CHAPTER 1💔2
“I will never forgive you.Mark my words,I will make you pay”repeated a woman dressed in black.
“Please”Fredrick cried out from his sleep as he woke up sweating profusely.He sighed sadly and held his head in frustration.Ever since the incident five years ago,he had never had a peaceful night.He couldn’t close his eyes for a moment without seeing her.She kept on coming to torment him.
He stood up and headed to the bathroom.After a while,he was done bathing.He dressed up and knotted his tie ready to go for his outreach.
Over the years,he had resulted into going to small and undeveloped villages to assist them hoping to find her there but he hadn’t seen her.He knew she was still in the country but he doesn’t know where.
He went outside and met his personal assistant,Henry.
“Good morning,Henry”Fredrick said as he got into the car and Henry nodded in reply as he got into the car and started driving.
“We will be going to a village towards the outskirts of the city so it is a long journey.You can tell me if you want to stop by anywhere”said Henry with his eyes focused in the road.
“I won’t be stopping anywhere,just drive”Fredrick replied as he rested his head and closed his eyes. “Do you think we will find her?”asked Fredrick and Henry chuckled.
“I don’t know but I hope we do.I can’t see you suffer anymore,Fred”said Henry and Fredrick sighed.
Henry wasn’t just his personal assistant but he was also his best friend and they knew each other since middle school.He was the only one aware about the incident and he had offered to join him in the search for her.
The drive lasted for about 3hrs and finally they got to the village.Henry and Fredrick got down from the car and looked around.
Fredrick stood elegantly with his arms in his pockets as passerbys drooled over him.He was too handsome to ignore and his face shone brightly under the sun.

“Mona!!”a young lady yelled as she ran towards a lady backing her.
The lady turned at the mention of her name and stared at the other lady questioningly.She is Monalisa,the once upon a time celebrity.She wasn’t as elegant as she used to be and her clothes were faded.
“What is wrong,Lilian?”asked Monalisa facing the other lady.That was Lilian,a lady she met after a year at the outskirt.Lilian was an orphan and she wandered around homelessly until Monalisa took her in.
“Two handsome men dazzling under the sunlight just got into the village.They are so handsome and….”Lilian was saying but paused when she saw how uninterested Monalisa was.
“Everyone is gathered there,Mona.I am also going”said Lilian as she turned her back.”Who knows he might distribute money”Lilian added silently as she left but it didn’t fail to reach Monalisa’s ears.
Money??She really needed it at the moment.Though she wasn’t interested in how handsome they looked but if it was about money then there was no way she was going to miss it.
She hurriedly finish cleaning the place and washed her hands.She ran towards the place with one thing in mind,Money.She prayed it was still available when she got there.
She got to the place and it was crowded.It was more like the whole villagers neglected their jobs to come there.
“How handsome could they be that these people left where they are been given money?Let me take a look and if there is no money am not staying”Monalisa said as she squeezed her way to the front.
She got to the front and was stunned at how handsome they were but something pulled her towards the taller guy.It felt like she had a connection with him.Ignoring the pull in her,she walked to the front with her eyes darting left and right searching for the bag of money.
Fredrick was discussing with the representative of the villagers in the funds he would be donating when he felt someone hit him he turned and saw a lady walking with her back and looking around like she misplaced something.
She twisted her steps and almost fell but he was quick to hold her.She held his shirt tightly to support herself and for a minute they were lost staring at each other’s eyes.
Fredrick was dazed.She was right here in his arms,the lady he had searched for the past five years.The one who had haunted him in his dreams,he found her.Tears welled up in his eyes but he quickly restrained himself.
“Will you drop me down?”said Monalisa and Fredrick regained his posture as he carefully placed her down.
“Am Fredrick Hutton”said Fredrick as he scratched his head nervously and Monalisa glared at him.
“I can’t remember asking for your name.I don’t know why am here in the first place”Monalisa said rudely as she walked away and left the place.
