{Flashback: Swapped At Birth}

Sylvia was still venturing into the cold room, shivering coldly as well when she heard a voice in her ear.
” Hello? Bosslady? Are you there?” Foster communicated through the ear pod, then Sylvia touched it with two fingers.
” I’m all ears.” She replied with a slightly shaky voice.
” Silver Bullet is down. Your empire has been destroyed and reduced to crumbles, there’s nothing left again.” Foster said gravely, and Sylvia felt her breath seize as the line got disconnected.
Her heart was pumping fast, adrenaline rushed through her bloodlines and she started panting… Panting like she had never done before.
Fear and grief gripped her at once, but in spite of all these, she went further into the cold room. It got more colder as she went deeper, and she held herself while shivering.
She had not much time left. She could feel her heart hurting so much. She had to find out what was in that room, fast.
She later got into the brighter part of the room, where ice was lying around, freezing to give anyone a fever.
She saw a body lying in a corner, Wendy’s body. She was crouched up, dying slowly and shivering insanely with her back turned at her.
She went closer and bravely touched Wendy. She slowly moved and turned back to look at Sylvia with misery written on her face.
A little bit of shock was evident on her face on seeing Sylvia. There was silence between them for so long as they stared.
Wendy looked upon her long silver hair, and her eyes widened even more shockingly as she looked back at her silver eyes.
It was like finding a precious item that you lost. Sylvia could feel a warm spark in her heart for no reason, and she wondered why.
Suddenly, they heard numerous footsteps. Sylvia looked back at the door to see many policemen rushing in. They all surrounded her and pointed their guns at her, then Black walked in.
He was looking really cold and heartless as he stared at her, then he smiled evilly.
” I have you trapped in my web now, Bosslady. Give up, or I’ll kill you mercilessly.” He said with a dark tone.
” I’ll never succvmb to you. I’ve made an oath with my life that I’ll never die without killing Thorn. I can’t break that oath yet. I’m Sylvia Shadow, Great Donna of Silver Bullet Empire. There’s nothing you can possibly do to bring me down.” She spoke with pride, and Black scoffed.
” Your empire crumbled to bits a long time ago, Sylvia. Your mafia days are over, Your game ends now.” Black returned.
” I never needed an empire to make me the strong woman that I am today. I became strong even before I built my empire.” Sylvia glared viciously at him, rolling out two guns in her hands.
Black made a hand signal for the cops to start shooting. Without delay, they all shot with rapid fire at her.
Sylvia started flipping in the air, dodging and moving with súch agility and skill. Her movements were so insane as she dodged every bullet without getting a single hit.
The men soon ran out of bullets, and their guns stopped working. They dropped their guns as they got thrown into disarray, and Sylvia smiled cruelly. It was now her turn.
She started using the guns to shoot down the men one by one. They all went down groaning in pain and died, and their blood painted the whole ice room red.
Black was looking freaked out, then he grabbed his gun and tried to shoot her. He was out of bullets as well, and that was when Sylvia killed all the men and turned to him.
She started laughing, laughing at how desperate and scared Black looked.Her laughter died down, then she wore a thick frown and aimed both her guns at him firmly.
Before she could shoot, Shadow rushed in and interrupted, causing her to lower her guns slowly. He was panting profusely.
” Sylvia… Stop. Please don’t kill him.” He pleaded breathlessly.
Wendy was caught dumbfounded as she stared at the two identical men. She caught a hidden birthmark at the back of Shadow’s ear as well, and her eyes widened by triple times.
She saw it clearly, her eyes weren’t deceiving her. He was really the one, he was still alive and right in her presence, after all these years.
” You… You’re…” She muttered shakily, and they all turned to her.
” It’s you. You’re that baby that I gave to Alice many years ago. I adopted you.” She said to Shadow, and tears rolled down her eyes emotionally as she remembered everything.
” What?” Shadow exclaimed as confusion hit his brain hard.
” And you…” She said, pointing at Sylvia.” I’d recognize that silver hair anywhere. You’re… My daughter.” Wendy spoke tearfully to Sylvia.
” The Füçk?” Sylvia muttered and staggered slightly, holding her exploding heart with a funny look.
♣ FLASHBACK ∞ 26 YEARS AGO ♣
The city of Rutland in Jamaica was at its night hours. The streets were lit up, and cars were driving across like every normal day.
Wendy and Shadow (Sylvia’s father) came out of a hotel, smiling and holding hands. They both looked younger, like in their twenties.
Shadow looked different though, because instead of having silver hair like Sylvia, his hair was black. Wendy looked a lot like Sylvia, and she was even more beautiful.
” It’s too dark to keep staying with you. Look, it’s night already. I spent 4 whole hours with you having s*x, you s*x freak.” Wendy spoke openly and pinched his nose playfully, making him laugh.
” I just wish you could spend the whole day with me instead, that you could be with me every single day. It’s not fair for you to go now.” He said and pulled her @$$ to himself, almost making their faces meet.
” But if I don’t return home soon, Thorn is gonna kill me. You know how your friend is.” She said, caressing his chest fondly.
” I’ve always been your husband from the start, Wendy. You were in love with me, we were both in a healthy relationship. I don’t know why you decided to break up with me and marry Thorn.” He said, and she sighed, looking down soberly.
