Ben stared at the small calendar in his hands and smile sullenly
“Two days left,I really wondered how gruesome my death will be” he muttered with a sigh
” It’s all because of your dad! All because of you! He muttered in tears as his mind drifted back to the past

Ben enter his dad house with smile on his face
Getting inside,he met Mr Timberlake at the living room watching TV
“Am home”he announced

” No dad, none of such” he replied

Mr Timberlake stands up from his seat and walk to where Ben was standing
In a blink, his palm made a contact with Ben’s face
“Dad” he called in shock
” You are fool! Aren’t you tired of being Jake’s shadow, you’ve been a trainee at the industry for 3 years but never got an endorsement, Jake is not up to three months he is already a global ambassador for three different brands and stupid you is happy for him! He asked angrily
“Dad I never wanted to become a model, you forced me into it! My dream was too become a popular rapper! He shouted at Mr Timberlake
” How dare you raise your voice at me??? Mr Timberlake yelled slapping him again on his face
His lips bleed at once
” I really wondered when you will be smart, I guess it is until Jake takes everything away from you” Mr Timberlake said and left

“Good morning Mom” Hansel greeted as he walked into the dinning room,he was already dressed up in his uniform
” Good morning baby” Hazel pecked his cheek before serving him his breakfast
“Your night? She asked
” Awesome” he replied with mouthful and Hazel smile
Few minutes later, he was done
He carried his school bag while his guard which was hired for him picked his lunch box
“Bye mummy” he waved as he was leaving

“Say Hi to Dad when he comes downstairs” she heard his Loud voice from outside
“Ok I’ll” she shouted back with a smile
Jake came downstairs coughing heavily
” You caught a flu? She asked and he shake his head
“No,my throat hurts and itchy a lot” he replied
“What’s wrong? Why are you staring at me like that? He asked noticing that Hazel lingering eyes on his face
” You are bleeding” she replied
“Bleeding? Where? He asked
“Your nose” she replied and he touch his nose
“What the hell” he cursed seeing blood
Suddenly his throat started itching more and he began to cough more harshly than before
“Jake are you okay? She asked in panic
Jake couldn’t reply
The coughing became muffled when he started bleeding from the lips as well
“Jake” Hazel called in shock as Jake staggered back as dizziness hit him
” I feel weak” he muttered bleeding more from the nose
“Don’t pass out please” she begged in tears holding him by his arms
“Guards! Guards!! She shouted and six different guards rushed in
Their eyes widened seeing the condition Jake is in

~ ST LOUIS HOSPITAL~
Hazel paced round the OPD as the doctor was busy attending to Jake inside
The first lady appeared with the president, Vincent, Amy and Stanley
“Hazel? How is Jake? The first lady asked immediately
” ICU, the doctor is attending to him” she replied crying softly
” What really happened? The president asked and Hazel begins to explain everything to them
“OMG! The first lady gasped in shock
Amy pulled Hazel into hug
” He will be fine” she patted Hazel’s back
~ 3 HOURS LATER~
The ICU door open and the doctor came out
They all rush to him
“Doctor how is he? Hazel asked immediately
” I think the first lady and the president should follow me to my office for the explanation” the doctor replied
“No say all you want to say here, none of them are strangers to my son” the president ordered
“Ok Your Excellency! The doctor replied
” The test carried out on Mr Jake revealed that
“So what’s the results? Vincent asked and the doctor sigh before replying
” He is battling with lung cancer” he drop the bombshell and everywhere became deadly silent
” Lung.. cancer? Hazel stuttered in disbelief
“The hard drugs he takes into his body is much that his immune system has weaken to its fullest, his chances of surviving for a long time is highly low” the doctor completed and the first lady passed out.
