“Wait! Mommy’s mommy? Does that mean those are Janella’s daughters? Does that mean the girls are her granddaughters? OMG!!….” Mrs. Hills felt like she was actually dreaming.
How Janella just appeared in her house out of nowhere, with no announcement and…..oh dam!
[ FLASHBACK * YESTERDAY ]
Janella had just finished taking her night bath, and was at the mirror stan, creaming her body, when Jerome walked back into the room, after he and Blake talked for long about everything including Bryson’s case.
He immediately hugged her from behind, kissing her neck, sensually.
“How are you feeling, baby? Did you throw up again when you came upstairs?” He asked, concerned.
“No, I didn’t. Has your brother gone?” Janella asked, turning around to face him.
“Yeah. He said he was gonna stay till tomorrow though, but he had to go so he could keep an eye on Bryson” Jerome replied, holding her small waist.
“Oh” Janella mouthed, staring at his face. “So what now? I mean, Bryson, and even Blake your brother. What if the cops find out about what he did? That’s a criminal offence, you know?” Janella asked, a bit concerned about that.
“The cops are never gonna find out about it, Ella. Except someone tells them, and no one is gonna do that” Jerome replied her, rubbing her cheek softly.
“Baby, I know….come sit down let’s talk” Jerome suddenly said instead, holding Janella by the hand as they both walked to the big couch in the room, making her sit gently.
He sat down too, and immediately held her hands, which made Janella to wonder what he wanted them to talk about.
“No matter how much you push me away, or yell at me when I bring up this conversation, I won’t stop trying to reconcile you with your parents, Janella” Jerome said, and Janella just sighed.
“You need to free your mind….your heart, baby. You’ll only keep hurting yourself if you keep holding on to the past. I know what they is hard to forgive and just let it go like nothing ever happened. But I love you, baby. And I want your heart to be free of h@të and that pain lingering around it. I want you to be happy and let go of the past because it will always bring you nothing but hurt and pain”
“Do you like how you always come up with something to tell our kids, whenever they ask about your parents? Their questions are even worsening these days” Jerome continued to talk, and Janella could only sit still, listening to him.
She didn’t even want to argue with him anymore, because even though she was acting the opposite, she had been giving a serious thought on that for some days now.
“We are getting married soon, baby. And your need your parent’s blessing. You have to make peace with them so that we can start our married lives with pure hearts, free of grudges and resentment. Please, baby” Jerome finally concluded, with Janella hugging him immediately, pouting her lips like a little kid.
With that little action of hers alone, Jerome just knew they were heading somewhere, and this matter was going to be resolved soon.
[ CORNELL UNIVERSITY * NEXT DAY MORNING ]
The Three Stars Girls could be seen in sharing cards to people; their fans to be precise.
The Mr./Miss University contest is in two days, and they are already sharing cards to their fans.
“If I told you both that my brother is alive, would you believe me?” Jerome started, and like owls turning their heads in 360%, Fred and Brien funnily turned to look at Jerome as if he just lost his brains for saying what he just said.
“Bro….what are you saying, man? Is it the same Blake you said Bryson killed, or you have another cousin brother that we are yet to know?” Brien just couldn’t believe what Jerome was spewing out that moment.
“What’s going on, dude? Why such a question?” Fred spoke too, and Jerome just smiled.
He knew they wouldn’t believe him, because he himself didn’t believe it was actually Blake, if not for his birth mark. Then Blake would definitely be in prison, thinking it was Bryson at it again.
“Oh my f*ck! You have got to be kidding us” Both Fred and Brien exclaimed at the same time, when Jerome told them everything.
“These days are so f*cking d@mn crazy! Like, crazy things just happening in unexpected ways” Fred said, and Jerome couldn’t help but to smile hard at that.
Crazy things were indeed happening in unexpected ways.
Who would have thought that Blake was alive?
“Common, men. Let’s go to the hall and see what’s going on there. Can’t wait to see you win tomorrow, dude” Brien said, referring to Jerome.
They all got up and started heading to the hall like Brien had said.
“So, why did you quit being a contestant? Are you now a chicken like your bro there?” Jerome asked Brien, pointing at Fred whom he just referred to as a chicken.
