“Who is she?” Camila’s grandfather asked as he roamed his eyes down Melanie who stood quietly beside Camila. “A stranger that needs our help” Camila replied and he turned to Melanie.
“Where exactly are you going?” He asked and Melanie replied ”The wolves kingdom,that is where I am going”
Camila and grandfather were kind of surprised at her reply, the next thing that runs through their mind is “Why will she want to go to that dangerous kingdom?
“Wolves Kingdom?” Grandfather asked and she nodded, “It’s very important, I need to get there tonight” she said in a pleading tone which kind of made them more suspicious of her “why tonight? Why go to that dangerous place?” Camila spoke up.
“I was sent on a Mission and I must fulfill it” she said and that made Camila scoffed “What kind of Mission is that?” she asked but Melanie uttered no words.
Phoenix scoffed again as she remembered what Olcan said earlier “coupled night? As in Intimacy?” She found her mumbled out forgetting her maids are still dressing her up.
They stopped and looked at her “Luna, are you okay?” Mira asked and that is why she came into reality that she just muttered that Sh|t out.
“Did I say that out loud?” She asked looking lost which made Livia touched her forehead “My Queen” she called,
“ What do I do?” She stood up and started biting her lips “Luna, split it out,what is the problem?” Mira asked and she looked at both of them.
“How do I tell him that I’m not ready for any Intimacy, I mean I can’t just be coupled with someone that dragged me here, he is not the one I love!” she rasped, Livia and Mira finally got what was going on with her.
“You mean you don’t want the coupled night between you and Alpha?” Livia asked and she nodded Immediately.
“Why will you say that Luna? It’s part of the rites you must do, Tonight will be red moon, the wedding will be completed and after that, You two will have to do it, tonight” out of blue, her breath seized
“a must?” She repeated gazing unto their both eyes, Livia and Mira nodded positively.
What will she do? She can’t do this,
Suddenly, they heard one of the Alpha’s guard voice here for Luna “Luna, the Alpha requested for your presence” He said aloud and that alone made her heart thump.
Shortly, she got to Alpha’s chamber but was so surprised to see the lady that attempted to kill her that night, why is she here? Smiling like she never did anything wrong.
“Phoenix, move closer” Alpha beckon her as he noticed her steps slackened obviously because of Ameera’s presence.
She sat beside him composing herself “So my Queen is here since you are here to pay respects to both of us” Alpha said and Ameera smiled, deep down she was angry and Olcan knew it, she is just faking the smile.
“Yeah, you two really looks good and I wish you blessed home” she said and Alpha nodded while Phoenix only kept quiet still confused of why she is pretending, it’s so obvious that she didn’t like her to the extent that she tried to kill her, she can vividly remember all what she said that night.
Alpha could hear her thoughts and her panic so also Ameera but she still had a silly grins on her lips.
“Trust your mother is doing well also, I wondered why she hasn’t gifted the royal family new painting” He said and she smile
“I will definitely remind her, she is working on one” she told him and he nodded.
“I need some private moment with my wife” he said even though he knew that would make her more angry but she covered up with her fake smile.
“I will take my leave now” she bowed and slowly stride through the door, walking out, she glared back at the closed door in fury, why can’t it be me? Her bump fisted on its own in anger.
Turning around to walk away, Alpha’s voice stopped her “it can never be you Ameera and Don’t try to mess with me, you gonna regret it” she glared back at the door and huffed before stumbling away.
“Olcan, why did you allow her here? She almost killed me that night, I would have been died” she rasped immediately Ameera left and Olcan smirked, surprised her by Stroking her hair softly.
“That’s not going to happen as long as I am here, She is one of my subjects and one of the strong wolf, her father is one of the elders, that was why I let go of what she did or else, I’m ready to eliminate whosoever mess with my Luna” he said with so much seriousness in his eyes which got her speechless.
Why does he care so much? Why is he looking after her just like her mother will do?
Of course, he heard her thoughts.
“ I care so much about you as my Luna because you are part of my existence” Phoenix scoffed and stood up.
“That is totally nonsense, part of your existence?” She folded her arms facing him and he nodded.
“I don’t think that is it, I’ve been here for more than five nights, I’ve not been doing anything and besides there is this strange feeling like I’m going to bring bad luck to your kingdom” Olcan stood up to her and held her hand.
“Why will you bring bad luck to my kingdom? There is no sign that you gonna do that and by the way, we should Complete the wedding rites tonight”
Her heart skipped at once, “The oath? Does … .does that means… we…I mean we will have a coupled night tonight?” She asked with her heart pumping up and down which made Olcan smirk.
“Are you scared?” He asked but she shook her head negatively almost immediately “of course no but don’t you think it’s too soon and I need to think about it” she mumbled and he shrugged, “there is nothing to think about, You are mine already” That alone makes her tummy cringed.
Geez! Can’t he for once stop making her feel this way? Their gaze burned into each other as the room became silent like a graveyard not until she looked away and spoke up.
“Can’t you use your super power to bring my mother here, I missed her” there is a slight sad expression in Olcan’s eyes immediately she said that.
“ I will think about it” he sighed and walked up to his table picking up the watering can to water his little Rose flowers,
“Think about it, Is it something you should think about?” She asked and he shrugged.
“My Lord” Phoenix gasped in surprise at how Lucian appeared out of nowhere.
“I need to get used to it” She mumbled as Lucian bowed and walked up to Olcan.
“My Lord” he whispered but Olcan never bothered as he only continued to water his little flowers, Phoenix scoffed at his attitude and sat on his bed edge folding her arms.
