CHAPTER 17💔18
It’s been two weeks since Monalisa’s visit in his office and he hadn’t gone to see her.He had wanted to go many times but Henry stopped him telling him to give her time.He sent men to spy on her and bring different pictures of her daily but they weren’t satisfying.He wanted to see her with his own eyes,tease her and watch her yell at him for her $1000 that she forgot to collect
“Are you thinking about her again?”asked Henry as he sat opposite him
“I can’t help it,man.I keep on thinking about her and really wish to see her.”replied Fredrick as he loosened his tie and relaxed on his chair
They were in the office and there was absolutely no work to do
“I understand.Come to think of it,I haven’t seen strega(witch)”said Henry referring to Charlotte and Fredrick glared at him
“She decided to stay home today.She is in pain,women stuffs”said Fredrick as he paused ” and stop calling my sister a witch.She is an angel,my angel and our angel.Have you forgotten what she went through when you fell sick?”joked Fredrick and Henry laughed at the memory of it
“I still remember vividly.It was surprising that she was as caring as that.”said Henry and Fredrick chuckled.Henry’s illness was the beginning of everything that happened five years ago but he wasn’t ready to go down the memory lane
“I still feel bad about everything”Henry said sadly.That was the beginning of the enemity between him and Charlotte but deep down he loves her alot.She was the sister he never got to have and he knew she doesn’t h@të him too
Fredrick looked at Henry and he could see that he was beginning to blame himself and feel guilty again so he decided to lighten the mood
“Should we go and eat fish soup at Mona’s place?Let’s go”said Fredrick as he pulled Henry out of the office

Monalisa used both her hands to push her chin up as she sighed tiredly
“It’s been two weeks and he didn’t even think of showing up and he wants me to trust him.Trust my foot”she muttered quietly
“Seems like someone is missing Mr.handsome”Lilian teased and she hissed in reply sitting on the stool
“Come to think of it,shouldn’t he come to see you after the kiss?”asked Lilian as she sat beside Monalisa “I am missing his cool friend”Lilian added silently
Monalisa looked towards the restaurant’s door wishing he will just walk through it like a fairytale but he didn’t.She rested her head in the counter as she mesmerized about the kiss they shared
“Sleeping on duty?That’s a bad attitude”Monalisa heard the voice she had been imagining for the past two weeks.She hissed and closed her eyes tightly ignoring the voice
“Mr.handsome!”she heard Lilian call out and she quickly stood up not believing her ears
Her eyes twinkled in happiness as she stared at the man before her.She smiled at him and he returned it gracefully
“Do you miss me?”asked Henry as he winked at Monalisa making his presence known and Monalisa rolled her eyes
“Of course,I did.I waited everyday for my debtors to come and pay me my $1000.”Monalisa replied jokingly and Henry chuckled
“So you were expecting for the past two weeks??”asked Fredrick and Monalisa nodded affirmatively
“I told you we should have come since but you kept on saying she needed time”Fredrick snapped at Henry angrily and Henry shrugged.Monalisa and Lilian chuckled at their interaction
“What would you like,handsome?”Lilian asked facing Henry and Fredrick chuckled
“Seems like am being ignored here.That’s unfair”Fredrick said feigning hurt and Lilian smiled at him
“I don’t go for owned goods”said Lilian and Fredrick raised his eyebrows
“What makes you think am owned?”said Fredrick and Lilian gave him a sign
“Monalisa owns you”she mouthed but Monalisa saw her and hit her head
“Keep your mouth shut”said Monalisa and Fredrick chuckled
“What would you like to have?”Monalisa asked Fredrick and he smirked while Lilian and Henry engaged in a discussion
“I want you.I hope you are available today”said Fredrick as he winked at Monalisa and she blushed
“At your service,sir”she replied jokingly and Fredrick laughed
“Give him fish soup.He came here because of that”Fredrick said pointing to Henry who looked at him immediately
“Four bowls please”said Henry and Fredrick turned to him with widened eyes
“Don’t tell me you are going to finish all that?”asked Fredrick and Henry chuckled
“Watch me finish them”replied Henry
“Here are your bowls of fish soup”said Monalisa as she passed it on to Henry who collected it and left
“What about you?”Monalisa asked Fredrick and he smiled at her
“Seeing you alone makes me full”replied Fredrick as he stared at her while she blushed
“Huhh,I better get a boyfriend soon”said Lilian as she left them alone
