Tony smiled,then turned to continue cooking when he felt a hand wrapped round his waist again,he smiled lightly and placed his own hands on Vanessa’s,his eyes tightly shut while he kept smiling handsomely.
His eyes went wide open,at Vanessa’s next word.
“Can you teach me how to cook?”Vanessa requested politely,with a voice which came out as a whisper, while tony blinked repeatedly.
Was Vanessa really making this request or was it his hallucination again? Jeez!! Wonder’s shall never cease indeed.
Tony chuckled and turned to her, which got Vanessa looking down in embarrassment. Why won’t she be embarrassed when a guy is gonna teach her how to cook instead of she teaching him?
“Uhmmm,I won’t”Tony replied bluntly and Vanessa gasped loudly.
“Why won’t you?”She asks slowly, while blinking her lashes cutely.
“You have to pay first”Tony gave his reply, leaning against the sink with his hands folded under his chest.
“Jeez! I’ve always known you’re annoying. This minute you’re acting cute and the next… You sulks”Vanessa rolled eye angrily and Tony began laughing.
“Jeez! She’s angry!! Oh wow, don’t worry I’ll teach you okay?”He pinched her cheeks and she rolled eyes at him.
“C’mon Armour, I’ll teach you okay?”He repeated and Vanessa blinked.
“Did…did you call me armour?”She pointed at herself and Tony shook his head.
“I didn’t. C’mon,let’s get to work”Tony replied and Vanessa gritted with a eye roll.
“First,get the onions and it off”Tony instructed and Vanessa breathed heavily, while looking around, searching for the onions with her eye,when the onions was right in front of her.
Tony was standing beside her,his hand still folded as he kept looking at her in awe! Does that mean she don’t know what an onion is? Talk more of recognizing it? Kai!!
Vanessa turned to Tony,her lips clapped tightly together as if she was at the verge of loosing it.
“Can..can you show me the onions?”She breathed out,her eyes tightly shut with her heart banging loudly in her chest.
She flicked her eyes open when she felt a hand on her shoulder.
“You don’t have to be scared or nervous! Feel relaxed and learn how to cook okay?”Tony encouraged and she smiled lightly.
“So,this is an onion”Tony showed it to her and she nodded immediately.
“Peel it off this way, then wash it clean before cutting it. You can cut the onion according to your own taste”Tony explained, showing examples to her.
“Now,over to you. Start cutting”Tony gestured and Vanessa breathed again before taking the knife.
She breathed heavily, looking at the sharp edge of the knife which was glittering dangerously.
“Jeez Nessa! Don’t be scared,it’s just an onion and knife,it doesn’t bite or does it?”Tony asks and Vanessa shook her head.
“Good then,go on”Tony gestured and she smiled before doing exactly what Tony showed her.
She was cutting the onion,when her eyes became mist with tears,she took her bottom lips in and closed her eyes tightly.
She opened it after few seconds, while sniffing. Soon real tears began gushing out of her eyes,but that didn’t stop her,the more the tears rushed down the more she kept wiping it. She was ready to learn,and nothing was gonna stop her.
Tony noticed the tears and shrugged slightly before turning her face to himself, using his thumb he wiped off the tear’s and nudged at her to continue.
She nodded and continued chopping the onions,once she was done tony gave her the fresh tomatoes not without telling her how to cut it too,it was still going on when Vanessa accidentally slit her finger.
“Füçk!!”She cussed, dropping the knife on the counter.
“You fine?”Tony asks, taking hold of her hand and seeing blood tickling down her finger,he knew what already happened.
“d@mn!”He gritted and took her finger to his lips, licking off the blood while maintaining an eye lock with Vanessa.
On the other hand, Vanessa couldn’t believe what she was seeing! Tony was licking off her blood? She felt her heart beat skyrocketing and she bite her bottom lips hardly.
“I’m…I’m..fine now”She stuttered, pulling her hand out from Tony’s grip.
“Be careful next time”He stroked her hair and Vanessa gave a nod in reply.
“I’ll cook for tonight,is late already. We can’t keep doing this now,I’ll bring out a special time and day,to teach you how to make different meals okay?”Tony asks and she smiled.
“Copied!”She gave him thumbs up and he chuckled.

Tony could be seen, standing close to the Altar, dressed in a black suit,his hair well trimmed and his suit looking so stunning on him.
He took a glance at his wrist watch,and he couldn’t help but feel his heart beating crazily. Today is going to be one of the best days of his life, today he is gonna be getting married to the one he loves,the only lady who has successfully put a big smile on his face.
Just as he was wondering in his thoughts,his eyes went to the door and a big smile crept the corner of his lips as he saw his heartthrob walking towards him, dressed in her beautiful flowing white gown. A veil covering her face, while her mom walked beside her.
Her face was buried on the floor,as she took slow strides towards him.
When she’ve successfully walked closer to him,the priest came forward with a smile on his face.
“The bride is here,let the wedding proceedings begin”The priest announced and the congregation went wild with excitement.
“This is the biggest and most relevant part of this union. The wedding vows”
“You will repeat after me”The priest turned to Tony and told him while he nodded with a smile.
