt, you’re just a selfish and coldhearted beast!” She yelled, thinking about how Jack held in the bathroom.
“Just shut up, okay!” Jax yelled, losing his temper.
She didn’t know him well, she had no right to judge him.
“Why should I?”
“Anyways, what do I expect from someone that killed his own mother!”
Jax’s eyes darkened and he grabbed her neck, slamming her so hard against the wall.
Gabriella’s eyes soaked with tears as he choked her.
“How about I kill you now?” He growled in her face, his fangs scarily protruding from his mouth.
She shivered terribly, she had never been so afraid in her life.
“Why aren’t you talking!” He growled.
Gabriella cried harder as he dug his claws into the sides of her neck.
“If you dare open your dirty mouth again! That will be the last day, you use your tongue, is that clear!”
“Y-Yes,” Gabriella cried heavily.
He released her neck and pushed her to the floor before walking away.
Gabriella held her bleeding neck and cried terribly..

The hood.
“Isn’t that too terrible?” Hunter asked Isla.
They were arguing about something.
“Do you still love her?” Isla asked.
“No but she’s human!”
“And so what!” Isla asked greedily. “As far as we will get million of dollars, it doesn’t matter!”
Hunter heard millions and he became more greedy than ever.
“Alright, I will call her.” Hunter dialed Gabriella’s number and surprisingly, she picked immediately.
‘Gabby, how are you?’ Hunter asked
‘I’m not fine,’ Gabriella cried over the phone. ‘I’m…not!’ She hiccuped, crying harder.
‘Do you wanna come home?’ Hunter asked, smirking with Isla.
‘Yes, I don’t want to stay here anymore,’ Gabriella cried.
‘I don’t…want to,’
