CHAPTER 46
LOUIS POV
As I stepped out onto the balcony of my room in the mansion, I was taken aback by the beauty of the view before me. I do not think that i would ever get used to this view. Spread out before me was a bustling cityscape, filled with busy streets, towering skyscrapers, and the hustle and bustle of modern life.
The sight was breath-taking, and I felt a sense of peace and serenity wash over me as I took it all in. The balcony itself was exquisite, a luxurious setting for enjoying the cityscape. It was spacious, with plenty of room for several people to gather and chat, or just take in the view.
The floor was made of polished marble, and the walls were lined with ornately carved wooden panels. In the centre of the balcony was a large, intricately designed fountain that sparkled in the sunlight. The railing was made of sturdy iron, with intricate designs and scrollwork that added to the elegance of the balcony. It was topped with a row of potted plants, and the scent of their flowers filled the air.
Beyond the railing, a wide stone balcony stretched out, providing a perfect spot for lounging and enjoying the view.
The view itself was incredible. The cityscape bustled with activity as people went about their daily lives. Cars moved up and down the streets, and the sound of their engines filled the air. As I looked out, I could see the skyline of the city in the distance, with its stately buildings, monuments, and parks. The sun was setting, and the sky was awash in beautiful colours of orange, pink, and purple. The sight was so beautiful, I couldn’t help but smile.
As the sun continued to sink lower in the sky, I watched the city lights come to life, making the sky sparkle and twinkle. It was an incredible sight, and one that I would never forget. I felt so lucky to be able to experience this view every time I come home because this balcony was truly a luxurious and exquisite spot to enjoy the beauty of the city.
Two figures caught my attention and I looked deeply. It was my son and Amy. They happened to be chit chatting and I smiled. They have been friends forever. Suddenly, the action before me gave me a scare.
I watched in horror as my son and his childhood friend embraced and kissed in front of me. They did not notice me as I stood by the balcony of my room upstairs. Ella and I were out of the country for some weeks now. We left two days after Amy’s birthday. Ella decided that we should go for a little trip, just the both of us. We rolled dices and ended up going to Paris. Ella was pleased because she had always wanted to go. Paris is really one of the most beautiful and enchanting cities in the world, and it is truly a pleasure to visit.
From its iconic landmarks to its cobblestone streets and world-renowned cuisine, there is something for everyone in that vibrant city. We visited the Eiffel Tower which stood tall at nearly 300 meters, the Eiffel Tower is a symbol of French culture and is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the world. We took a lift to the top for spectacular views of the city and a romantic stroll on the base of the tower to enjoy its beauty from the ground. We both had an exciting time and imagine my shock when I come home to see the sight before me.
I has known that they had been growing closer, but I had never imagined that it would come to this. I had hoped that their friendship would remain platonic, but it seemed that I had been wrong. My wife, Ella, and I had known Amy and her family even before she was born. Vera, Amy’s mother and my wife have been friends for ages.
Amy’s father, Clark Medina and I became friends by association. I have always been fond of Amy and I had always thought of her as an extension of our own family and had grown to love her as if she were our own daughter. However, i had never anticipated that James would be interested in Amy. I had always thought of them both as brother and sister, and the thought of them being together was abhorrent to us. I had to do something to stop it.
I saw James entering into the mansion and I sighed. He does not know that we are back yet.
“Babe, what are you looking at?” Ella hugged me from behind.
“Why are you here by yourself?” She asked and I turned to her, kissing her palms.
“Do you know that Amy and James are dating?” I asked her and she laughed.
“Really?” She asked me and I nodded.
“Well, how are you so sure? We just came back.” She said.
“I saw them.” I told her and she made a face.
“Well, I don’t know. They are still quite young and maybe they are just in their feelings.
They would grow out if it.” She told me holding my shoulders and massaging them slightly.
“Yeah. I hope so.”
“But it’s not so bad. Is it?”
“Babe, you are close to Vera. You have heard her talk about Amy’s wild days.”
“Come on Louis, she was fourteen.”
“Well, fourteen…eighteen…same thing.” I told her and she laughed.
“She can’t be as wild as I am though.” She said and pulled me close to her.
“You’re not wild, you’re crazy.” I told her as she pressed her lips to mine and we Fuçked on the balcony.

I had been watching James and Amy for days now. As everyday passed, I noticed that their relationship had grown stronger. I tried to wrap my head around the fact that they were no longer just friends. I could see the way they looked at each other, the way they laughed together, and the way they talked. It was obvious that there was something more between them. I had to admit, I was worried.
James was still young, and I wasn’t sure if this was the right time for him to be getting into a relationship. I wanted what was best for my son, and I wanted him to make the right decisions. Amy seemed like a nice girl, but I had my doubts. I had heard her parents talking about her wild streak, and how she had gotten into trouble in the past.
I wasn’t sure if James was ready for all of that.
I tried to talk to James about it, but he was determined to make his own decisions. He was convinced that Amy was the one for him, and that he wanted to be with her. I could only hope that he was making the right decision. I wanted nothing more than for him to be happy, but I couldn’t help but worry. I had to trust that he knew what he was doing. I had to let go and let him make his own choices, even if I didn’t approve of them. I just had to hope that he would make the right decision.
I talked to him one day. “James,” I said, a little hesitantly. “Are you sure about this? Are you sure you want to be with Amy?” He looked at me, his expression resolute.
“Yes,” he said firmly. “I love her, and I want to be with her.” I sighed.
“I’m just worried about you,” I said, trying to make him understand my point of view. “I want you to be happy, but I want you to make the right choices too.” James nodded. “I understand,” he said.
“But I know what I’m doing. I trust my judgement.” I could only hope that he was making the right decision. I had to let go and let him make his own choices, even if I didn’t approve of them. I just had to hope that he would make the right ones.
It started with little things. After dinner one night, I noticed that James had a small trinket with him, a necklace that Amy had given him. I was so concerned that I asked him directly about the relationship and he admitted that he was in love with her. My heart sank. I knew that it would be hard to convince him otherwise, but I had to try. I spoke to him about the commitment that comes with being in a relationship, the responsibility and the expectations. I wanted him to understand the consequences of taking such a big step too soon.
He was resolute in his feelings, however, and I knew that I had to accept them. I decided to focus on keeping them apart instead, and I started to plan ways to keep them from seeing each other. I had to be careful with this, though. I didn’t want to be too obvious and alienate James, so I had to make sure that I was subtle in my attempts to keep them apart.
