Episode 12
Eddie and Jocelyn laid on their backs on the sand, their faces up against the sky. They had just finished eating the homade cookies and chips they came with and were sipping their soda as they laid in each other’s arms.
“It’s so nice here, don’t you think?” Eddie asked, massaging her hair.
Jocelyn breathed in the salty smell of air before replying. “You can say that again. It’s nothing like what I’ve seen so far. I’ve never gone out like this with the man I love. Thank you for making this come up pass.” Jocelyn said staring into Eddie’s face.
Eddie smiled and only hugged her. If only she knew it was the same for him. It was the first time he was feeling so complete.

The latest couple left the garden after a good time together, chatting happily as they walked back to the car.
The security man helped them load the truck with their stuff and was paid before heading back.
The couple got into the car and hit the road.
“Today was great. All thanks to you.” Jocelyn said as she adjusted her seatbelt.
Eddie smiled, keeping his face on the road. “Me too Jocelyn. I’ve never had so much fun.”
Suddenly, there was a car in front of them, stoping them from moving into the main road.
Eddie stopped his engine, wondering who was blocking his part.
“Who’s the hell is that?” Jocelyn asked.
“I wish I knew.” Eddie replied as he stared intently at the car. The car door suddenly opened and Adam stepped out from the back seat.
There was another car behind and some men started trooping out, lining up beside Adam.
Eddie frowned deeply and made to get out of the car but Jocelyn quickly grabbed his arm. He turned to look at her.
Jocelyn shook her head, fearfully. “Please….. don’t go out. Please.” She pleaded, almost in tears.
“Eddie cupped her face between his palms. “This is public, angel. He’s not gonna do anything to me. I’m a man and I can stand up to him.” Eddie whispered softly, calming her down.
“That man is sick in the head. He will try to do anything to have me back.” Jocelyn insisted. “Sit right here in the car. I will call my dad to get the police.”
“No, Jocelyn. I don’t wanna look like a coward. Stay right here in the car. I will go face him.” Eddie insisted.
“But….” Jocelyn started to argue but was cut short by a snuggling kiss from Eddie. She went weak and watched him climb out of the car.
Adam stared arrogantly at Eddie as he approached him. He scoffed and moved forward. “You’ve really got the nerves, baby doc. You have the nerves to take my bride out on a date. How dare you? Do you even know whom you are dealing with?” Adam asked, stopping in front of Eddie.
“I don’t know who I’m dealing with and I don’t wish to know.” Eddie replied , staring back into Adam’s face with unspeakable boldness.
Adam scoffed and looked at his boys. “Aren’t you scared of what these men might do to you? They are here to beat you up for daring to go out with my girl.”
Eddie laughed. “Here to beat me? Here? Like….right here? Never knew you could be so dumb. Now let me give you a suggestion. When next you wanna double cross me, do it in a secluded place; somewhere no one will be able to separate me from beating you up.” Eddie whispered and Adam’s eyes widened with anger.
“How dare you!” He yelled and raised his hand in the air.
“Stop!” Jocelyn yelled from behind.
Adam’s hand dropped back beside him then glared at her. “Finally, you came out.”
Eddie turned to look at Jocelyn. “I told you to stay right in the car.”
Jocelyn walked closer to him. “I couldn’t stand back and watch him hit you. I’ve called the police and they are on their way.”
Adam laughed. “You called the police? To arrest me? Wow. You’ve grown so much wing, isn’t it? I will promise you one thing, Jocelyn baby. I will get you back. I will take what’s rightfully mine from this criminal. Just wait and see.” Adam said and moved backwards. “Let’s go guys. Let’s leave this fight for another day.”
Eddie watched them get back into the cars and zoomed off. He sighed and turned to look at Jocelyn. “Hey…. cheer up. They are gone now.”
Jocelyn shook her head and wrapped her arms around her chest. “I don’t know how I’m gonna get rid of him. He’s a pest in my life.”
“I’m here now. He’s not going to arm you.” Eddie said and hugged her.
They both returned to the car and drove off.

“I’m not gonna take it lightly with him next time he tries such a thing. What the hell is wrong with him?” Jocelyn fumed as she walked round her room.
Dianne and Paula sat on the bed, following their friend with their eyes.
“Come down, girlfriend. That guy doesn’t worth you getting all worked up over him. You have your cutie by your side now. He’s not gonna let him hurt you.”
“I know, right?” Jocelyn said and sighed. She sat next to her friend and stared dreamily at the ceiling. “Eddie is everything a girl needs. I love him so much. I know he’s gonna stand by me and defend me from that nitwit.”
“That’s the spirit!” Dianne said happily and winked.
“How did your day go? How was your first date with the cute doctor?” Paula asked and Jocelyn smiled.
“My day was fantastic. I had such a wonderful day untill that scvm appeared for nowhere with his goons.” Jocelyn said with an eye roll.
“Ugh. I can imagine how you must have felt.” Paula said.
“I think you should tell your dad to her him arrested for trespassing.” Dianne suggested.
Jocelyn scoffed. “That guy is very powerful. None of the police headquarters from this town can get him behind bars. He’s very powerful.” Jocelyn replied.
“Well girls! I think it’s high time we stop talking about that annoying man. What are we doing tommorow? It’s weekend!” Paula said and Jocelyn rolled her eyes.
“I don’t know for you girls but as me for me…I’m going to Eddie’s house for the first time and might meet his mom too.” Jocelyn announced and her friends gasped and jumped on her excitedly.
