CHAPTER FIVE: A NIGHT TO REMEMBER 4 ( HER ANGEL )
Thanatos furrow his eyebrows at her innocent smile, one will think she knows absolutely nothing in this world ” why?” I use my hands to push her backwards a little ” do you think your body can actually satisfy me?’
She frown ” so why did you ask for a one night?” Just like my hard work fail, she step closer once more, making me wish I can just push the wall backwards and have room to move away from her ” you make it sound like am the only one wishing to touch the other ”
” Indeed ” I nod, pushing her back ” I have no desire or what so ever to touch you ”
” What was your reason for saying that?” I furrow my brows and she continue ” you ask my father to permit you ”
” Oh ” noticing the anger in her eyes, I just smile ” it was just a silly joke ”
” Silly?”
I frown ” why will you want someone to touch you? I won’t wish to taint you ”
” Why do you feel am a virgin?” She step closer ” what make you think am untouched” she furrow her brows and I frown
” That’s preposterous” looking at her, I mumble ” why will you let someone who haven’t wed you, touch you? That will only make your body unholy!” She remain standing, looking at me with rised brows…of course, she is human….what most of them think of is sëx and nothing more.
Worst is getting into that before being committed ” am not interested” walking pass her, I move back, sit on my bed and cover my face with my hands, they is no way she will agree to leave this room before the next day, I look at her and watch how she look around the room with pout lips.
Covering my face again, I admit to myself, this woman scares me, they is no way I can relax when am close to her, that too….. telling me she is not a virgin is the only way to tell a man that you’re free to touch her.
Dropping my hands, my gaze meet hers, she place her hands behind her and smile, giving that innocent smile ” fine ” mumbling, her smile widen and before I could know what’s happening, she lay on the bed and her head on my lap…so we are looking at each other.
Clearing my throat, I try my best to avoid eye contact ” lord Thanatos?” She called
” Hmmm”
” Are you really gay?” I turn at her question, planing to reply her with a yes but she beat me to it with another question ” is it true you haven’t kiss a woman before?”
” Why?” I frown ” do you wish to kiss me?”
” No ” I read her eyes, she really doesn’t want to ” Your lips are scary, they may look red but it seem dark ” she lift her fingers, touching my lower lip, I notice how she concentrate on them ” they look alive but same time dead ” our gaze meet each but before she could take her fingers away, I lick it….resulting in her face being red.
” So you actually blush ” I touch her face ” cute ”
” You’re joking” she slap my hands away and sit up ” I have to go ”
” Where to?” I hold her hand ” this is our night together, have you forgotten?” I started this game but by the time she lean close to kiss me, I back away, resulting in me falling to the bed and covering my mouth like some woman.
This is the worst situation I have ever been in.
Chloe lift her brows ” what’s wrong?” She lean close ” I thought you wanted a night with me? One will think that I have some sort of disease” she is angry, from the look of things, she is really angry.
” Move back ” I murmur but she lean close.
” I didn’t get you”
Without saying any more words, I place my hand on her forehead and push her, I had no idea I use a lot of force, she fell from the bed to the floor…..either way, I am able to breath.
” Hey!!!!”
” I told you not to get close ” I growl, sitting up and frowning ” one will think you’re planning on raping me!!!”
She scoffed while standing ” don’t you think you’re over reacting, that should be my line!!!” She growl ” it was just a kiss ”
” Unlike you, I plan to keep my body holy!!!!” I yell back, making us look like couples arguing on silly topic, why do I feel the need to respond to each of her stupid remark?
” Wow, is this how you react to women that have had sëx before?” She fold her hands ” men can do it but I can’t?”
” Indeed ”
” Why not?”
” Because you’re a woman!!!”
She move closer ” that doesn’t mean I have to live my life for the man!!”
” What are you saying?” I frown ” this is about someone pride, your pride ”
” What about yours?” She fold her hands and give me a look like am some gigolo” is your pride intact?”
” Wow ” standing to my feet, I look at her ” do not talk to me like we are married or in some couple arguments”
” Or what?” She move close, closing the space between us ” will you cry or crawl to the corner that a woman who isn’t a virgin plan to touch you?”
” Don’t be ridiculous!!!”
” Why do I keep talking to you?” She look at me, up and down ” you’re not worth it ” she turn around to leave but I hold her hand, stopping her right there ” what is it?” Am still confused at to why she is angry.
” Do you want to kiss me that badly?”
” Huh?”
” Do you wish to kiss me that badly ?” I repeat myself, Pinning her to the wall, she didn’t avert her gaze, just kept staring at me before hissing…..that hurt my pride, who do this woman think she is?
” Is not like your lips is special from others ” she push me back ” If i need a kiss, I will get it from someone else”
” Chloe ” I frown ” you keep speaking like someone adore you, haven’t you realized that you’re alone because people keep dying around you?”
” Then will you marry me?” And there it is, the proposal, she keep saying those words as if it will end her problems ” or will you take me away from here?” I look at her, desperation in those eyes.
” No ” I turn it down, wishing not to add anymore confusions in my life ” I do not have any need for you in my life ”
” Lord Thanatos” she frown ” if you do not agree, I will track you down and release your deepest secret to the whole world ” the look in her eyes, it seem she already knows it, who I really am.
” What do you mean?”
She fold her hands ” I can see everything ” stepping backwards, she continues ” the wings on your back and horn on your forehead, if I look closely, I can see you ” she step closer ” what are you?” I step back and she step closer ” are you my angel? Sent to save me?”
” Angel?” I mumble and she nod looking excited ” indeed ” do angels have horn? What a silly girl, to think that she looks at Happy at that fact of me being one” you seem excited ”
She nod ” it means you belong to me” and it was then, I knew I made a mistake.
