“Gosh,Rahkel! How long will I sit here before you will be done with the makeup, the party is not for me,yunno. So why the heavy makeup?
“Just sit still,silly. Because the party is not for you,you don’t want to look good?” Rahkel yelled.
“Why didn’t you take to do Nora’s?” But Rahkel didn’t answer as she didn’t know how to lie about it.
“So what about you,don’t you want to look good? Peyton continued to ask.
“Don’t worry about me,that’s a piece of cake for me.
Peyton has been sitting for close to an hour now,having her makeup done.
Aside managing Nolan’s Restaurant, Rahkel is also a makeup artist and she does it so well that, you can hardly recognize someone you already know after she’s done.
But why is she giving Peyton a heavy makeup when the party is not even for her?
Even I don’t know,we’ll find out soon.
“Oh my gosh! Where’s is Peyton? Where did you hide her? Nora joked when she got in and saw who Rahkel has transformed Peyton into.
She was dazzling, she was radiating, her makeup was topnotch. Her dress fitted her body so well that it brought out all her curves.
It was a blue armless dress,with only a strap on one hand and the other had none,it stopped right on her knees,exposing her beautiful,flawless legs.
“Do you know what Nolan will do when he sees you? He’s gonna tear you apart and eat you rawwww” Nora dragged the”raw”.
“Gosh,sis! You look totally different, I doubt if Nolan will recognize you” Nora said.
“Thanks, Nora. But you look extremely beautiful also,I doubt if Gray will recognize you” Peyton replied with a wink.
“We should go now,I bet they’re waiting” Rahkel said, and with that, they left the room.
“The three ladies majestically walked down the stairs in short and slow steps,the music stopped,everyone paused to look at them.
Nolan’s glass of wine fell off his hand the moment he set his eyes on his baby.
There was no word to describe how beautiful and stunning she looked.
Her blue,diamond stoned dress was dazzling like fire,his mouth was left agape.
To crown it all,her makeup was second to non.
They walked to where everyone was,but people were still staring though, especially at Peyton who was beyond beautiful.
“I don’t mind eating you up right here and right now” Nolan went to her and whispers.
“Pervert” she giggled and Nolan laughed.
“d@mn,baby! If not that I know my baby so well already, I would said it’s you. You’re just….I don’t even know the word to use. Beautiful is understatement, d@mn!
Peyton giggled again.
“Thanks babes,you should say thank you to Rahkel” she said and Nolan held her hand,kissed it before proceeding to sit down.

The party was booming, everyone having a good time,Nolan and his baby were not excluded.
It was long before they started serving everyone food.
Peron’s was specially brought by Claire, the head of the maids and Peyton kept wondering why everything was weird today.
Why didn’t they serve her like everyone else,oh well,she collected and started eating.
She took the first spoon into her mouth,chewing slowly with her unique way of chewing that makes Nolan go haywire.
Second spoon,then she gulped it down with her wine.
On the third spoon,she chummed on something.
It was hard, but definitely not a stone.
“What’s wrong,candy heart?” Nolan asked,pretending.
“I just chummed on something” she said and tried to bring it out from her mouth with the serviette.
While Peyton was trying to get it out from her mouth,Nolan was already on his knees,cause he knew what was in her.
“It’s… It’s a…ring? She asked,then turned to see Nolan kneeling.
“In you I find happiness, in you I find joy. Ever since I came across you,my life hasn’t been the same.
You complete me,Peyton McKenzie.
“A delicate part of me is empty,come live in it and complete me. Grant me this wish,make me the happiest man on earth by saying yes to me.

I don’t think i can live a second without,i don’t want this to be for a while,but forever.

“Peyton McKenzie,will you marry me? Nolan finally popped the question.
Peyton was extremely shocked. Like,this was least expected,and it came so early also.
Everything now makes sense. No wonder he hid something from her at the boutique,the heavy makeup and the rest.
So Rahkel and Nora knew about this,no wonder they wanted her to look extremely good.
Isn’t this too early? Well,it’s not too early when you’re with the right person.
With shock written all over her face,Peyton didn’t know what to say.
She was too happy that she completely lost her voice and could’nt utter a word. The love of her life just asked her to marry him.
She was crying already and looking at everyone who was looking and eagerly waiting for her to say yes.
Nolan was becoming scared already,what if she says no?
“What if she says she’s not ready? What if……
“Yes,Nolan. I will mary you. Yes yes and yes! She added.
“Yes? She said yes! Oh my gawd,she f*cking said yes” Nolan said and wore her the ring.
“Awww,and she said yes” everyone chorused.
“So this party wasn’t just about family reunion,it was an engagement party also” Peyton thought.
“Thank you,baby. This is the best day of my life” Nolan said as he hugged her before capturing her lips,kissing her passionately.
Flashes of cameras from every corner as everyone took pictures of the beautiful moment.
Roses were flying from all angles as they continued to kiss.
Nolan broke from the kiss and whispered in Peyton’s ears.
“We’ll finish this in the bedroom but now,let’s party”
Payton gulped down nothing and smiled nervously.
