“You are already going to visit him? Wow….you are so lucky girl!” Dianne said with enthusiasm.
Jocelyn nodded. “I don’t wanna risk this girl’s. That guy is every girls choice and I don’t wanna lose him to anyone. I don’t even trust you girls.”
Her friends fell off laughing.
“You know we would never think of snatching your boyfriend.” Paula said after having a huge laugh.
“I know but prevention they say, is better than cure.” Jocelyn stated.
There was a single knock on the door and Angeline came in immediately.
“Mom!” Jocelyn called happily.
“Looks like someone is super excited. What’s up?” Angeline asked, walking towards the girls.
“Well…. let’s just say that I’ve finally found happiness.” Jocelyn said happily.
“Oh my God. My daughter is finally in love!” Angeline said tearfully as she hugged her daughter happily.
“Can you please talk to Adam for me? Can you tell him to back off?” Jocelyn told her mom as soon as they disengaged.
Angeline frowned. “What did he do this time?”
“Daddy didn’t tell you? I called Dad to send us some police men. Adam had the guts to double-cross Eddie and I with his men. Can you imagine that?”
Angeline sighed. “I will have to talk to his mom. It’s high he stops forcing himself on you.”
Jocelyn smiled. “Thank you Mommy. I love you.”
“I love you too darling. I have to go now. See you girls.” Angeline walked to the door and was out of the room in a second.
Jocelyn breathed in heavily and turned to face her mom. “Things are going on so well to be real. Like…!” She screamed happily and flung herself on the bed.
“You deserve to be happy with him, Joe….after all you went through. You almost lost your life remember?” Paula asked.
“Yeah.” Jocelyn replied, sitting up.
“Okay! Enough of the chitchat! Who’s going for shopping with me?” Jocelyn asked standing up.
Her friends equally stood up with her. “You know we can’t say no to shopping!” They chorused and Jocelyn laughed. They got ready and were soon out of the house.

Adam paced in his massive bed room, his mind on the incident earlier in the day with Eddie and Jocelyn.
He was still as mad as then. He still couldn’t believe that Jocelyn was going out with someone.
It was killing him. He felt like strangling someone. He felt like hurling someone down a twenty storey building.
Just anything to ease the anger.
“I won’t let you take away what’s rightfully mine, doctor. I will bring you down before you get such opportunity.” Adam grumbled to himself.
Jocelyn was the first woman that would catch his interest.
Apart from knowing her since childhood – as their parents were close – he has always wanted to make her his when the time was right.
And now, this? Adam though and shook his head.
He knew he had made his mistake with Lucio but that was it. He only had a baby with her and that was all there is.
He had hoped that after getting married to Jocelyn, he would tell her about his son but now, his plans were diverting and he needed to act fast before he would lose her completely.
He couldn’t bear the fact that Jocelyn might decide to marry Eddie.
“No. That’s never gonna happen. Never ” he shook his head.
Adam walked to his drinking table, sat down and poured himself a glass of Brandy.
As he sipped the drink and drummed his fingers on the glass rim slowly, he kept on thinking about what to do; to get his pretty woman back. Suddenly, his fingers stopped drumming and gripped the glass cup instead as his eyes widened.
He had an idea.
A perfect idea that would finalize his plans

The next day, Jocelyn woke up excited. She went into her bathroom, brushed her teeth and applied some beauty creams on her face before running back into her room and met her phone ringing.
“It’s Eddie!” She shouted happily and quickly grabbed her phone and picked up the call.
“Good morning Eddie.” Jocelyn said sweetly into the phone.
Eddie sighed before answering. “My angel. You are awake already. How was your night, my beauty one?”
Jocelyn closed her eyes as his cute romantic voice sent shivers down her spine. “It was good. And yours?” Her voice came out in a whisper and she wondered what the heck was wrong with her.
“Fantastic. I thought of you till I slept off. It was awesome.” Eddie replied from the other line.
Jocelyn closed her eyes again and smiled. “I thought about you and gist about you through out with my friends.”
Eddie chuckled. “My spoilt brat is at it again. So….what did you girls talked about?”
“How loving and cute you are. ”
“Am I?”
Jocelyn rolled her eyes. “Of course you are and you know that, don’t you?”
“My mom is coming over in the midday. I want you to be here by then. What time should I pick you up?” Eddie asked.
“I have my hair salon appointment scheduled at 10 this morning and my cooking training by twelve. I should be ready before 1pm.” Jocelyn said.
“You do cooking training?” Eddie asked and laughed.
Jocelyn frowned. “Yes. Is it bad?”
“You don’t need to learn how to cook my angel. Since you didn’t learn how to do that when you were growing….it isn’t necessary anymore.”
Jocelyn sighed. “I’m the only child, Eddie and mom spoilt me. She thought it was not necessary to learn how to do all the works because I have maids doing them for me, but I don’t want that anymore. That was why I enrolled for the cooking class.”
“Do you enjoy doing it?” Eddie asked.
Jocelyn shrugged. “I’m trying my best.” She said and smiled.
“If you don’t like it dear…just stop it. Do not force yourself. You will always have maids doing everything for you.” Eddie said and Jocelyn’s eyes sparkled.
“Are you saying you don’t mind if I’m not perfect at house chores?”
“Yes angel. All that matters to me is that you are a good person, loving and faithful. I prefer a faithful partner to a partner who knows how to cook all the meals but cheats.”
Jocelyn smiled again. “Thank you Eddie. I don’t know what I would have done without you.”
Few minutes later, the call ended and Jocelyn walked to her wardrobe to choose her outfit for the big day.