“You know I can just kick and destroy your balls, right now, right? But I don’t wanna do that to Janella because she is is a good woman, and she deserves to enjoy life to the fullest. So thank your stars” Fred glared at Jerome who called him a chicken, and the dudes just burst out laughing.
“You are a f*cking mad as*hole, idiot!” Jerome fired back at him, and they all laughed again.
“D*ckhead, where the d@mn hell did you leave your phone last night? Was calling you, but you never picked, neither did you return the d@mn calls” Brien flared at the same Fred again.
“I was on a date with my woman, gat any problem with that?” Fred asked back, causing Brien to curve his brows.
Meanwhile, Jerome was busy laughing lowly, waiting for the bomb to drop.
“So you ignored my call because of that? A simple call, dude! May pu$$y not be the en of you….”
“And may singleness not be the end of you. You better go find yourself a woman, and stop disturbing people in serious relationships” Fred fired at Brien, and it was then that Jerome just burst out laughing hard.
“This is becoming too much. Jerome, can you link me up with Bia….”
“Did you smoke a cow’s dung? No, are you mad?” Jerome fired at Brien before he could even complete Bianca’s name.
“Lord, who did I offend?” Brien uttered out in a funny way, and they all just laughed out, heartily.
[ IN THE HALL ]
Lots of students could be seen in the hall, doing a little decoration inside.
Although, their school hall wasn’t the hall they were going to have the competition. In fact, it wasn’t even going to take place in Cornell University, since it wasn’t just one University contesting for it.
Anyway, it wasn’t long after The Pink Stars Girls arrived the hall, when the three guys walked in too.
“They are here. Gosh! I wish one of them was mine” The students began as always.
“If only he allowed me be his partner, then that night would be the sweetest one ever. But it still doesn’t matter anyway, I am going to win the competition, and I must have him. Even if it means drugging him” Lisandra was the one who shamelessly said that, as she stared at Jerome and his friend from a distance.
“I can’t believe Fred actually chose that girl, Lenora over me. It’s not like she’s even pretty, I wonder what he sees in her” Nita spoke too, feeling really jealous.
She literally asked Fred out, but he politely told her that he has no feelings for her.
The one night stand they had was a mistake, according to Fred. Now, that’s what is making Nita so jealous, learning that Lenora and Fred are in a relationship.
“Hey, baby boy. Remember the competition is in two days. I wish we were a team, we’d make a pretty good couple, right, baby boy?” Lisandra asked Jerome, as she walked up to him.
Jerome chuckled, turning to look at his friends who just rolled eyes at Lisandra.
Jerome was yet to reply her, when his Starshine and her friends walked into the hall too, after being told that the guys were here.
They had actually gone somewhere, with Janella looking for Jerome after they got back.
“Come here, Starshine” Jerome immediately held Janella’s hand that had her engagement ring, showing it to Lisandra.
“She’s my Fiancee, the mother of our adorable twin daughters, and soon to be my wife, as in…she’s gonna be Mrs. Meyers soon. So, do you still think we would make a “pretty good couple?” Jerome asked, stressing out those words so they could sink well into Lisandra’s ears.
~Wait, they are engaged?” Students who had no idea that Janella and Jerome were engaged, began to talk, with most of them gushing and blushing so hard.
~Whoa! She’s such a d@mn lucky girl. I can already imagine her walking down the aisle with him. Aww” Another one gushed.
“You three stayed longer than we thought” Jerome said, as they started walking away from Lisandra.
“You can never keep to time when you’re with those two pests” Janella replied, and he just chuckled.
“How are you though? I hope they didn’t stress you both?” Jerome asked, also referring to the baby inside her.
“Fortunately they didn’t. They were actually giving me a baby girl’s treatment” Janella replied, and Jerome could only smile hard at that.
[ BIG MOMMA’S HOME ]
Immediately Big Momma opened the door, Mrs. Hills just hugged her straight away, not even waiting for Big Momma to say anything yet.
