Episode 20
Jocelyn stared on with a look of surprise all over her face. “I don’t know what you are talking about.”
“Yeah….you wouldn’t know because you are guilty!” Rihanna snapped.
“Eddie is mine. Can you be kind enough to leave him for me? He’s mine.” Rihanna added, staring straight into Jocelyn’s eyes.
Jocelyn gasped unbelievably. “Eddie is your boyfriend? He never told me about it.”
Rihanna scoffed. “He doesn’t have to tell you anything. Stay away from him.”
“Jocelyn…. please don’t listen to her.” Zoe quickly cut in.
Jocelyn continued staring at Rihanna. She didn’t really know what to think of say. She was totally cut off guard.
“Will you stay out of this, Zoe? It’s not your business.” Rihanna chided Zoe.
Jocelyn didn’t say a word. She turned around and started heading back to Eddie’s office.
“Where are you going? No I’m not done talk to you!” Rihanna raved as Jocelyn walked away.
“You are in the hospital Rihanna! You of all people should know that noice isn’t allowed in here!” Zoe snapped at Rihanna who stared angrily after Jocelyn.
“I don’t care what she goes up there to tell Eddie. He’s not going to lift a finger all because of her.” Rihanna said panting angrily.
Zoe shook her head. “Don’t be so sure.”

Jocelyn went back into Eddie’s room, devastated. He wasn’t back yet so she sat on the single sofa in the office, looking so worried and a little bit upset. She didn’t want to believe Rihanna but somehow it was getting to her.
Few minutes after she arrived, the door opened and Eddie walked in, whistling happily.
Jocelyn glared up at him and looked away. “You look excited.” She mumbled.
“Yeah. A woman just gave birth to twin girls. I’m excited for them.” Eddie replied, walking towards Jocelyn.
“Yeah.” Was all Jocelyn could say which got Eddie suspicious immediately.
He stopped in his track, wondering why she was suddenly moody.
“Are you okay?” Eddie asked, stopping in front of her.
“I’m here. Just…..I wanna go home.” Jocelyn snapped, avoiding his eyes totally.
“Look at me.” Eddie ordered and Jocelyn slowly did so and sighed. “What’s wrong?” Eddie asked again.
“Rihanna……..is she your girlfriend?” Jocelyn suddenly asked and Eddie frowned. Then laughed.
“Where did you get that idea from? Who told you that?”
“Just tell me if you have something to do with her or not.” Jocelyn replied, getting more angry.
Eddie knelt in front of her, his eyes searching her face. “I can’t believe you are asking me that. It means you don’t trust me.”
“I only asked a simple question, Eddie! Can you be kind enough to answer?” Jocelyn asked, snapping up on her feet.
Eddie stood up slowly to, his eyes still on her. “Rihanna is a nurse I like…..you said you like her too…. right? We only have an official relationship. Nothing else. I have a harmless likeness for her because she’s caring. I’ve never had any personal relationship with her.”
Jocelyn folded her arms and turned back to look at him. “Why do I find it difficult to believe you?”
“Jocelyn!” Eddie snapped and Jocelyn stared at him, surprised that he could snap at her and also calling her by her name for the very first time.
“You just called me by my name for the first time.”
“Because you are getting me sad and angry. Why would you say a thing like that? We’ve been together for almost a month now…..you should know me by now.”
Jocelyn shook her head and walked over to the table. She picked up her bag and stared at the door.
“I think I have to go now. My mom should be back home by now.”
Eddie sighed and sat down, burying his head between his palms.
He just had his first fight with Jocelyn and it was surprisingly painful. “Can you please come down?”
“Does it look like I can come down? See you later….if at all.” Jocelyn mumbled and left the office.
Eddie sighed again, ruffling his hair with his palms.
He walked round his desk and sat on his chair before grabbing his telephone off the cradle.
“Come to my office immediately.” Eddie said once the call was picked.
He dropped back the telephone on the cradle and impatiently waited for his door to be knocked on.
Few minutes later, there was a single knock and Rihanna came in, smiling brightly.
“Hey Eddie!” She called sweetly as she walked towards his desk.
Eddie put his palm up in front of her, stoping her from coming closer. “Stop.”
“What?” Rihanna asked innocently.
“What happened between you and Jocelyn?” Eddie asked.
“Something like what?”
“Did anything happen between you and Jocelyn?” Eddie asked again.
“Nothing.” Rihanna mumbled a reply.
“Nothing?”
“Yeah. Nothing.”
“So ..why was she calling you my girlfriend?” Eddie asked and Rihanna gasped sharply. Then smiled.
“Well…. thank goodness she noticed.”
Eddie stared up at her and stood up. “What’s wrong with you, Rihanna? Why are you doing this?”
“I’m not doing anything, Eddie. I’m simply saying they she noticed how close we are….. that’s all.”
“If I find out that you told Jocelyn anything….. trust me, I won’t take it easy with you.” Eddie said before sitting back.
Rihanna only rolled her eyes and shrugged.

Jocelyn stood in front of the mirror in the washroom, tears streaking down her face. She wiped them slowly, staring at herself in the mirror.
Having her first fight with Eddie was the worst thing that could happen to her. She badly wanted to control herself back there but she couldn’t. Rihanna’s words were as painful as hell.
She tried hard not to believe Rihanna but still yet….she couldn’t stop thinking about it.
She sighed and put her hands on the zinc top to support her weight as she bent over a little.
The door suddenly opened and nurse Zoe came in.
“Jocelyn?” Zoe called and Jocelyn slowly turned to look at her. “Are you okay?”
“I wish.” She mumbled.
