CHAPTER SIX: A NIGHT TO REMEMBER 5
Chloe remain seated on the bed, the sun already went to sleep and the sound of water in the bathing room alert me that Thanatos is washing off all his bodily sweat, images of his naked body flood my head, lifting the pillow, I cover my face and scream into it.
What am I thinking? Thanatos naked body? I do know that we might get freaky this night but I should atleast try to be shy…..that’s what anyone would do.
Getting up, I look at my image in the mirror, pick up the brush, brush my hair slowly and lick my lips, I wonder what he will be like on bed, I do know alot of things on bed but will it be enough?
Why am I getting nervous?
Sitting back on the bed, the door to the bathroom open, Thanatos walk out with towel wrap around his waist and another on his hair ” you’re still awake?” He look at me while my eyes eat up his naked chest and broad shoulders ” what are you looking at ” he growl, covering his chest and I hiss.
Why do he always act like a virgin?
” You should go to bed ” he frown, moving to his closet ” it’s quite late ”
” That’s something I should worry about, not you ” I growl, he grab his clothes and walk back into the bathroom, to dress up….. I never thought he would be shy to stand naked right in front of me.
I mean in novels, they always do that, showcase their body ” what a man ” laying down on the bed, my gaze travel to the window and am left thinking, from this point on, how am I supposed to live peacefully without Thanatos, I need him around.
He could be my guardian angel, the only one that can save me. But how can I make him stay? How will I make him want me? I have been thinking of so many ways but nothing is ringing in my head.
What do he like in his women? Why won’t he let me stay with him? If he is my guardian angel, he should be with me ” Chloe?” Hearing his voice, I turn around and notice him putting on black short and black singlet ” you’re still awake” he frown and I sit up, not smiling nor am I angry.
” Thanatos?”
” It’s lord Thanatos to you ” he growl, moving closer and sitting on the bed ” what is it?” Leaning closing, I hold his hand and he look at me.
” You won’t leave without me right?” He said nothing, just stare at me ” you have to take me with you, I promise I can be useful”
” This is weird ” he frown ” you usually ask me for marriage ”
” You might have someone you fancy”
” I do not ”
” Then you must wish to remain unmarried ” I purred ” since you’re an angel?” That made him smile before he laughed.
” Not necessary ” he lean close but when I lean close, he withdraw, I don’t understand him, do he want to get close or not? ” I just decided to keep my body holy ” why do he keep going on and on about keeping his body holy?
” Marry me ” I press on ” and I promise you that I won’t touch you, I will also prevent other women from getting close ” he finally look interested.
” How do you supposed that will work?” I watch interest dance in those eyes
” I can’t guarantee that women won’t get close but they will be few….no women will openly approach a married man ” he nod, understanding my words ” and I will be your wife ”
” Chloe ” he look at me ” the only woman am scared of is you” I frown ” you keep giving me that hungry eyes ” he use his hands to cover his body ” one will definitely get scared ”
” You’re a man and am a woman ” I frown ” of course I will want something from you ” I lean close ” why? Aren’t you interested in the deal?”
” i will think about it ” he mumble ” you should sleep ”
” After a peek”
He furrow his brows ” a peek?” He stood up ” what do you mean ” evil smile slowly creep into my face ” stay back!!” He growl but that didn’t stop me, oh no…I stood up and fasten my steps to get him, he moved backwards.
I tried to move faster which result in me falling down, hitting his body and he join me on the floor, laying on his body, I lift my head up and stare at his shock expression before he could react to anything, I kiss his lips.
Not a deep kiss, just light on his lips but from the look in his eyes, it do seem like the first time someone kiss him…. He push me off his body, for the first time, he look really scared of something, could they be someone behind me?
Looking back, I saw nothing ” are you …” I stop talking when I discover he is nowhere to be found, did he just run away from me? Wait? Was he scared of me?
I can’t believe this.
Thanatos stood outside for a breath of fresh air ” how could she do such a thing to me?” My hands remain on my lips, no one, no one has ever done such a sinful act towards me before, kissing me? How dare she!!!
Looking at the trees, I clench my hands tight, this woman, even when I made time to stand still, thinking she won’t be able to run towards me, she did, she walk fine….that only means my powers doesn’t work on her.
Who is this Chloe?
” You look rather disturbed?” Freya voice made me look left.
” I should ask you same, why are you out here, that too …this late ”
” The thought of you touching Chloe is rather disappointing ” I look at her, she is jealous but she did get something wrong, I didn’t even try touching Chloe, I seem to be the one being hunted right now ” but seeing you out here, that only means, she was no fun ”
” Fun?” I smile ” she is lot of fun, too much that it has become scary “frowning I mumble ” but now, I don’t think I can stay away ”
” Milord?” She walk closer ” what do you mean?”
” Chloe is an excellent girl ” I smile ” the act of bed making was exciting, thanks to her splendid knowledge of bed making ”
” Do you prefer your women touched? ” She shake her head ” I mean experience in bed?”
” It is something I never knew was scary” my eyes went back to the stars ” Chloe makes everything fun and scary at same time ”
” You talk fondly of her ” jealousy and anger evident in her voice ” I had no idea you two were this close ”
” Close?” I frown ” I won’t go far ” I look back at her, her skin slowly losing its beauty, old age is a cruel fact to human ” she is someone I need to keep close”
” What about me?” She look at me, confusion in her eyes ” aren’t you planning to marry me?”
Ignoring her question, I purred ” if someone is to see you with me, rumors about your purity will spread ” I smile ” I won’t want that ”
” But milord, you need to know how much I fancy you ” she hold my hand and I look at her, hating the contact, pulling back, I look at my chamber window and flinch at the sight of Chloe.
Her eyes look dead, one will think she is about to kill someone, like some jealous wife ” I hope you don’t get the wrong idea ” I clear my throat and look at Freya ” I have to go back to my chamber”
” Milord ”
” If I don’t go now, bad luck might befall me ” after saying that, I walk back to my chamber, shutting the door, I look at Chloe still standing close to the window
” isn’t this kind of bothering” she look at me ” I can hardly see anything through this hard glass ”
” You mean, you weren’t looking at me?”
” I was trying to but I just couldn’t” she turn to my direction ” why? Is they something you need to show me?” How can she look this excited over anything. And to think that I was scared over nothing.
I constantly ask myself why am scared of her, she is so small.
” No ” moving back to the bed, I lay down and cover my body, eyes closed, determine to fall asleep peacefully without her disturbance but how could I dream of something like that?
Throughout the night, I lay awake, while Chloe uses each of her legs to hit me, until am off the bed, to the floor.
How unlucky has my life gotten!!!!!