“Is it about the red moon?” He finally spoke up and Lucian nodded “The preparations has started already”
Phoenix’s heart couldn’t help but slam against her chest, is she really going to intimate with him? Will it really Happen?
Olcan smirked as he listened to her thoughts.
“There is a stranger in this village, she has the same mission” Layzal told Edgardo and that made Edgardo furrow his brow. “ A stranger? Same mission?” He asked and he nodded,
“I overheard the whole conversation while I was trying to locate food to eat and that was how it came to my hearing”
“Then we need to locate the stranger if he has the same mission as us, he will be a really great help” he said but Layzal shook his head “No, She is a woman” Edgardo was kind of surprised and confused “A woman? Wait, why will she have the same mission?” That is where his confusion came in.
“She is searching for the Fire orb” immediately he said that Edgardo ‘s eyes almost plucked out of its socket.
“Fire orb! Sh|t! That means Phoenix is in danger!” He ranted and that made Layzal furrowed, “What exactly is this fire orb about?” he asked.
“The core of every fire bloodline”
“core?as in Life” Layzal repeated and he nodded.
“That means the stranger is planning to hurt her,” Edgardo said and Layzal nodded.
“Still, she can help us, I feel like she has something that can help us into the kingdom” Layzal said while Edgardo still had this doubt though.
“Tonight must be our successful night” He said and Edgardo nodded.
Phoenix stood up slowly, exhale her breath trying to calm herself down. Is this really happening?
“My Queen” Mira chirped into her thought and she swirled her head to her
“Is it time already?” She asked and she nodded.
“Luna, you should really feel lucky, you shouldn’t feel bad. Alpha has been a good leader so far everything he does is always in favor of everybody. Most ladies will kill to have him but here you are having him all to yourself. I shouldn’t say perfect but to Me, Alpha Olcan is the best man you should be happy to have” Livia told her and she became speechless.
She should be happy???
Standing next to him, her eyes moved slowly to him and Livia’s words came to her. “Now, it’s time to make the oath” Elder Guan announced and the couples were made to face each other.
He picked up the knife and that is when Phoenix came to realize this is what they started that last time but couldn’t finish.
He handed her the knife but before she can cut his palm, he covered her face to avoid her gaze to blood. Phoenix furrowed and wonder why he is doing this again, she could remember clearly he did that last time too.
Now it’s her turn to do the same process he did, as Olcan was about to covered her face again to avoid any ruckus like the last time but she stopped him. Elder Guan and other people were confused not quite getting what is going on. Why did the Alpha covered her face in the first place?
“Why? I want to know what you are hiding from me” she said in a Very serious tone and before he can stopped her, she cut his palm and the blood fell into the same bowl of her blood, the oath has been completed but she still held into his hand staring at the blood intensely.
“Phoenix, no” he took away his hand hurrily but it was already late, Phoenix moved back stiffed for a moment.
“What is going on?” Alpha’s mother stood up from her seat and moved closer while the packs had this confusion look and there is a mumbling “is what happened the last time happening again?”
The blood from the bowl squam together and the packs eagerly expected the results of the oath. Suddenly, the blood formed a Black Dragon up the hall which somewhere scared the packs.
“What is this omen? Black dragon?” Alpha’s mother mumbled.
The black dragon disappeared into the thin air and they were surprised when they couldn’t find the Alpha and Luna in the hall which causes another mumbling from the packs.
Elder Guan and other elders had this great confusion look.
“Phoenix” Olcan tapped her as he fast speeded into his room, he knew it is happening again, her eyeball changed into red already, her hair turns into grey even Olcan is kind of surprised. The last time, it was only her eyes all but now her hair??
“Phoenix” she screamed immediately his hand tapped her. Olcan couldn’t moved closer to her as the aura coming from her is that of fire. Her screams is so loud and powerful that it breaks down the Glasses in his room.
Olcan look around his room which has been turned upside down, how will he calm her down? Looks like she couldn’t control her powers,
“Phoenix?” He called and her breath calm down as if his voice controls her.
Her hand went over to head with her eyes closed as everything calm down.
Looks like she is back to normal but doesn’t looks like she is because she isn’t back to her normal look.
“Olcan” She opened her eyes looking around the room,
“What happened?” Why are we here? What happened to your room?” She questioned and Olcan shook his head,
“You couldn’t remember again??”
“The Glasses, what happ….?” she moved closer but stopped immediately her eyes came in contact with her mysterious look.
“A Monster?” Her hand went to her grey hair which makes her look totally different. She moved back scared at first.
“Why ….is my eyes red? Olcan, what is going on with me?” She shuttered unable to believe what she is seeing.
Olcan sighed not knowing what to say, maybe it’s time to know who she is.
“Olcan” she moved back unconciously when she came to realization that it’s not a illusion, it’s real.
“I’ve become a monster? How? When?” She fell to the floor, her heart slamming more harder because of the fear of what she has turned into.
“Phoenix “ he moved closer but she shook her head as she stares into space.
“It’s coming back, Everything…. “ she mumbled and her twenty-fifth birthday night replays in her head.
“No, this is not it, I can’t….. I mean my mother “ her voice is breaking already as it is vividly replaying in her head.
“Phoenix” before he can move closer, her yelled stopped him.
“Stop!!!!” Her breath become heavy as she couldn’t stop the tears that streamed down her eyes.
“Fire…I caused it….I killed…. I killed her, I killed my mother “ she bursted into fresh tears staring at her two hands in sorrow……..