” Did he force you into marriage while I was gone? Did he forcefully take advantage of you?” He asked seriously, and she seprated from him, folded her arms and turned her back against him.
” No, he didn’t force me into marriage. It’s all your fault that I ended up with him.” She accused.
” Me? How’s it my fault? I loved you, Wendy. I gave you everything I had. You left me and married my friend, and then I married Alice your friend as well. You dumped me.” He spoke hurtfully.
” I didn’t dump you, Shadow.” Wendy fired, turning back to him. ” You left me and travelled abroad to study while we were still in a relationship. You were gone for seven good years, and I couldn’t hold myself any longer. I’m a woman, and I have a heart with desire. Did you know how hard it was to reject every man tbat proposed to me while you were gone? Did you know how hard it was to abstain from s*x for seven good years, all because I was waiting for you? But you never came back! You didn’t! You left me!” She shouted at him emotionally, then turned away to cry.
Shadow was left speechless as he stared at her back while she sobbed.
” He had been asking for my hand in marriage while you were gone. I couldn’t resist anymore. I accepted his proposal and got married to him, and that was when I found you dating Alice already. You had been cheating on me with my friend as well before I knew.” She cried in tears.
” I never cheated on you. When I came back, I heard that you got married to Thorn, and I was devastated. I had to move on with my life as well and married Alice, just to get back at you.” He explained.
Wendy sniffed and dried her tears before slowly turning back to him.
” Well, it’s over between us. I only came to have s*x with you because I thought we still had something between us, but it’s obvious that our feelings for each other aren’t there anymore. I also wanted to tell you the truth.” She said.
” The truth? About what?” He asked curiously.
” I’m pregnant for you, Shadow.” She revealed, and Shadow gasped with wide eyes.
” What? B… But… It was just one night! The only time we had s*x together was today! How can you be pregnant for me already?” He said crazily.
” We had s*x two months ago as well. We both met at a bar, but you were drunk. We talked, then you said you wanted to show me something in a room. We went together, then you closed the door and had fun with me in that dark room. I didn’t say anything about it to anyone, till now.” She narrated.
Shadow panted and held his head, trying to gather his thoughts together. His brain was splitting apart as he tried to make sense of everything.
Wendy held his face and looked deeply into his eyes, as if she wanted to kiss. That calmed Shadow down as he stared back at her.
” There’s absolutely nothing to worry about. The child is yours, and you have to accept it.” She said firmly and left his face.
” But if Thorn finds out about this, we’ll both be dead meat. You have to pretend that the child is his.” Shadow said.
” Are you crazy? What is he asks for a DNA test and later finds out that the child is not his? Then he’d kill us for sure!” Wendy raved at him.
” Why in bloody hell would he ask for a DNA test? He’s your husband! He loves you so much, so he’d believe in you. You’ve had s*x with him as well!” Shadow retorted, and Wendy sighed with a worried look.
Shadow held her face gently and looked into her eyes. He kissed her passionately, and she responded actively in the kiss, kissing him back sweetly till he broke it.
” Alice is pregnant as well. It won’t be funny if she hears that this pregnancy belongs to me, so keep it a secret between us. It’s gonna be okay.” He assured her, and she smiled.
He rested her forehead on hers without leaving her face, then their eyes closed. They embraced themselves passionately afterwards.
♣ 8 – 9 MONTHS LATER ∞ AMBITION HOSPITAL ♣
Tension was built in the labour room as Wendy struggled give birth. She was sweating and in a lot of pains, and the doctors were with her, trying to get the baby out of her.
She has lost a lot of blood. They have to get the baby out fast, or else she’d die.
The doctors suggested a C-section to be performed on her, but she bluntly refused. She said she wanted to give birth to her baby in the natural way.
The baby’s head popped out of her v**ina. They were beginning to make some progress.
” ” Push!” The doctors told her, and Wendy lifted her back a little, giving it her all as she grunted and pushed out the baby with all her might.
The baby slipped out of her legs, and its cries filled the room. Wendy smiled upon seeing her baby, and a large smile was on her face as her baby was handed to her.
A while later, Wendy was transferred to another maternity ward with other mothers who had just given birth like her, and a drip of blood was passed in her arm to restore all the blood she lost during birth.
She woke up a few hours later, looking around the ward. The other mothers were still sleeping on her beds, then she sat up and saw baby Sylvia placed in a crib beside her.
She smiled, but her smile slowly disappeared when she saw another baby in a separate crib beside Sylvia.
The baby was Gold, and she was far more cuter and adorable than Sylvia. She was the same age as Sylvia when she was still alive, but her young look and stature always gave her off and made many think that she was a teenager.
Jealousy instantly struck Wendy, and her face turned bitter.
She looked to the mother’s bed, and was shocked to see Alice there. She was fast asleep and was also receiving blood into her arm.
That was when the cruel idea hit her, and she embraced it without warning. She immediately swapped the babies and smiled as she took Gold into her arms.
What she did was so inhumane and cruel, but she wasn’t thinking. She just wanted to have a beautiful baby to herself, even though Sylvia was beautiful as well.
She heard the doctors coming and fastly placed Gold in the crib beside her. She then pretended to be asleep as the doctors came into the ward.
