? HOURS EARLIER?
“Isnt Arabella acting a little too strange?”
“She is? If something is bothering her then she can at least put that aside. We the staff will be the one suffering for her problems”
John stood at a distance listening to staff talking about Arabella.
He had been watching the shoot she was having with Gerald and had seen the way she had behaved before running into her booth.
Something is definitely bothering her and it has to do with Gerald.
Taking two bottle of Ara favourite apple juice. He went to her booth, hoping to cheer her up only for him to stop when he heard Gerald voice coming from the booth.
“I love you Arabella and what we shared yesterday isn’t because I want to punish you. Its because I love and want you in my life. Not as the nanny or as a model but as my wife ” Gerald told her.
“What’s wrong? Dont you feel the same way? Did I get your conversation with Nina wrong?” Gerald spoke again.
“You didn’t get it wrong. I do love you Gerald but I don’t know…..this is all going fast and we…..we……”
“We are now a couple. Don’t think about anything else. Just think about us”Gerald supplied for her.
“I really like that”he heard Arabella reply and judging by the silence, he could tell that they were both kissing.
“We should go back for the shoot now”
On hearing Gerald say, he quickly move to where he wouldn’t be seen.
He stood watching the two of them head back to the shooting ground.
He had only stopped himself from pursuing Arabella because he had been sure that she and Gerald wouldn’t get close due to their dislike for each other but as it turns out they are now a couple.
He threw the juice in an empty bin and head to his car, feeling angry and wanting to leave the shooting site.
He got a call just as soon as he got to his car and on answering, he got the news he has been waiting for a while now.
“Are you sure about It? Its just my intuition but is there a prove?”John asked his personal detective.
“I am sure. Check your email,have sent you the necessary things you need as prove”The detective replied.
As soon as he could, he drove back to Arabella parents home and went to his room to check the email in his laptop and it was there.
Apparently the detective had send the DNA report of his and Fiona. She’s his daughter just as he presumed. Feeling happy about it, he wanted to call Arabella and tell her about it but he decided to wait to talk to her alone but she was always with Gerald.
Through the team dinner, he sat watching her and Gerald acting indifferent while also being sweet to each other. Others were oblivious to their relationship but he knew and he feels very angry about it.
He had to talk to Arabella and that have got to happen tonight.
LATER THAT NIGHT
“Am Fiona’s father”John said and Arabella stood rigid, trying to digest the news he just threw at her.
“I couldn’t believe it as well but after hearing your conversation with your father that day. You had said that you went to a party and had slept with a stranger that stranger turned out to be me”John told her and this time Arabella spoke.
“But that’s impossible. You don’t know anyone here and you weren’t even here at that time. How come I….we…..”
“I knew it would be hard for you to believe me and that’s why i brought this”He said giving her the DNA report.
“What’s this?”Arabella asked.
“Just open and see it”John said and she did as he said.
“Th….this is a DNA result of you and Fiona. Its says here that it’s Ninety nine percent true”She gasp out starring at him in shock.
John moved towards her to hold onto her shaking hands.
She didn’t know if it was his nearness or his male scent that triggered it but she found her mind going back to what happened years ago.
She remembered that the man she had slept with had teased her about her mole on the curve of her Brë@št and if John really is the one. He will certainly remember it too.
“The mole is still there right? Remember I told you that night that am going to mark you right there as mine?”He asked confirming her thoughts and once again her mind drifted off to the past.
“I like this mole of yours! I’d like to mark you right there”John had teased her drunkingly.
“Then do. I would gladly like it if you do it”Arabella had returned drunkingly too and he had ended up doing as she said.
On remembering that, Arabella moved away from him, starring at him like some stranger.
“Aren’t you glad to know that am Fiona father?”He asked starring at her.
“I..I….I am glad but somehow it feels strange. Who would have thought that you who turned out to be a colleague of mine is the same man whom I slept with years ago”She said softly still finding the whole thing odd
“It shouldn’t feel strange to you. To me I would call it destiny”John said suddenly and she looked up at him.
“What do you mean by that?”
“You,Fiona and I were separated in the past . Let’s not make the same mistake this time around and do the right thing”John said to her.
“And what will the right thing be?”She asked.
“We tell Fiona about it and then we get married. “he said.
“To be sincere with you. I really like you Arabella. I have liked you ever since I layed my eyes on you. I was a fool for not recognising you, for not knowing about our child and for letting you be alone when your parents took Fiona away but that won’t happen again. Am here now and I think it’s time for us to……”
“I think you’ve been keeping Arabella for a long time now “Gerald said suddenly interrupting John.
“This is a private disscussion between Arabella and…..”
“Have been patient enough but you’ve been taken a lot of her time and that’s why am here, to take her with me. She’s been stressed from the shooting today and it’s time she take a rest”Gerald said pulling Arabella towards him.
“And would that rest be right in your bed?”John asked suddenly and while Arabella gasp out in shock. Gerald kept calm and turned to smile at him.
“Yes. The rest will be right in my bed, so save your disscussion for another day”Gerald stated as he pulled Arabella out of the garden while Gerald glared at him from behind.

“Are you okay?”Gerald asked as he came to seat beside her on the bed.
“Judging from the look on your face. You must have heard everything John told me”Arabella said in return and he nodded.
“Turns out he is Fiona father. Its really a shock to me”Arabella added as she drank the glass of water that had been given to her by Gerald.
“So what are you going to do about it now cause I think John wouldn’t stay still knowing the truth”
“We will just have to tell Fiona first. I don’t care about the press finding out the truth, what bothers me is Fiona. She needs to hear it all from me”Arabella said and Gerald nodded in return.
“Then we will leave first thing tomorrow. Why don’t you go and pack your stuff while I book our flight”Gerald suggested and she stood up to do as he says only for her to be pulled back into his arms.
He kissed her on the lips and also on the forehead. “I love you”He muttered while she beamed him a smile.
“I love you too”She said in return before leaving the room.