“I, Anthony Williams take You,Mariam Austin to be my lawfully wedded wife,to have and to hold from this day forward,for better,for worse,for richer,for poorer,in sickness and in health, untill death do us part. I’ll love and cherish you all the days of my life”the priest said and Tony repeated exactly what he said. The priest turned to Mariam,and she took her vows too.
“It’s time to exchange the rings”He continued.
“I give you this ring,as a symbol of my vow,and with all that I am and all that I have,I honor you,in the name of the father,and of the son and of the Holy spirit”Tony said, slipping in the ring in Mariam’s finger and she did her’s too.
“By the power invested on me,I proclaim you husband and wife! You may now kiss the bride!!!”
The congregation went wild with excitement,as they began clapping while some where shouting.
Tony pulled Mariam closer, tilting his head and slowly but steady their lips was almost close to meeting when…..
Grinnnnnnnnnnn!!!!
The annoying phone ringtone of Mariam woke her up, angrily she took her phone with the intention of smashing it on the floor. Who dares interrupt her dream? Her heart desire was almost coming through, Even if she won’t be opportune to kiss him in reality, having a taste of his lips in the dream won’t be a bad idea. Who knows,it could have turned to reality cos dreams always do come to past and this stupid call cut her dream short! d@mn the motherFüçker!!!
The phone stopped ringing immediately and Mariam roughed her hair, breathing heavily.
“Gosh!! God,one last chance. Take me back to the dream and I won’t miss the opportunity again,I’ll grab him and devour his lips like an angry lion”She prayed earnestly with her eyes shut tightly,but it looked like the devil or rather will I say,the angels was against her prayer cos the phone began ringing again.
Without thinking twice,she grabbed the phone and smashed it angrily on the wall.

Vanessa held unto her backpack tightly,her phone on her right hand while she kept smiling to herself.
She walked into the classroom,only to meet with an empty class.
“Huh?”She arched her brows, looking around in fear.
Taking a glance at her wrist watch,she let out a shrug. It’s half past 5 in the morning.
Her phone began ringing instantly,on seeing the caller’s ID she giggled to herself.
📞”Surprised that I left early? I just wanted to be the first to come”She giggled happily over the phone which got tony groaning from the other end.
📞”Did you check the time Vanessa?”Tony asks slowly and Vanessa pouted.
📞”It’s half past 5″She replied and Tony sighed.
📞”Apart from that,did you check the lectures update before rushing to school? The first lecture which was supposed to start by six was shifted to 4 by the lecturer himself,for personal reasons I guess”Tony explained and Vanessa twitched her lips before sighing out.
📞”Gosh! I didn’t check it,I only checked it last night, and it was there”She replied.
📞”And when I checked,it has already been shifted. Jeez! You slept off already that’s why I couldn’t tell you”Tony replied and Vanessa bite her bottom lips.
📞”How on earth did you leave the room? Are you sure you didn’t give me sleeping pills? How come I didn’t see you leaving or hear any noise?”Tony asks and Vanessa giggled.
📞”I performed some magic”She replied and Tony laughed.
📞”Get back your @$$ down here”Tony said still laughing.
📞”Why should I come back?”She asks knowingly with a smile.
📞”I just want you to come back and stay with me,it’s cold and I’m feeling lonely already. I wonder how you were able to walk under the cold weather”Tony hissed and Vanessa chuckled.
📞”I’m sorry I won’t be coming back now, I’ll be heading to Tessa’s lodge instead”Vanessa replied and Tony sat up on the bed,then transferred his phone to his right hand.
📞”You’re kidding me right?”
📞”I’m not kidding you…..”
📞”You can visit Tessa some other time and not now o…”
📞”Bye Tony!!”Vanessa laughed and hanged up the call, while tony could be seen Groaning angrily.
Vanessa turned back and left the classroom heading out of the school environment.
Vanessa took the route, leading to Tessa’s lodge when she began hearing footsteps behind her. Feeling lessed concerned or bothered,she continued walking whilst humming a song to herself while smiling,but she began panicking slowly when the footsteps became louder,more like the person was right behind her.
She turned swiftly, only to see that there wasn’t anyone behind her. Stopping on her track’s,she began looking around fearfully. When she couldn’t find or see anyone,she continued her journey this time she began with the walk-run step, while praying inwardly.
It was still dark a little and everywhere was kinda lonely,her heart was beating fastly and she was sweating profusely.
The footsteps began again,this time Vanessa brought out her phone slowly while still on her walk-run step. She dialed Tony’s number and the moment tony picked up the call was the moment a bullet rammed into her back which got an agonizing scream escaping her mouth.
On the other hand,tony who heard the sound of gunshot and her scream,stood up from the bed in fright.
*VANESSA!!*
He called from the other end,but no reply came from her,she was already kneeling down while wincing in pains.
Two hefty guy’s came out from her back, their faced masked and they looked dead scary and dangerous.
The other guy was holding a gun while the first and the one that looks more scarier held a knife.
He walked up to Vanessa and grabbed a handful of her hair, pulling her up roughly while she cried for help,her voice low and weak.
“Farewell,dear Vanessa!!”He smirked and sank the knife twice in her tommy, Vanessa’s eye went wide in shock,blood splashed out from her mouth while hot tears rolled down her cheeks instantly.
