THE NIGHT BEFORE**

Saverina waited outside the room for Alice. The door open after a while and Alice stepped out.
“Do you really have to dress like a maid?” Saverina asked taking in Alice’s dress.
“Yeah.. I don’t wanna look suspicious” Alice replied adjusting her dress. “It seems better than that d@mn princess dress. I can finally breath well”
“Let’s go” Saverina said and they both head out.
Taking a peek on the guards, Alice frowned. “How are we going to get to hear the Queen”
“Leave to me” Saverina said.
“Don’t tell me you’re using your powers” Alice whispered.
“Of course, there’s no other way. Do you wanna go in with all of those guards around?” Saverina asked raising her brow.
At that moment Augustus appeared. They quickly hide themselves and watch him entered the Queen’s room.
“Okay I have a plan..” Saverina said looking back at Alice but she was no where to be found. “Alice?” She called darting her eyes around.
“Hey, over here” she saw Alice waving her hand to her from a distance.
“What are you doing?” Saverina asked in a low voice.
“C’mon” Alice said walking further.
“Hey” Saverina called but the girl kept walking. “Argh” she groaned and followed Alice. They secretly made their way to the back of the room. It was dark so it was easy for them.
“We could have..”
Alice covered Severna lips with her palm. “Shh, don’t speak so we can hear them. We are here already”
Saverina blinked severally and focused on her hearing. Alice was right, she hear the Queen’s voice. How did she know her way here?
“Don’t be surprised, I’ve done this a lot in California. You shouldn’t depend on magics all the time” Alice whispered. Saverina nodded her head slowly in agreement and the they both concentrate.
“How was he able to control it?” Augustus asked.
“I don’t know, maybe he’s getting use to it” The Queen spoke. “I didn’t expect him to yield”
“Me neither” Augustus said.
“He might escape this, there’s always many chances to destroy his imagine. Once the news of him hurting the crown prince gets out. The villagers will have to reconsider the fact that he has to stay in the palace” The Queen said.
Alice clinched her jaw. So that was the Queen’s plan. She wanted Zameil out of the palace.. but why?
“What about Derek?” Augustus asked, his mostly concern is about that jerk.
“I’ve talked to the king and he agreed to give Phaedra to Derek. I’ve staged someone to announce Derek’s death tomorrow morning. The wedding between Phaedra and Caesar would be done as fast as possible” The Queen said.
“Even if Derek survive I’ll make sure he doesn’t get into the palace” Augustus said.
Alice lips parted with shock.. ‘@$$hOles’ she thought.
Augustus left the room and went to search for Carlos. He ordered him to tell all the guards not to let Derek in. Unknown to him, Alice and Saverina was listening.
“That guard looks strong” Alice muttered.
“Let me handle this” Saverina eyes glowed. An injection magically appeared in her hand.
As Carlos made his way towards the guardhouse, he found a girl lying on the floor. With a frown he walked and crouched before to check on her.
“Hey!” He turn his head when he heard a voice behind.
Saverina who was lying on the floor stabbed his neck with the injection. Carlos gasped and fell unconscious to the floor. Alice came out from her hiding place. They both smiled at each other.
Carlos body was dragged into an empty room.
They made sure not to make anything suspicious.
Before the sun rises, Derek and Zameil came back.

BACK TO PRESENT***
Confusion swirled in Saverina eyes. The Queen has dark powers or could she be hallucinating?
The king eyes remain on Derek and Phaedra whose hands were intertwined. Separating them won’t be easy.. this is a mate bond. It was fated by the heavens.
“I’ll give you a chance to prove yourself worthy Derek.” The king finally said.
Phaedra looked up to Derek with bright face. Finally, there’s a chance she can be with the man she love.
Zameil look down at Alice. She was smiling her heart out. He slowly reach for her waist and drag her close to himself.
Alice gave him a questioning look.
“You did well” He said with a smile.