“Thank you, mother. Thank for helping us get our daughter back. For making us complete again, for bringing us that peace and love we all once shared. Oh, my goodness, mother! Janella brought back home two beautiful and amazing and beautiful granddaughters, who already bonding so well with us. You needed to see them jumping around me and their grandfather like they had known us for long” Mrs. Hills just didn’t know how to express what she was feeling deep from the pit of her belly.
The feeling of having reconciled with her daughter was too overwhelming that she just kept and talking, chuckling alongside, and didn’t feel like stopping.
It really still felt like a dream to her especially.
Janella didn’t just bring home one good news, but she brought many.
She was getting married soon, and to the same man who got her pregnant right from the start of this whole matter.
Who knew? Maybe all this was meant to happen in the first place.
Not like what they did was right though. But maybe things would not have ended this way if her parents hadn’t taken that decision they took on her.
Maybe she wouldn’t have gone to stay with Big Momma, and she wouldn’t have decided to go do a one year programme in Cornell University where she met Jerome again.
Things would definitely not happen the way they later did. That was for sure.
Life is just so crazy and full of mysteries.
“You should thank your son-in law more, without him, well, I don’t know what would have happened. Be grateful to God for having a wonderful daughter and Son-in-law. I just hope history won’t repeat itself” That was all that Big Momma said, making her daughter-in-law law to shake her head, vehemently. Meaning, even in her wildest dreams, such will never happen again.
[ JEROME’S MANSION * NEXT DAY MORNING ]
“He’s gone, Jerome” Blake uttered out, as he made himself comfortable on the couch.
“Huh? What do you mean he’s gone? You….did he escape?” Jerome asked, eagerly.
“No, no, bro. I meant, he’s dead. Bryson is dead” Blake made it clear to him, and Jerome instantly shut his eyes, pinching the bridge of his nose.
He just couldn’t tell what he felt on hearing that.
It was a crazy mixed feeling.
“I hope you’re not doing what I am thinking, dude. His sins killed him, because I hadn’t even started with the torture I wanted to give him. He was supposed to have died long ago, you know? But he was still being a cat with nine lives” Blake sighed out.
They were still talking, when Alexa and Lenora entered the living room.
They came to meet Janella so they could go out together. The outing was actually more about Janella’s wedding preparations.
They were going to check out her wedding dress, and other related things.
No lectures today, so they decided to do this. It was quite long they all spent time together anyway.
However, the moment they entered, Alexa caught Blake’s attention, and he just began to stare at her, without actually knowing he was also smiling.
Jerome saw that, and he inwardly just chuckled, shaking his head.
“Hi, Jerome” They both said at same time.
“Hey, ladies. You came quite early” Jerome smiled, and they both shrugged, giggling.
“My babies” Janella’s voice was heard as she walked down to join them, while Blake was seriously still staring at Alexa like he had just seen an Angel on earth.
“Dude!! Who’s she?” Blake quickly asked, immediately Janella and her friends later left.
“Obviously Janella’s friend” Jerome replied since he already knew who Blake was talking about.
“She’s beautiful, and I think I like her” Blake spoke, and Jerome just cackled out like a crazy person, making Blake to look at him with curved brows and little chuckles because his cackles actually sounded funny to Blake.
“I knew it! With the way you were staring at her like a man who is falling in love for the first time. I just knew your heart was whispering something to you” Jerome said, and Blake just chuckled again.
“Be serious, bro. Is she going to attend the contest tomorrow? I want to talk to her, and I think tomorrow will be perfect” Blake said. Jerome just couldn’t believe how serious he was.
“Whoa! I thought you were joking, Blake. Are you seriously falling for Alexa?” Jerome mentioned her name, and that really sweetened Blake’s heart.
“That’s her name?” Blake raised his brows in excitement, causing Jerome to burst out laughing, annoyingly.
It was just too funny with the way Blake was acting.
[ CONTEST HALL * NEXT DAY ]
The hall and the whole environment was so crowdy and noisy as everyone was excited about the contest that is about to begin.
Lisandra of course, could be seen with her friends. In fact, with their fans, gingering them to keep supporting her to the very last moment.
She looked really beautiful with her dress and all. Plus, her Mr was looking very handsome as well, no doubt.
It was her beautiful dress that most of her fans were dying for. Top notch as always, and as expected of her.
