Episode 14
Eddie smiled as he ended the call.
Cooking class? He asked himself and chuckled.
“She must really be spoilt but in a good way though.” He mumbled out loud before getting up from his bed.
He walked down stairs and made his way into the kitchen to make himself a cup of coffee only to find a young girl, making fries. He stood, a little surprised.
The girl turned and gave him an unsure smile. “Good…. morning….”
Eddie didn’t reply immediately. After gaining back his ground, he managed to nod. “Who are you?”
“Vera.”
“I didn’t ask for your name. What are you doing in my kitchen?”
The girl swallowed and smiled again. “I’m….I’m sorry. Leo didn’t tell me his brother was around.”
“I’m guessing you are his newest catch?” Eddie asked, walking towards the gas cooker on the ceramic table.
The girl frowned as he gaze followed Eddie. “Excuse me?”
Eddie put on the cooker and waited for his water to boil and turned to face the girl. “How old are you?” He asked.
Vera stared down at the floor, embarrassed. “I’m nineteen.” She replied.
“Hmm.” Eddie mumbled and nodded. “You are only nineteen and already spending nights in a guy’s house….. warming his bed.”
“He’s my boyfriend and he begged me to stay over. Don’t be so mean.”
“This is my house and I do not condone any form of indiscipline. I’m only trying to correct you pretty.” Eddie said softly.
Vera looked at him. “You water is boiling.” She mumbled.
Eddie glanced back. “Thank you.” He turned his back and started making this coffee.
When he was done, he put his cup on it’s saucer and turned back only to see Vera still standing.
“What were you doing before I came in?”
“Fries.” Vera mumbled, pointing to the baking pan.
“Then go on.” Eddie said and left the kitchen.
As soon as he stepped out, he bumped into Leo who has been listening all these while.
Eddie almost spilled his coffee but immediately steadied it before looking at his cousin. “What are you doing?”
“Going to get water…” Leo said and tried escaping.
“Who’s she?” Eddie asked.
Leo scratched the middle of his hair and doing all other unnecessary moves but Eddie stared on, waiting for an answer.
Leo cleared his throat. “She’s a friend. She begged to stay for the night because she had some issue.”
“That isn’t what she said to me. I’m sure you were listening. You begged her to stay for the night instead.”
“Come on. You didn’t believe her, did you?”
“Leo….when are you gonna change? Is it when you become a sudden father?” Eddie asked, sipping his coffee.
“No. That’s not gonna happen. I’m just having fun okay?” Leo said, walking away.
“If you don’t stop this, I will have to tell your mom about it.” Eddie replied and walked ahead of him.
Leo grumbled and went into the kitchen to meet Vera.

After her cooking class, Jocelyn went home to get ready for her first visit to Eddie’s house.
Her friends were already waiting for her in her room by the time she got home.
“Look who’s back.” Dianne announced as they unfix their eyes from the TV screen.
Jocelyn threw her bag on the bed and hurried to her selected dress for the outing.
“Can you guess what his mom would be like?” Jocelyn asked her friends as she checked out her dress.
“Hmm…. maybe beautiful and smart.” Paula said.
“Saucy?” Dianne chipped in and the other toe stared at her.
“That was wicked.” Jocelyn groused.
“Eddie is loving and kind. Maybe his mom can be the opposite. You know….she might be a Jezebel.” Dianne continued.
“Now, you are freaking me out.” Jocelyn cried.
“Don’t mind her, doll. She’s only jealous.” Paula consoled.
Jocelyn’s phone began to ring and her eyes brightened. “He’s here! I have to get dressed. He’s here to pick me!”
Her friends helped her get ready as fast as they could to avoid getting blamed..

Eddie waited outside, resting against his car. He stared all over Jocelyn’s compound, noting the fact that her house looked so nice and beautiful.
He saw someone come out of the main door and smiled when he realised it was his spoilt pretty Jocelyn.
He couldn’t get his eyes off her as she approached him.
They hugged as soon as Jocelyn got close enough. “Looking as beautiful as always.” Eddie complemented.
Jocelyn blushed as she smiled.
“My mom is excited to hear I’m finally getting myself a girlfriend. Don’t be too shocked on what you are gonna see.” Eddie said as he took Jocelyn to the other side of the car and opened the door for her.
Jocelyn hesitated before getting in. “What I’m gonna see? I hope it’s something good.” She asked.
“You will see for yourself.” Eddie replied and closed the door as soon as Jocelyn got in.
He walked round and got into the driver’s seat, started the car and drove away.

They got to Eddie’s house thirty minutes later and Jocelyn couldn’t stop looking around the vicinity as she got down from the car.
The house was incredibly beautiful and big.
“Wow…..you live here alone!” She exclaimed.
“Not really.” Eddie replied with a cute smile.
“What do You mean by that? I know you live alone.” Jocelyn said, still looking around.
Eddie smiled and held her arm. “Come on. We have to go in.” He said, pulling her with him towards the main entrance.
Jocelyn noted that there were so many beautiful cars packed at the garage and sighed. The place marvelled her.
They got inside the house and Jocelyn still couldn’t stop laughing looking around. The house was magnificent!!
“Oh gosh.” Jocelyn mumbled as they stepped into the large and tall living room. “This is amazing.”
Eddie chuckled. “Will you just stop and sit? I will get you something cold.” He said and left for the kitchen.
“Wow.” Jocelyn mumbled as she slowly lowered herself to a cushion.
“And who do we have here? Jocelyn?” A woman’s voice sounded from behind and Jocelyn turned to look back with a smile, hoping it was Eddie’s mom.
But as soon as she turned, her smile faded and she gasped. Slowly she stood up.
In front of her were two identical women!
So identical!
She was confused.
Eddie appeared from behind with a glass of drink and smiled on seeing the scenario. “Mom…. you’ve met Jocelyn.”
The woman at the left side smiled. “Nice to meet you finally Jocelyn ” she said and moved forward and hugged her.
Still perplexed, Jocelyn hugged her back and figured out the woman who’d hugged her was Eddie’s mom.
And the other woman….might be her twin.
They looked incredibly alike!!