Getting to her room the Queen let out a loud frustrating groan. She ran her fingers through her hair and bit her lips hard.
She called for Old Gytha and the woman showed up almost immediately.
“Your Majesty” Old Gytha bow her head respectfully.
“We’re alone, be yourself” The Queen spoke and Old Gytha stood up straight. Her face was serious.
“The plan failed” The Queen clinched her jaw.
“What? Caesar and Phaedra won’t get married. Does that mean Derek is alive?” Old Gytha asked.
“Yes, what do I do? I think someone ruin this plan on purpose”
Old Gytha thought for a while. “There’s someone is suspect my Queen” she said walking close to her.
“Who is it?”
“Alice”
“Zameil’s clumsy bride?” The Queen asked.
“I wouldn’t describe her as clumsy. Just yesterday, she was different” Old Gytha described the whole scene where Alice defended Saverina.
“Hm, could she be pretending? Come to think it. She has never gone to check on her mother. Why do I feel like she’s someone entirely different?”
“I’ll make a research on her when I get to coven”
The Queen took a deep breath. “By the way, how long do I have to wait”
“Very soon my lady. Once the war of the Crow clan is settled. You’ll receive a good news”
The Queen let out a deep sigh. “Sadly, Lord Jacob won’t be on our side the way I want. Since my granddaughter is not getting married to his son”
“There are plenty of chances my Queen, you just need to be patient” Old Gytha said lightly. “And also, you need to control your anger my Queen, someone might know you posses a dark power..”
The door suddenly opened, Old Gytha quickly keep her head low while the Queen looked at the person who just entered. It was Augustus.
His eyes dart from the two women.
“Why didn’t you knock? How disrespectful” The Queen glared at him. She was silently hoping he didn’t hear what her and Old Gytha had discuss.
“What? Is there something I shouldn’t hear?” Augustus asked.
“What nonsense” The Queen scoffed. “You can leave” she said to Old Gytha. The woman bow and left the room.
“You seem close to her” Augustus raised her brow to the Queen.
“What’s wrong with getting close to my maid. She has been serving me for years” The Queen said.
“You’re just not that type of person” Augustus said.
“Our plan failed. How did Derek get in? I thought you said you’ll handle it” The Queen said.
“Someone knocked Carlos out and lock him up in a room. There’s only one person I suspect”
“Alice” The Queen said. “We’ll get another chance soon. Let’s stay low until the upcoming war is over”
Augustus nodded and leave the room. His face turn cold as he scoffed.
“Dark power?” He muttered.

Eleanor was feeling a bit sick. She heard about the dramas going on in the palace and never bother to show up.
Her worries right now was the twins. They have been behaving strangely lately and it was quite disturbing.
Remembering something, she stood up immediately and went to check her drawer for the book.
“What?!” She gasped.. the book wasn’t there anymore. She had forgotten to keep it well that night Mirabel took it.
“Where is it? Oh no” she mumbled, storming out of the room.
Meanwhile, Mirabel sat with Alex as they both smiled at each other. They have been talking since hours and both doesn’t want it to end.
“I might be leaving the palace soon, but I’ll make sure to find a way to come back to you” Alex said and Mirabel’s face drop with sadness.
“Better keep your promise or I’ll kill you” she warned and he laughed. It was beautiful.
“You shouldn’t look at another boy until I come back” Alex also said.
At that moment, Macbeth appeared from a distance as she watch both of them.
“Huh?” Confusion swirling in her gaze.
Before she knew it, Alex lean down and gently slam his lips on hers. Mirabel eyes widened she felt the butterflies in her stomach. She slowly close her eyes savouring the moment.
Macbeth bit her lips hard. Her heart hurts and her head spin in anger. How dare she?!
Alex pulled away. Her face was red as she kept staring at him.
“I’ll see you soon” Alex said and left.
Mirabel head back to her room after getting calm. She saw Macbeth standing beside the window.
“So, you guys are now together?” Macbeth asked without looking at her.
“You saw us?”
“Saw what?” Macbeth asked back.
“Oh, nothing” Mirabel breath out. “Do you wanna play?” She asked, hoping her sister would stop this cold attitude.
“I’m fine”
The door opened and Eleanor walked in with an angry look on her face.
“Mirabel” she walked further and face the young girl. “Where’s the book?”
“Book? What book?” Mirabel frowned.
“The one you took from my room the other day. Do you sneak into my room and take it again?!” Eleanor yelled. This would be the first time she would yelled this hard.
“I didn’t. It wasn’t me” Mirabel shook her head.
“Oh I know you won’t tell me the truth young lady. You’re in deep trouble” Eleanor said dragging her out of the room.
“Mom! It wasn’t me!!”
After they have left Macbeth lips curled up to a smirk. She crouched and reached for something under her bed. It was the book.
“I wonder why mom is over reacting because of a book” she mumbled staring at it. She remembered how her mom scold Mirabel the first night she stole it. She was pretending to sleep during that time.
She slowly open the book and her face was stun by what she saw. Her lips curve up with excitement.
“Well this is interesting”

