Charlotte’s Chamber
Adora had just finish treating Charlotte’s wound. Charlotte’s arms was bandaged and was already swollen.
“Thank you so much Adora” Charlotte said.
Adora had already changed from her wedding gown to a flowing robe and packed her hair in bun.
“I’m going to kill that Alessia of girl,she just destroyed my wedding, I’ll kill her!!” Adora fumed pacing around the room.
“I’m with you , we’re gonna do it together” Charlotte assured her with a smile.
“Thanks so much bestie” They hugged each other.
“What’s that smell?” Adora sniffed the air.
Charlotte started coughing.
Adora sighted smoke coming from the door region,her eyes widened in fear.
“Charlotte fire! The palace is on fire!!” Adora screamed in a confused state.
“Let’s leave here,the fire is spreading widely” Charlotte clutched tightly to Adora’s arm.
They went over to the window but it was too high. They were in the third floor.
“Gosh!! This place is high,what are we gonna do now” Charlotte lamented.
The fire had entered the room,they had no time to waste.
Adora got a strong rope and tied one end of the rope to the bed stand and threw the other end outside the window.
“Charlotte I’m gonna go first then you come after me, please be careful so you won’t hurt yourself” Adora said.
“Yes I will” Charlotte replied fidgeting. She watched Adora go down with the rope. Beads of sweat gathered on her forehead as she held the rope.
“I can’t do this” She muttered fearfully staring at the high level.
Adora was down already but Charlotte wasn’t coming down.
“Charlotte use the rope!!” Adora voice echoed.
“I’m scared!!” Charlotte replied as tears dripped form her eyes. Her heart beat had increased rapidly.
“Charlotte you can just come down , there’s no time!!” Adora warned.
Charlotte grabbed the rope and she felt a hot pain on her back. It pierced deeply into her skin like that of a scorpion sting.
“Arghhhhhhh fire!!!” She screamed as the fire covered her clothes.
“No!!! Charlotte!!” Adora wailed as hot tears rolled down her cheeks.
Charlotte fell from the window in a slow mo. The fire had already covered her body, her hair flowing on the air as the wind blew it and slowly….slowly… She landed in front of Adora with a loud splash.
Adora was looking red as Charlotte’s blood splashed on her. Her head bursted open and her brain came in view.
Her ankles,knees and neck were twisted and broken. Four of her upper tooth were missing,her mouth was opened in horror and her eyes stared blankly in horror.
Adora knelt by her side and cried out loudly.
“Charlotte why! Why now!!” She scattered her hair as she screamed loudly.
Charlotte’s blood flowed freely on the ground giving the ground a thick red color.
“Alessia I’m coming for you!!” Adora muttered biting her lower lips furiously.
