.
I woke up before Austin. He was fast asleep
with his hands firmly wrapped around my waist.
I gently removed his hands from my body and
made way to the bathroom.
I felt so dirty considering the fact that my
husband is the only man I have slept with until
now.
I just stood under the shower enjoying the
coolness of the running water.
βElizabeth, you did nothing wrong. Your
husband doesnβt deserve any loyalty from you.
What are you even saying, you both are good as
divorced!!β. I consoled myself with these
thoughts.
βBabe are you bathing?β. Austin asked.
Hearing Austin call me babe made me feel a
little bit awkward.
I kept quiet.
βCan I join you babeβ. Austin asked.
βThis doesnβt feel right Elizabeth. You can stop
now, itβs not too late trust me!β. A voice said to
me.
βAre you kidding me? Where else will you get
another man like Austin? He is humble and he
loves you more than life itself. Babe calm down
abegβ. Another voice whispered to me.
I didnβt know when I shouted βSTOPβ from the
top of my voice.
Austin felt startled and left. He thought I was
shouting at him.
I quickly dressed up and joined him in the
palour.
He was looking so downcast.
βDo you h@tΓ« me nowβ. Austin asked looking
gloomy.
βNot at all. I didnβt mean to yell at youβ. I said
defensively.
βIf you want me to never show up again, please
tell me nowβ. Austin said.
βPlease donβt say that. I donβt want you to
leaveβ. I said as I leaned closer to him.
βSo what are we doing exactly? Are we a couple
now?β. Austin asked looking me straight in my
eyes.
I didnβt know what to reply back. I was not sure
if I was ready for any commitment but on the
other hand, I still wanted Austin to remain by my
side.
βAre we together now?β. Austin asked again.
βYesβ. I didnβt know when I said that.
Austin quickly hugged me excitedly.
βThank you Elizabeth. I promise to make you
happy for the rest of your life. From the first
time I saw you, I knew you would be mineβ.
Austin said triumphantly.
I just sat there not knowing how to react.
So when are you divorcing your husbandβ.
Austin asked.
βHuh!β. I said surprised.
βI want us to get married as soon as possible
babeβ. Austin said with all seriousness.
βDonβt you think you are moving too fast?β. I
asked.
βI canβt wait to make you mineβ. Austin said
grinning from cheek to cheek.
βInterestingβ. I said.
My phone started ringing.
βWho is that?β. Austin asked seeing how
reluctant I was to take the call.
βItβs my husbandβ. I said.
βPut the phone on speakerβ. Austin instructed.
I did as he instructed.
βHello Elizabeth. I am so sorry for treating you
badly, please forgive meβ. My husband said
from the other end of the line.
I was taken aback. I was never expecting to
apologize. Not in this life.
βAre you for realβ. I asked surprised.
βI have thought about it, I donβt want to be apart
from you. Please come back home. Forgive this
clueless husband of yoursβ. My husband said.
I started crying.
βWell sorry to disappoint you, sheβs mine nowβ.
Austin interrupted.
I was livid. I immediately ended the call.
βWhat was the meaning of that?β. I asked
angrily.
βI donβt understand you Elizabeth. Donβt tell me
you still want him backβ. Austin fired.
βYou have no right to meddle in my affairs like
thatβ. I said vibrating.
βYou are funny Elizabeth. Have you forgotten
what that man did to you? He chose his family
over you. He chased you out of your
matrimonial home and crashed your business.
How can you be lenient with such a man?β.
Austin asked angrily.
βWhat are you even feeling like? If itβs because
of this house you got me thatβs making you
rude, then I no longer want itβ. I said angrily and
walked out of the house.
My husband on the other hand was still calling
my phone nonstop.