“Haha, did you see her face? She was so Fuçked up” Alice chuckled.
“Tssk.. I love the look too. You should stay with Zameil from now on. He’ll protect you” Saverina said. They are both lying in the garden staring up to the dark sky.
“Huh? I thought you h@të him” Alice raised her brow.
“He proved me wrong. He doesn’t seem like a bad person like I thought. You’re married to him why aren’t you sleeping in his room” Saverina turn her head to Alice.
“It’s a force Marriage. He’s a jerk” Alice mumbled.
“The maid talks about Prince Zameil all day”
Alice eyes widened. “Huh? What do they say about him?”
“He’s handsome and so hot. They wish to spend the night with him and give him many children. Some even say how they get to touch his usual slightly exposed chest. Some say they get wet whenever he speaks or look at them and badly wish they can replace you. One even said she had once seen him his bathtub, the abs and mascular figure and she couldn’t help to bite her lips, while savouring the moment.. Some say…”
“Stop!” Alice sat up. Her face squeeze with anger. “Those Bîtches” she stood up and match her way to Zameil’s chamber.
Saverina smirked. “What a jealous wife”
Alice stormed her way into Zameil’s chamber. She saw a maid setting his bed but he wasn’t there.
“Where is he?” Alice asked giving her a cold look.
“His highness is in the bathtub” she replied, her voice tremble a little.
Getting there, Alice slam the door open. There he was. Inside the large bathtub enough to fit in seven grown men, Zameil had his eyes close as the maid help in refilling the water. Another maid just stood with a tray of wine. Alice noticed how she peek on Zameil.
Hearing his door slam open, Zameil eyes flew open and went straight to Alice. He was planning to go see her after his bath but she came instead. He frowned seeing the angry look on her face.
“Hey” Alice sweep her long hair backward. “Why do you have all these maids here while you are half naked?” She asked.
“What do you mean? I do this almost everyday” Zameil asked.
“I mean.. hey! Get out!” Alice faced the maid.
“Why should they? You can’t just send my maids away” Zameil spoke again.
“Yes I can. How will you feel if I let half of my B@@bs out or lay half naked in a bathtub and have the guards staring lustfully at me?”
“I’ll kill them” Zameil replied immediately.
“That’s how I’m feeling right now” Alice replied.
The maids jaw dropped and their eyes widened in terror. They didn’t need to be told twice. The bow and left immediately.
Silence rented the room as they both stared at each other. Alice was wondering what the Fuçk she is doing. Zameil on the other hand found this amusing.
“I want a drink” Zameil broke the silence with his deep charming voice.
“Huh?” Alice snapped out of her trance.
“You’ve sent my maids away, get me the drink” Zameil pointed his jaw to the drink on the table.
‘Fuçk you!’ Alice screamed inwardly. She took a deep breath and went to grab the drink to give him.
As she crouched down to give him, Zameil suddenly pulled her into the bathtub. She fell onto his chest and gasped.
“What the..” She couldn’t complete her word when she found his face so close and his body pinning her. His blue charming eyes was so captivating she couldn’t look away. His amazing scent filled her nostrils and the fact that he is half naked makes her heart beat crazily fast.
Being inside the water, reminds her of their first kiss.
“Your heart is loud” Zameil whispered. Her rosy lips parted but no words came out. She was breathing way too hard, her mind was in sync. He could sense the effect he has on her.
“You don’t want me but yet you don’t want to see me with other women”
“I.. I..” Alice couldn’t find her word cus he was saying the truth. She doesn’t even know what she wants.
Zameil reached for her face, his thumb caressed her lower lip gently. Gosh this girl before him is driving him crazy. He draw his lips close to her ear.
“Acting this way makes me wanna do dirty things to you”
That’s it, Alice couldn’t control herself anymore so she whispered.
“Do it already”