“It has always been Lisa, our one and only queen, and it will always be who…..?” That was one of Lisandra’s friend, asking their happy fans who just couldn’t wait for the contest, announcement and all to start already.

The overly happy fans of hers, just went wild.
However, they were still on that, when Janella and the rest arrived too.
The moment Lisandra saw Janella and the dress she wore, she just started laughing for no reason.
“Oh my gosh! Is that what she’s gonna climb that stage with? She’s so going home in shame” One of her friends started, and Lisandra laughed more.
“To think she was gonna wear the most expensive dress in the world, owning to the fact that her boyfriend is a f*cking rich guy. Tsk! So I was scared she was gonna beat me with her dress for nothing?” Lisandra laughed hard.
“Oh, gosh! Look at that demigod, Jerome” Lisandra added, licking her lips.
“Wait, who’s the other guy? Never seen him around before” Another girl asked, referring to Blake whose eyes have actually been on Alexa since they all arrived the school.
And yes! Abbey was with them too. She couldn’t miss coming for her sister for anything, geez!
[ AN HOUR LATER ]
Everyone was left in total awe, when it was finally Jerome Janella’s turn to come to the stage and do their own part of the contest.
Janella’s dress was completely changed to another one, arranged by her friends.
They actually didn’t tell her about the dress, they took her by surprise.
Janella, and even the guys couldn’t believe their eyes. Except for Jerome who was part of the plan, but told the girls to not let Janella know that he actually bought the million dollars dress.
Like, the dress was so d@mn beautiful beyond admiration.
There was actually no right word to use in describing the beauty of the dress.
Not like the dress she wore earlier wasn’t beautiful. It definitely was, but that particular one her friends surprised her with, beat everybody’s own who was contesting.
Lisandra on the other hand, felt like making mockery of Janella, despite knowing that her dress was actually beautiful.
However, she (Lisandra) almost went crazy, seeing that Janella had changed into another dress, which she definitely didn’t see coming.
It wasn’t just any dress, but the best designers dress, an extremely expensive one at that.
Lisandra was a fashionista, so she knew the value and beauty of that dress.
“Arrgh! I must win this contest. It has always been me, and no one can change that! Not Janella, not anyone at all from other Universities, never!” Lisandra jealousy said, leaving her friends side in anger.
[ MINUTES LATER ]
“And the overall winners of the first and ever Mr/Miss University of all the Universities in New York City are….” Everyone’s heart began to beat as they waited anxiously for the result.
They actually already announced the first and second runner up
Jerome looked at Janella and smiled, handsomely at her, while she returned the smile, happily.
Jerome then held her hand and kissed it.
“You’ll still, and will always be the Queen of Jerome’s kingdom, whether we win this contest or not, baby” He said, and Janella could do nothing other than to smile hard, blushing.
“Wait, where is Nora?” Janella asked, when she couldn’t find Lenora where she was standing.
“Yeah. And Fred too” Jerome also wondered.
They ( Janella and Jerome) were actually on the stage with the other contestants. But their friends were right at the side of the stage they were.
So it was easier for Janella to notice Lenora’s disappearance.
“Dude, where is Fred?” Jerome asked Brien in sign language, but the dude didn’t quite understand him.
“How could they both leave at this moment of the contest?” Jerome shook his head, still looking around though.
However, the emcee announced the winners of the contest.
“The winners are…..Ms. Lisandra Jones and Mr. Joshua Stones…..”
“Ahh! I won! I won again…..we won!!” Lisandra began to scream in excitement, her fans and her friends weren’t excluded.
Janella just looked at Jerome who immediately smiled at her, making her remember what he earlier told her.
However, Lisandra’s joy was cut short, when.
“Cut the crap, you cheat! How dare you?! Now I see why you always win. It has always been you, and no one else” Came Lenora’s voice, with Fred following afterwards, glaring at Lisandra.
“She cheated, everyone. Watch and see your “Mr/and Miss University, how shameless and desperate she can be” Lenora said, and a big screen of Lisandra and some of her fans, including her friends, packing other people’s votes, including Jerome and Janella’s own into hers. The emcee wasn’t left out.
Everyone’s eyes widened, and they all turned to look at Lisandra…..
