“Actually…..”I said slowly
Geez,I don’t know how to break the news to him.we’ve been together for a year or so,I can’t break his heart like that.
“What’s it”he asked staring keenly at my face.Just with his expression,I could tell he was worried.
“I..need a break”I said finally and paused to see his reaction.
“A break?what break?”he asked looking confused.
“A break in this relationship”I replied averting my gaze from his.
His expression at that time was unexplainable,I couldn’t even fathom what he was thinking at that moment.
“Derrick”I called jolting him out of his thoughts.
“It’s fine”he said with a smile.Even the dumb will know that it is a fake smile.”there is no harm in taking a break,so far we aren’t breaking up”ha added and hugged me.
I snuggle closer to feel his warmth,too bad,it will end soon.
“Break is over,we have to get back to class”I said breaking the hug.
“Let’s go together”he said pulling me along.
What if Tyler sees us together?with that I pulled my hand from his.He turned to me with a surprised look.
“What is wrong”he asked.I swallowed into nothing looking for a perfect excuse.
“Nora is waiting for me”I answered and rushed out without waiting for his reply.
?Tracy’s pov?
“Thank You sir”I said bowing down to collect my pay for the day.I rushed out of the mall,I have to get home real quick.it’s late and mom doesn’t fancy night movement,I had to work overtime for my boss.
I rushed to the road side to board a cab.I got home in no distant time.
I just pray that mom should not be at home,I want to avoid her trouble today.
“Where are you coming from,miss”she said immediately I got inside.Geez,what kind of bad luck is this.I took my lower lip inside my mouth,mom had already told me not to work overtime but now I’d disobeyed her.
“I warned you not to work overtime but you refused to listen”she said glaring at me.I look down immediately,wishing the ground would open and swallow me.Mom glares are daggers.
My phone buzzed,I brought it out to check ignoring mom glares.I just have the feeling that the notification is from BHS.I read the notification.
“Mom,I got the scholarship to BHS”I shouted happily.”that doesn’t stop the fact that I am angry with you,congrats darling”she said with a smile.
Next day?
I walked out of my room with a smile on my face,blossom high here I come…….
